  1. Hopefully the Ducks will host Alabama at home, in late December, for a playoff game, in the not so distant future.
  2. Perhaps Coach Lanning is so tired of answering the third quarter scoring woes, he just said: “[forget] it, I’m going to use this fake punt and 2 point conversion I’ve been saving all year!”
  3. For anyone who had a chance to see John Robinson coach, what made his teams and him as a coach unique and good (besides the talent)?
  4. John McKay also played for Oregon from 1947-1949. So did John Robinson and his friend John Madden (briefly).
  5. LOL. The agent should have a pay-per-view live NIL auction for the kid's services.
  6. Ducks vs Them | 2024 Oregon Football Game 10 (Maryland) | "First All-Time"
  7. USC or UCLA should hire Mario on a 3-year contract. He could build the roster for the next coach, who would hopefully do something with those players...
  8. Very creative play calling on that last series. Props to Coach Stein.
  9. Another slow start by the offense to start the second half.
  10. That might be it for Cam Ward’s Heisman campaign. Classic Mario, dropping a game to a team he should never lose to.
  11. The problem is it might set the market for future top QB recruits. I would be surprised if Oregon’s collectives were willing to spend that much for an unproven high school recruit. Might as well get a proven veteran transfer QB.
  12. This is getting ridiculous. Paying an unproven 17-18 year old $10M to come to your school?
  13. Talkin Ducks FULL episode - Breaking down the win at Michigan, Tez's injury, and Oregon's road ahea
  14. Mike Tyson: "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." Oregon punched Ohio State in the mouth (hit them with jabs and then went for the haymakers) and broke OSU's defense. As I mentioned in my earlier post, Ohio State was overconfident that their NFL talent could beat Oregon in 1:1 matchups. What they failed to recognize is that Oregon has NFL talent too, and some really good and freakin' fast wide receivers, and a QB that can drop a dime. As one of our wide receivers said before or after the game, Ohio State hadn't seen anyone like Oregon's wide receivers. Their game plan might work against the rest of the B1G but not Oregon..."that team out West" is "mighty different." I'm expecting a much different game plan in a potential rematch; hopefully, Oregon's coaching staff makes some adjustments too and we can come out on top again.
  15. Credit to Coach Day and the Ohio State coaching staff for admitting that there were some issues that Oregon exposed and making adjustments. They came into the Oregon game overconfident that their front 4 could get pressure with minimal blitzing and that their CBs could cover Oregon’s receivers. Obviously, it did not go well for them. I’m sure we would see a different approach if the two teams played again and I’m sure that Coach Lanning and staff would make adjustments, as well. That said, if Oregon’s offense is playing well, I’m not sure there is a defense in college football that will be able to completely stop it.
  16. Love them but surprised they didn't save those for the Huskies game! If we are fortunate enough to make it to the college football championship game, I would love to see these uniforms or a 1995 Rose Bowl throwback uniform with the interlocking UO, as an ode to where Oregon's national rise began.
  17. Is there a better motivator in college football today than Dan Lanning?!
  18. The B1G got a steal with Oregon. We have to pull the dead weight for both LA schools and our little brother up North...
  19. Urban Meyer, on a B1G Network show, mentioned that offensive line is the hardest position to recruit today. There simply aren't enough big, athletic high school players to fill the rosters of all of the top programs so you have to project what a 6'3", 270 lb. kid will play like at 325 lbs. and then you need to get him in the weight room and work on technique. I believe that he was referring to Ohio State but indicated that no one has much depth on the offensive line.
  20. You get a pass, if you’ve won a couple of national championships in the past couple of years… Sweeney at Clemson is another one. Guess his last championship is outside the window.
  21. The same could be said of many coaches/schools across the nation - Franklin/Penn State, Riley/USC, DeBoer/Alabama, etc. Both coaches looked on edge in the OSU/PSU game and it looked like their heads were going to explode at any minute. We should be thanking our lucky stars right now. “The grass is damn green, in Eugene.”
  22. "What’s so special about football is the love in that room. How many people get to go work and talk about the love everybody they get to go to work with. I love our team. I love everybody in that locker room. That makes this a lot of fun." - Coach Lanning, Post-Michigan Game Press Conference You heard it from Coach Lanning and Dillon Gabriel, after the game, that this TEAM loves and believes in one another. Some of the transfers mentioned, earlier this week, how quickly the TEAM has bonded, and that they are grateful to be at Oregon, pursue their goals including competing for a championship. To win a championship, you need more than just good players, coaches and a system, you need chemistry. This TEAM appears to have that special bond to go with their incredible talent and a veteran QB leading the offense. I would not bet against the 2024 Oregon Ducks football TEAM!
