GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. Washington...Let's Discuss!
We aren’t showing our full run game play arsenal. Where are the outside pitches/runs? Counters? I do like the options and Dante Moore read them correctly.

And Oregon will still have the more talented team on the field. Take care of business!

Injured Available Today vs Huskies?
I saw somewhere they were all listed as “doubtful,” so I would be surprised if we saw them against the puppies.

Big Saturday Games That Are 'Non-Oregon,' So Let's Discuss!
B1G officials protecting its #1 team. Even the Fox announcers and replay expert said that was a touchback. They even showed a close up that showed J. Smith’s foot was out of bounds. Unbelievable.

USC Buying It’s 2026 Recruiting Class a la A&M
On this week’s Talkin’ Ducks, George Wrightster said that USC’s collective is offering DT Tomuhini Topui $2M+ in NIL. For that much, George claimed that Oregon could pay both Matayo Uiagalelei and Teitum Tuioti. They also are reportedly offering TE Mark Bowman a record $8-10M deal over 3-4 years. Let’s hope it ends the same way for U$C and Riley as it did for Texas ATM and Jimbo. https://athlonsports.com/college/nil-daily/usc-lands-5-star-te-in-record-nil-deal-for-2026

Updated Playoff Bracket Post A&M Loss
And Oregon beat Penn State on the road when they were ranked #2 and USC by a larger margin than Notre Dame did. A&M’s SEC schedule was a joke. Like Ohio State they didn’t play any of the top teams in the conference- no Georgia, no Bama, no Ole’ Miss, no Oklahoma. Texas might have been the first ranked SEC team A&M faced this year.

That puts the Green Wave on the doorstep of the playoff no matter what head coach Jon Sumrall decides to do on Sunday. The Ducks have a tricky one in Seattle against Washington but will be virtually assured with the easiest first-round game in Autzen Stadium on top of a potentially excellent path through the bracket if they do so convincingly. Coaching Carousels
I’m a little surprised that Cal isn’t looking for an offensive minded coach, given how bad they’ve been on that side of the ball under Wilcox.
-
Coaching Carousels
Good point. Tosh isn’t the best defensive coordinator, IMO, but he is a fantastic recruiter. Coach Lanning has quite a track record with sending d-lineman to the NFL going back to his Georgia days himself and it will be important to find a DL coach who is a great recruiter and developer. I have no doubt that he will be able to find good coaching talent. Hopefully this does not affect our current recruiting commitments.

Coaching Carousels
I would immediately make Hampton the interim DC (as a trial period), while you go through the search process, and let Tosh leave to focus on his new program.

Oregon's Uniform Reveal vs. Trojans
I agree with you. Oregon’s Kelly Green and yellow uniforms really pop on the ESPN College Gameday intro. and that color combination is really unique in college football (like the Green Bay Packers). Wish they would use the black more sparingly (once a year).

Anyone else notice Akili Smith Jr. in the uniform reveal video, as they are showing clips of his dad’s TD pass to Patrick Johnson in Seattle? LOL.

CFP Rankings 11/25 - Oregon at No. 6
I completely disagree. Oregon’s strength of schedule is rated higher than all those teams and our only loss is to #2 Indiana. Coach Lanning does not care about margin of victory. He is perfectly content to put the 3/4s in the 4th quarter or play a low scoring slugfest, if that’s what’s called for.

How is Texas Tech ranked above Oregon?

And There Goes Another: Cal fires Wilcox
If you had to choose one, is UCLA or Cal the better job?
-
Will Stein To Arkansas??
If Oregon’s coordinators leave, I hope they are selective. The last thing they need is to end up at a program that doesn’t have the resources to compete. I also don’t see the cultural fit with Stein and Arkansas.

I can’t root for Ohio State. Just can’t.

Oregon vs. USC was the Game this Season Needed
The B1G schedulers have the four West Coast teams playing one another to finish the last two weeks of the season. Last week: USC at Oregon Washington at UCLA Next week: Oregon at Washington UCLA at USC I would personally rather play our former PAC-10 opponents than travel to the Midwest or Northeast in mid to late November.

Penn State Targeting DeBoer
I do think Lane could recruit slightly higher caliber players at LSU or Florida than at Ole Miss and, therefore, the odds of winning a national championship should also be higher at those programs but the expectations are exponentially higher. It’ll be interesting to see what Lane decides to do.

Coaches Poll: Oregon Moved UP....??
I read somewhere that Oregon would face Indiana in the B1G Conference Championship Game, under that scenario. Although it would be great to win back-to-back conference championships, many believe it would be better to rest and heal conference championship weekend before hosting a playoff home game (preferably on the other side of the bracket as Ohio State). All four teams with the extended layoff last year lost in the first round.
