Oregon Ducks Playing in the Super Bowl Today
OregonDucks replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Lenoir had a nice strip for a fumble and Armstead tackled Mahomes from behind on 3rd and long. Ducks representing. -
Erik Armstead and Deommodore Lenior are both starters on the San Francisco 49ers defense. Terrance Mitchell is listed on the practice squad. I don't see any Oregon Ducks listed on the Kansas City Chiefs roster. Let's go Niners!!! The NCAA has had a few years and has done nothing. In fact, it’s only getting worse. NIL and the transfer portal are completely out of control. Players are free agents every single year and there is no salary cap. Experienced coaches are retiring or going to the NFL to escape the madness. The interests of the NCAA and the hundreds of the member schools may not align with those of the elite programs. I’m glad the SEC and B1G have seen enough and are finally trying to come up with solutions.

Oregon fans are well aware of the dangers of only focusing on recruiting stars. That coach down at Miami chased stars and didn’t properly evaluate and/or develop that talent he brought to Eugene. Many of them transferred out when Dan Lanning arrived. I disagree with the poster about top 5 talent at their positions. You’ve got to have a drive or hunger to reach your full potential.

He's also a really hard hitting safety. Really looking forward to seeing Savage in an Oregon uniform.

Muhammad to Oregon: Think the Huskies Are FINE With It?
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
We had a RB transfer to Oregon State a couple of years ago and I recall Oregon fans wishing him the best, except when he played the Ducks. None of our players would transfer to Washington. That would be too far of a step down... -
Muhammad to Oregon: Think the Huskies Are FINE With It?
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You posted the nicer ones, Charles. There were some pretty sick posts attacking Mohammed personally, and of course Phil Knight. Stay classy Huskies. I LOLed at one of the posts criticizing transfers in general, given the only reason that Washington was good the last two years was because of a transfer QB. -

Sources: Harbaugh Accepts Head Coach Job with Chargers
OregonDucks replied to AllOregon's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is a slam dunk hire for the Chargers and great for Justin Herbert’s career. Coach Harbough played QB and has always seemed to connect with and get the most out of his QBs. He nearly won a Super Bowl in San Francisco with Kaepernick. What’s he going to be able to do with an all pro QB with Hall of Fame talent? -
What a great video. We, as Oregon Duck football fans, are so blessed that Mr. Bo Nix transferred to Eugene to play his final 2 seasons of college football. It was an absolute privilege to watch this terrific young man play QB. He made our team and program better. Thank you, Bo. Godspeed. We will all be cheering for you in the NFL and beyond.

Hopefully Oregon’s staff isn’t spending too much time on Blair’s recruitment. 1) The chances of Harbough being in Michigan in 2 years seem slim. 2) What percentage of LDS kids, who go on their mission, enroll in the school they committed to out of high school (excluding BYU)? 3) Also, what will Oregon’s WR room look like in 2 years (we already have two 4-star commits in the 2025 class)?

Husky Hits and Snorts Don't End...
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Those are morbid comparisons, even for a Husky fan. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives on 9/11, many honorable men and women in our military lost their lives during Pearl Harbor and the nation lost its leader in JFK. This is only sport... -
Husky Hits and Snorts Don't End...
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
At least Taggard and Cristobal left the cupboard full (with their top 5 recruiting classes). Whomever takes over at Washington is looking at a complete rebuild. It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch... -
I’m not surprised that Cam Ward pulled his name from the NFL draft but thought that he might end up at Bama with DeBoer.

QUAAACK!!! Caldwell is a Duck!
OregonDucks replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon State's field goal kicker (Atticus Sappington) transferred to Oregon. He was 13-14 last year with a long of 48 yards. -
"Following DeBoer agreeing to coach Alabama in early afternoon, the UW called a players' meeting. One father posted that roughly only 25 percent of the team attended it." MSN WWW.MSN.COM

UW fans were laughing at Oregon fans a couple of days ago, when Lanning was supposedly the leading candidate. Irony?!!!

QUAAACK!!! Evan Stewart Commits to Oregon
OregonDucks replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree. That said, last season, Evan Stewart made contested catches downfield that not many college wide receivers are capable of. Someone said that he makes 50/50 balls 75/25. His potential is off the charts. Hopefully, Oregon can get the most out of him. -
QUAAACK!!! Evan Stewart Commits to Oregon
OregonDucks replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Evan Stewart appears to be a great replacement for Troy Franklin. Dillon Gabriel is going to love having him as a weapon. Stewart is a true deep threat and makes tough, contested catches all over the field. Looks like a terrific pickup for the Oregon Ducks. I'm shocked that he didn't have more production at Texas A&M this past year but I don't know much about the Aggie's offense or QB. -
He’ll take the Ohio State job when Day is fired because losing to Michigan is a prerequisite in Columbus and he has that one down…

Anyone else think that Penix's draft stock decreased after this game?
