I can't find anything about the Pac 12 exit fee. I don't believe even if given a long enough warning a team can just exit the Pac 12. If I remember correctly, it is something like 18 months and 25 mil exit fee at the cheapest.

Mario and Jimbo are very good recruiters/coaches, but I'm not sure money will buy them championships. I think Jimbo got lightning in a bottle in 2013 and 2014 and has been very good, but not great before and after. It is really hard to win a championship.

TCU and Baylor would have done absolutely nothing for the Pac 12. They have the same fan base as OSU as the lowest in the Pac 12 or lower. TTU and Oklahoma St. would have the 6th and 7th largest fan base in the Pac 12. A lot of people have repeatedly said expanding and taking some of the Big 12 was the way to go. The fan base size says the complete opposite. On average the Big 12, with the new alignment, will have half the average of the Pac 12. TV people are going to see that and they are going to have a terrible TV contract. Pac 12 dodged a bullet by not bringing on Big 12 teams.

Funny thing, the NFL finally learned to cap rookie salaries. They figured out, most don't earn them and were wasting money. This Jaden kid could be a Heisman trophy winner, but he ain't worth 9.5 mil per year in college. It is part of the land scape, but I have a feeling a ton of these deals are going to have buyers remorse. Plus, supposedly none of them are tied to the kid going to the school, so if the kid leaves he still gets paid. I'm assuming the companies are smart enough to make the contracts year by year, but who knows.
