Washington vs. Rutgers: "Good-or-Good?"
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Well, we’ll have to agree to disagree. Washington’s 0-12 season is as much as I have enjoyed a college football season. Oregon at its worse never managed that feat. -

What was DG looking at? That’s a true freshman mistake. -

Man, UCLA’s defense is sure chirping and playing dirty. Hope the Ducks can bury them so Dante Moore can get some quality playing time. -

It’s tough to go on the road and win a game against good teams. Georgia battled back and shouldn’t fall too far in the polls. -

Way to go Burch. Need to see that more consistently this season. So much talent. Go get that NFL money! -
My heart goes out to you and your family.

The defensive line needs to start getting more pressure. -
Does Anyone Have Suggestions on Where to Stream UCLA game?
OregonDucks replied to Jemangi's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I just completely ditched xfinity. You should check the other high speed cable options in your area. There may be better choices in terms of speed, price and customer service. Comcast is terrible. I'm saving ~$75 per month with my new high speed fiber internet and Youtube TV (that's with one of Comcast's 2 year deals). Got tired of the consistent price increases. -
New Uniform For Michigan State?
OregonDucks replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon should just switch to yellow as the default for game days. It stands out better than green or black and is, therefore, more intimidating for opposing teams, IMO. -
With his "potential," Bear will land in a good program. A lot of coaches just can't help themselves...

Eastern Washington University is not eligible since they don't have "State" in their school name...

Miami plays at Cal next weekend in a late night game. I would not be shocked if they lose that game.

Portland State is available

It will be interesting to see if the voters treat that "victory" last night as a loss, since no rational person will agree that the ruling on the field should have been overturned by some autonomous replay official. After watching Miami, I'm not as concerned about them as I was before. They are definitely beatable, even in Miami.

As 30Duck said, it's not fear, it's hate! I'll never root for the Huskies, even if it would help the Ducks. -

A yellow-out will look great at night for Oregon's first B1G home game in primetime on a Friday night! -
As a Duck fan, you have to love the relentlessness of Coach Lanning. He also plays the long game, realizing that if he develops a solid relationship with these young men and it doesn't work out for them wherever they sign, then the transfer portal is still a viable option down the road (e.g., Dante Moore). Location should be in Oregon's favor for this specific recruit.

Elite Recruiting Mountain Too High for Ducks’ Lanning?
OregonDucks replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great article and questions. Location and lack of in state talent has always been an issue at Oregon. Coach Lanning and his staff should be given major credit for the job they’ve done to sign talent from coast to coast. Oregon is a national brand. I’ve never understood why team recruiting rankings are based on the total score vs. average star rating (or a combination of the two). It inflates the rankings of teams with a big class. I guess my question in return is - while it would be nice to consistently sign a top 5 recruiting class, does Oregon need to in order to compete for national championships every year or is a consistent top 10 class, with an occasional top 5 class, good enough? -

It’s on Fox so a TV with rabbit ears would work. -
At least the coach knows that the school is in Los Angeles!

Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel addresses Oklahoma departure after Brent Venables' comments WWW.YAHOO.COM After a whirlwind of news and quotes about his departure from Oklahoma Tuesday, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel addressed those comments with media. Seems to still be an open question, after the young OU QB performed poorly this weekend. According to OU Coach Venables, he was not: "Venables said that Gabriel ultimately wanted to play closer to home in Hawaiiand was looking for a change of scenery after offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby left for Mississippi State. 'You can't make a guy stay,' Venables said. 'The guys is trying to find the next thing; the next chapter for him. I'm sure there was probably some disappointment that (Gabriel) wasn't more highly thought of in the NFL. He had an amazing year. He was a fantastic quarterback. But we didn't run anybody off or things like that.'" However, Dillon Gabriel seemed to side-step the question: "'Honestly it's so far gone,' Gabriel said. 'I just know God's got me right where I need to be. I've got a smile on my face every day because I'm in Eugene, Oregon, around a bunch of great guys. Of course, those are guys that are my brothers for life and guys I've played with. Like I said, it's people I still talk to on the team, players-wise. You focus on what you can control and that's right where I'm at. Like I said, I'm happy. I know God put me right where I need to be and I think that's all that needs to be said, honestly.'"
