  1. I think a lot of Duck fans have not yet quite bought the hype that national pundits have been giving us because they actually watched the Spring Game, and Dillon Gabriel did not stand out as some extraordinary quarterback. So, we have zero evidence that he's gelling with the team. That being said, if you just go by the talent you see on his career tape there should be no cause for concern. Again, it's just quite unfortunate that the team has not showed him doing anything in a scrimmage. As far as expectations go, based on his career and him being one year older and more experienced, I am expecting him to be invited to the Heisman Trophy Ceremony and to lead Oregon the the Playoffs. Anything less than getting us to the Playoffs would absolutely be a failure, in my opinion.
  2. He had some really bad misses on wide open deep balls last year. I wouldn't want him to be my starting QB if he can't throw long dimes. He's a great backup, though.
  3. I just searched for it on my YouTube TV account, and it looks like the next episode for Campus Eats is on Wednesday at 1pm. It just happens to be this episode: "West Coastin'". I'm not paid by YouTube or Google or anything, but if you have YouTube TV you can just click on the + symbol next to the show name, and it will record all future episodes. YouTube TV has unlimited DVR. If you watch a Ducks event there will be an alert on your tv or computer that says "would you like to record ALL events involving the Oregon Ducks?" Or something like that. It might just ask to record all the games from the same sport. Either way- good stuff!
  4. Unlikely, Stein will be a head coach for a program that can't sign him.
  5. I did laugh a bit when our high school QB commit said "he looks forward to spending 4 years with Coach Will Stein" Uh, well, he's probably going to be gone in one to three years from now.
  6. Playing Oregon State twice a decade is sufficient in my mind. Certainly no more than every four years. Screw em'. I have absolutely zero sympathy for them.
  7. Wait, so his name is Supreme Cook? Nice. Get cookin'. Glad we got a heavier big man besides Bittle. 6'9'' isn't that tall but I'll take what we can get with such short notice. He's a power forward that also can play the center position, let's be honest.
  8. The ACC isn't going to settle on buyouts. If FSU wants out then they have to pay $572M. ESPN is going to keep FSU and Clemson, because they can't force the SEC to take them. ESPN isn't going to let FSU go to the Big 10 if they can hold them hostage.
  9. Tier 2 is basically the average salary for one person in Oregon. This money is inconsequential.
  10. Me trying to figure out the PAC-12 Tournament Bracket:
  11. "Pardon me, would you have any Grey Poupon? I have a Big Ten Championship Game to attend, and this filet marinated in Big 12 tears is a little dry." poupon.mp4
  12. I'm getting pretty tired of Jurrion Dickey not getting plays called that are supposed to go his way. That deep interception toss threw him under the bus, and to top it off he got injured again. Hopefully he and Stewart will get a bunch of looks in the early season. Tez is a niche player, but we need stars to pan out.
  13. I built a 550 sq. ft. cottage for AirBnB purposes in 2011 out of an old tool/wood shed that connected to my double garage. But I live in Eugene. I suppose that some Ohio State fans might take a whole week off and stay for a few days in Portland or the coast, but those are not the type of people that are going to use just a bedroom. At any rate, it's super easy to sign up for AirBnB or VRBO. I don't even think you are allowed to actually give people the breakfast part of a bed and breakfast. In almost every case the goal of guests is to never see the host! It's 2024, nobody wants that. They want a door with a keycode, and they want to come and go when they want. Anyway, if you're going to take the time to do a quick rental, then I'd suggest just renting out your whole house for 5 days or a week and then stay with friends or in-laws while the people are there. You could charge about $600-800 (or more depending on where you live and what your house is like) a night for that. Otherwise it's not worth it. Just getting money for one bedroom for a one-off thing isn't worth it. You'll have to buy them their own shampoos and soaps, and then you'll have to offer them new sheets, most likely. Etc, etc.
  14. She did so much for everyone here. What a great person she was.
  15. If we could make FishDuck members de-age 26 years I'd say that would be a win, and more important than Oregon Basketball.
  16. I'd probably consider not signing with Oregon because of the court, to be honest. No joke.
  17. It's not "spend it or lose it", to be fair.
  18. It's high school spring break. The students in the AV club that are planning to film and show the games on public access TV don't have access to their school computers until Monday.
  19. I think that has to do with Hamlet's mother marrying his uncle Cleetus, and Hamlet's own Oedipus Complex. Just the way things are in S-E-C territory. I kid, I kid.
  20. I doubt Evans will stick around for a junior season, unfortunately. Kel'el Ware is even going to be drafted in the late first round in June.
  21. This situation is difficult for me to evaluate. I don't blame the SEC for scheduling only 8 conference games. If they can get away with it and make a lot of money...then good for them, I guess? But is it noble? To schedule more SEC conference games, or not to schedule: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles.
  22. Good thing I read the article, then! But I'm a unicorn these days. I consider ads, especially tv and streaming ads, to be critical to the solvency and future of American sports and entertainment. The younger generations and the forgetful Gen-Xers forget how bills actually get paid.
  23. The NFL Combine ended on Sunday, March 3rd! For the most part it ended on Saturday the 2nd, as Sunday was just offensive linemen doing a few things. I got tricked into watching on Sunday, hoping to see Jackson Powers-Johnson run the 40, but he didn't participate in that!
  24. I share with you my strength, Kim. Hope to see your post again when they come.
  25. This is what I have been thinking these past few years as well. The only reason players should transfer out of Oregon for football or basketball is because they don't want to sit on the bench. If people are bailing you've got a problem.
