  1. I don't think Nix is a great QB or will be a great QB, however there is a lot of cherry picking stats. His completion percentage increased every year. His average pass increased every year. He had 3 interceptions last year. He was sacked the fewest times in his career at 12 last season. Granted, last season he did only play 10 games. Comparing Brown and Nix last season. Brown ORE CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD INT LNG SACK RTG 250 390 64.1 2,989 7.7 18 7 66 23 140.1 Nix AUB CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD INT LNG SACK RTG 197 323 61 2,294 7.1 11 3 71 12 130 It is hard comparing players/coaches to each other. Trying to compare Bo Nix/Chad Morris with Tajh Boyd/Chad Morris is silly. Auburn went 21-16 while Bo Nix is QB. Clemson went 38-15 while Boyd was QB. There are 100+ guys playing for a football team. By that logic, Kobe Bryant sucked 2005-06 and he had Phil Jackson for those seasons, the same as when he won titles. I have no doubt I am going to be screaming at Bo for making mistakes and shaking my head at to figuring out what he was thinking. I am definitely not thinking Bo will be our savior. My preference would be to let Ty or Jay play after the UGA game.
  2. The takes for each team is not consistent at all. It was written by a UCLA homer. Gold: The best-case scenario for every Pac-12 team in 2022 SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Can UCLA capitalize on its easy nonconference schedule? Will USC rebound? Jon Gold defines the ceiling for every Pac-12 team.
  3. For the second year in a row, Oregon's defense returns one of the elite players in the country. Kayvon Thibodeaux might be plying his trade in the NFL now, but Noah Sewell is back with the Ducks and piling up preseason all-America and awards watch list honors. Preseason Camp Preview: LB - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM Assessing how things stack up for the UO football program entering the start of preseason camp Aug. 5.
  4. I separated each conference into a top tier and 2nd tier football school. If you take the top tier of the Pac 12, Big 12 and ACC, it is on par with the B1G TEN and SEC. If you were able to pick and choose which schools for a merge between Pac 12, Big 12 and ACC, it would be deeper than both the SEC and B1G TEN. A 3rd conference could happen and it would be on par with both the SEC and B1G TEN, but it would be a nightmare for olympic sports. This is from what have you done for me lately. Records from 2010-2021. 5. Not all are on the offensive side of the ball. Which 5 Oregon players have breakout potential in 2022? WWW.REGISTERGUARD.COM With the season right around the corner, which Oregon Ducks players are poised for a big season this fall?
  6. What does all this tell us in the big picture? Oregon’s offense on paper looks good, but does have some troubling signs that make it somewhat sub-elite. For example, the Ducks had 57 more hits than the elite average, but the elite teams are scoring the same number of runs on fewer hits. If you love stats, this article has them. 7. “One thing about me is that I’ve always been hard on myself, and I’ve been a stickler,” he said. “They have articulated that they’re counting on us, but I’m counting on myself to make the plays and live up to the goals I have for myself. New York Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux anxious for padded practices GIANTSWIRE.USATODAY.COM New York Giants rookie edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux is counting the minutes until the pads go on during practice.
  8. It also brings money to the Pac 12.
  9. For the first time since 2017, somebody not named Verdell or Dye will lead Oregon in rushing this fall. Preseason Camp Preview: RB - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM Assessing how things stack up for the UO football program entering the start of preseason camp Aug. 5.
  10. In their preseason preview, our friends over at Collegefootballnews.com ranked the top 10 linebacker groups in the country and according to the site, the Oregon Ducks linebackers are among of the best in the nation. Oregon boasts one of the top linebacker groups in the country DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks are loaded at the linebacker position. Where do they stack up amongst the nation’s best, though?
  11. Have you ever met a person born in Texas? A good percentage of them are passionate Texas people. You add in sports and then it makes total sense about Texas and Texas A&M regardless of how good they have been. We also have to remember, we are not 18-22 year olds. We probably don't see 1/2 of what is put out there. This must have been a really recent poll because no way UNC makes it without all they hype they had before going into the 2021 season.
  12. Not much love for Oregon. Preseason Pac-12 Power Rankings: uncertainty at the bottom, clarity at the top SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Jon Gold and Derek Peterson go back and forth on how to order the Pac-12 heading into fall camp.
  13. Guess which Duck made the team? Rivals Preseason All-America Team: Defense OREGON.RIVALS.COM Bryan Bresee should be one of the top players on a formidable Clemson defense.
  14. I hope our OL coach knows what he is doing. I was not impressed with our OL last year. Hopefully, it was the scheme and not the players.
  15. Taking a reduced share at first makes sense. However, if they try to make it permanent, how do they justify it when Oregon has bigger TV ratings than half of the full share membership? Why should schools not pulling their weight keep receiving full share? It would have to be done very carefully. I still think football and basketball could make their own divisions, but then the rest of sports divide by region. There is next to no positive revenue in any other sports, so you don't lose anything by keeping teams regional.
  16. Another website with similar information in a slightly different format. Oregon Football Updates Roster Ahead of Fall Camp WWW.YARDBARKER.COM On Tuesday, Oregon Football released new updates to their 2022 roster ahead of fall camp, which is set to begin next week in Eugene. Here are some of the
  17. Why would the top 10 teams go for that? Manning isn't going to play for Kansas football. I do like some of the ideas though. Tie in graduation and staying at the same school for incentives.
  18. I admit I dislike Notre Dame with a passion. How is a single school worth 75 million a year? I don't think any other school could go out on their own and ask for that type of money. I get how they try to value schools by location with high population, but Notre Dame TV numbers don't add up. Especially, when it is only ND home games. NBC and CBS have had college football, so I'm curious why there isn't more from them in trying to get the Pac 12 or Big 12. Although, they do have NFL, so there is that.
  19. USC may have deserved the punishment, but the conference is supposed to be there to support their schools. Pac 12 didn't do that for USC, while other schools doing the same stuff had the backing of their conference. I'm not sure which way is correct.
  20. It would be sort of funny if UCLA/USC always played night games in all sports.
  21. All college Ranking: College Football Preseason Wide Receiver, Tight End Unit Rankings 2022 COLLEGEFOOTBALLNEWS.COM College football unit rankings – the wide receivers and tight ends. Ranking the top 10 overall, and then ranking each conference’s situations. There is an option to see what order the Pac 12 schools are ranked, however they don't break the school down. Only the top 10 give any information.

  23. Um, ESPN is being a really bad negotiating partner. In 2011, the Pac 12 signed a 12 year deal for 225 mil per season. So, 18.75 mil per team. Sports has more than doubled in price, so even with the LA market gone, they are low balling the Pac 12 big time. Do we know if this TV deal is for 100% content or are we still relying on the Pac 12 network?
  24. Remember even though it is football focused, they need to think about all sports. As a whole sporting program UNLV > Boise St. I'm not sure the Pac 12 offers more than the Big 12 to BYU.
