Post-Game Thoughts: Will Oregon Grow From This?
I feel bad for Allar but it might be a blessing in disguise for all parties involved.

Post-Game Thoughts: Will Oregon Grow From This?
For whatever reason, Coach Lanning and staff have not recruited well on the offensive line and have had to rely on transfers to plug holes in the roster. I’d like to hear from those in the know what has happened. Are they evaluation misses, injuries, lack of development or something else? Mario was a mediocre head coach but at least he recruited and developed elite offensive lines, and he is doing the same at Miami.

If they got pushed around by a smaller Indiana what will Ohio State, LSU, Miami, etc al do against our OL?

Coach Stein has had 2 weeks to come up with this game plan?!

Join Us! Discussion of 'Non-Oregon' Games Today...
Slick Rick has been complimentary of and picked Oregon in the past. Can’t remember if it was last year or this but I believe he picked Oregon to win the national championship (maybe that was his version of the jinx?).

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Indiana...Let's Discuss!
It appears that Oregon players let all of the compliments get in their heads after the Penn State victory. Hope they can reset and make adjustments in the second half. I’d like to see some WR/TE screens and some plays across the middle.

Indiana is winning both lines of scrimmage. Our DEs have been a non factor and Dante Moore is getting a lot of pressure.

Everything Limar can do, Davison can do it better, IMO.

Lamar is solid but does nothing spectacular against better teams. The freshman make plays.

Dante Moore gives up on plays too quickly. It’s probably the UCLA PTSD.

They are going to get called. They shouldn’t be allowed to run as part of the shift. Indiana is getting hosed by the officials or they would be up by a score or two.

Whittingham and Lamar need to sit. It’s time for the fabulous freshman.

Dan Is OBD's Man!
This is no knock on Coach Lanning but all coaches say the same thing until they accept another offer and leave. Time will tell. We should enjoy Coach Lanning, while he is Eugene, but our AD should always maintain a short list of potential replacements.

A B1G Autzen Expansion? 'Not-So-Fast!'
The acoustics would be my first concern with any expansion. People, including Coach Bellotti, say that Autzen stadium was louder before the expansion (it could be the result of moving the turf). Oregon would likely have to build a parking structure as part of the expansion.

A B1G Autzen Expansion? 'Not-So-Fast!'
I thought the drive from Portland to Eugene was bad until I went to State College, PA. My goodness is that place in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE and they only have 2-3 hotels in town. Penn State somehow manages to pack the stadium with 100K+ (111K for the Oregon game) and reports 90K+ season ticket holders. I don’t understand. It seems to defy natural laws - like gravity.

ESPN GameDay Crew Makes Their Prediction Picks....
That was a great turnout and they brought the energy early. One thing I was disappointed with (besides the seek of the guest picker) is the crowd didn’t sing along with Mat Kearney. That was one of the most impressive things about the Penn State game - the pageantry and everyone’s involvement.

Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
We can agree to disagree. Then he should be on the show, instead of her. She’s a great basketball player but Oregon has plenty of other alumni, some of whom played football for the Ducks, to choose from.

Oregon is Almost a Blue Blood, but Not Quite.
Didn’t we lose a certain RB, who reportedly wanted to play his final year closer to him, to USC?
-
Which Guest Picker is Coming to Our City?
I don’t understand the pick. She wasn’t that great the last time and Oregon has plenty of people who haven’t done it before who know more about football.

Oregon is Almost a Blue Blood, but Not Quite.
Oregon will never be a blue blood to those programs, just like the richest people in the world are considered “new money.” Who cares? Oregon is widely acknowledged as a top 5 college football program nationally by those in the know. Everyone knows Oregon football, we have one of the best head coaches in the game, we can and do recruit with anyone in the country (backed by an organized and strong NIL program), have world class facilities and are constantly competing for national championships. There are no guarantees but most people believe it’s just a matter of time before Oregon wins a national championship. What other college football programs would you trade places with right now?

I agree with you about wearing yellow to show unity. The “lightning strikes” game against Michigan was the first time I remembered that happening and it looked amazing in person, on TV and in pictures. They were also selling cheap, non-branded “lightning strikes” T-shirts (~$10) for the game which probably helped. Unfortunately there are too many stubborn Duck fans (“I will wear what I want to wear.”). I completely disagree with your comment about the Penn State game. My wife and I could not understand why Duck fans would wear white. The “white out” was for the benefit and support of Penn State not Oregon, and our AD asked our fans to wear green. But I digress. If you are going to the game on Saturday please wear yellow. The bookstore and stores will probably sell yellow ponchos, if it is raining.

NCAA Officially Adopts New Transfer Portal Rules, Including Major Adjustment for Players After Coaching Change
Why should this be a concern? If they decide to transfer then have them wait until summer before joining their new program. Isn’t the college football playoffs more important for coaches and players?

NCAA Officially Adopts New Transfer Portal Rules, Including Major Adjustment for Players After Coaching Change
I don’t agree with this but believe that the number of times a student athlete can transfer should be limited. Some athletes hop from one program to another every single year. Perhaps the first time they get to transfer they are eligible immediately but subsequent transfers would require sitting out a year?

I like the one transfer portal window but why not just move it until after the season concludes, so that it’s not a distraction or negative for those players playing in the post season?
