  1. Bo needs to work on his deep ball during the bye week. He’s overthrowing his receivers by a step. Not sure if it’s technique or he just needs to work on timing with his receivers.
  2. Bo Nix with another ho-hum 85% completion %, 250+ yards and 3 TDs (after 3 quarters)…
  3. Defense did a nice job of making adjustments and settling down after the first quarter, and the offense was very business like.
  4. If asking for Oregon taxpayers to bail you out because you lost money during the Covid-19 season makes you Oregon’s team…then, yes, Oregon State is Oregon’s team. Oregon State paints ‘devastating’ financial picture, Oregon says move to Big Ten adds ‘stability and visibility’ at legislative hearing WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM During a public hearing before the House Interim Committee On Higher Education, school presidents and athletic directors detailed how the implosion of the Pac-12 — and Oregon’s defection to the Big Ten — will impact the schools and their athletic departments moving forward.
  5. Not a huge fan. We could have done better for a nationally televised game.
  6. Boettcher has been a pleasant surprise this year. He reminds me of Kiko Alonso - he always seems to be in right position and brings the hurt. Love to see him get more playing time.
  7. And if it weren’t for the defections, starting with the LA schools, imagine the media deal the PAC-12 could get starting next season…
  8. If this is true then I hope that Oregon prepares as if Travis Hunter is going to play on Saturday and adjust if he’s unable to go. Personally I was looking forward to seeing this extremely talented, young man at Autzen on Saturday.
  9. I was thinking the same thing. The interior offensive line is not blowing their opponents off the ball, creating the large holes we, Oregon fans and RBs, are accustomed to seeing. That’s troubling since they should have been able to dominate Hawaii’s front 7 (most of the successful runs were to the outside). I’m not sure what the reason is (e.g., center/OG talent, technique, scheme) but it’s something that they need to figure out before UW, USC, OSU, Utah, et al. Oregon’s coaches need to have confidence that they can pick up a critical 3rd or 4th and short with the inside run game.
  10. First to answer the OP’s question - yes! I lived in Southern Cal and you won’t find a more arrogant, entitled bunch than USC fans. [However, like LA fans in general, they miraculously disappear when they aren’t doing well.] Nevada Dawg - Oregon and West Coast football fans are well aware of USC’s history. However, that was largely back before the 85 scholarship limit. Back then, the top programs could just stockpile all of the top recruits, preventing other programs from getting talent to compete. USC was also one of the few programs on TV, given the limited slots available before cable, so that was another huge selling point to recruits. Luckily, things have changed, except USC fans’ perception of where they fit in in today’s college football landscape.
  11. If Dan Lanning and his family were unhappy in Eugene, I doubt that he would have just signed a contract extension with a $20M buy-out. That’ll limit his exit options.
  12. I hope that the offense can really work on the run game against Hawaii. The big guys up front should dominate Hawaii’s front 7. Pound Hawaii into submission and then do the same to Colorado!
  13. Josh Conerly, Jr., who had 3 false starts, said it wasn’t the DL stems that caused the penalties but to being too anxious. He calmed down and cleaned it up in the second half. I’m sure he’ll be fine. He is a great OT. Oregon football left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. takes ownership of false start penalties WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Oregon committed 4 false starts, 3 by left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. and 1 by center Jackson...
  14. There were only 2 penalties in the PSU game. Let’s see how the coaches and team respond going forward. I’m sure that it’ll be a MAJOR point of emphasis this week. That said, there are some players that play out of control. It’s up to the coaches to determine whether the player is doing more harm than good when on the field.
  15. And if you take away the stupid penalties, particularly the ones that resulted in automatic first downs, the defense performance would improve immediately. Let's give the coaches and team a couple of weeks to sort this out. There are quite a bit of new players on the defense and they may need some time to gel... What happened to Jacobs?
  16. LOL. It'll be the first game Oregon has played in Autzen this year, too! Enjoy the game.
  17. Undisciplined. Sloppy. This team has a lot of work to do in all phases of the game before they face the top teams in the Pac-12. Colorado will not be a cakewalk on 9/23 and we'll need to be in top form to have a chance in Seattle on 10/14. As someone else mentioned, Bo carried Oregon to a victory. He is a baller and in the biggest moments, he seems to play the best.
  18. He is talented but plays out of control. Now we know why he no longer plays for a certain coach.
  19. LOL. The funniest thing with the interception return for a TD with 35 seconds left, is that Oregon covered the point spread.
  20. Oregon is officially on upset alert. Dan Lanning and staff are getting completely out coached. Sloppy game all around. Disappointing.
  21. Well researched article (much better than the lazy traditional media and analysts). That’s one of the reasons I love this site.
