This is from an ESPN Insider article. I don't know the rules for paid information, so I'll keep it to only Pac 12 schools. 8. USC Trojans ESPN 300 commits: 4 | Previous ranking: 9 Pac-12 rank: 1 of 12 Top offensive commit: QB Malachi Nelson (No. 2) Top defensive commit: CB Braxton Myers (No. 116) Lincoln Riley has assembled a small but talented offensive class so far. Two key in-state pickups who were planning to join Riley at Oklahoma flipped to their hometown school when Riley made the change. Nelson is the No. 2 QB in the class with a smooth release and the ability to make tough throws on the move. Makai Lemon is high school teammates with Nelson and has good hands and quickness. WR Zachariah Branch, out of Las Vegas, is one the fastest players in this class and can be an electrifying playmaker with the ball in his hands. The Trojans also added some defensive talent, namely Myers, a well-rounded and tough cornerback. 13. Oregon Ducks ESPN 300 commits: 5 | Previous ranking: 22 Pac-12 rank: 2 of 14 Top offensive commit: WR Ashton Cozart (No. 92) Top defensive commit: CB Cole Martin (No. 183) New head coach Dan Lanning led Georgia's championship defense last year but now focuses on trying to build a similar unit with the Ducks. ESPN 300 CB Martin is a good place to start, as he is a player with good feet and upside. Despite his strong defensive background, Lanning's first full class at Oregon is defined by promising offensive talent. The Ducks landed big targets for their passing attack in Cozart, who is long, fast and posted a laser-timed 4.45 40 at the Dallas Under Armour camp, and Jurrion Dickey, who had an MVP performance at the UC Report Elite Camp in Oakland this spring. Along with Kyler Kasper, all of them check in at 6-foot-2 or taller and can win contested matchups. 21. Colorado Buffaloes ESPN 300 commits: 0 | Previous ranking: 21 Pac-12 rank: 3 of 14 Top offensive commit: QB Ryan Staub (four stars) Top defensive commit: DE Kam Bizor (three stars) While USC works to reestablish itself as a dominant recruiting force in the Pac-12, Colorado is making some noise of its own on the recruiting trail, working to sign one of the top classes in the conference. They went into California to secure their QB in the four-star Staub, a passer with a quick release and gunslinger's swagger. Edward Schultz and Isaiah Hardge, a quick playmaker who can be dangerous in space, have the tools be develop into productive weapons. A nice get out of Philadelphia is massive and aggressive OL Naquill Betrand.

The deciding 5th match had the Duck golfer lose a stroke on 17 because she ran over Stanfords ball. Oops... Explaining the weird and rare rules violation in the final match of Stanford's NCAA Championship win over Oregon WWW.MSN.COM SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A rare and unfortunate rules violation occurred late in the final match of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship. While it didn't necessarily decide... Even if the Duck golfer halved the hole, the Ducks still lose, so it didn't change the outcome of the championship. However, how do you miss your opponents ball?

If DJ ends up going as a 1st round pick, I would assume our defense was top 10 in the nation. I would take that.

Could the SEC break From College Football Playoff?
Tandaian replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The whole come to our conference and play holds no water. Here is a list of P5 schools moving conferences during the 2011-2012 seasons. The only conference not to have a new school win a division in the 1st four years is the Pac 12. Missouri won the SEC East in year 2 and 3. Texas A&M with all Big 12 recruits gave Alabama their only loss of the season in 2012. Missouri performed the same their 1st 3 years in the SEC as the Big 12. Texas A&M actually performed better in the SEC than the Big 12. Does the SEC play good football absolutely, but trying to compare conferences is apples to oranges. They all have their own quirks. The records below don't give the whole story because nothing will, but it is the closest one can get with come play in our conference. It has been done and the SEC is on par with the rest of the P5 conferences. Year Missouri year Texas A&M year Colorado year Utah 2012 2-6 2012 6-2 2011 2-7 2011 4-5 2013 7-1 (1st) 2013 4-4 2012 1-8 2012 3-6 2014 7-1 (1st) 2014 3-5 2013 1-8 2013 2-7 2015 1-7 2015 4-4 2014 0-9 2014 5-4 Before 18-8 Before 16-10 Before 13-23 Before 33-6 After 17-9 After 20-6 After 8-29 After 18-19 year Nebraska Year W. Could the SEC break From College Football Playoff?
Tandaian replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Multiple options. One was breaking away and do their own thing. -
I find it odd, only John Canzano says the team must be sold. In 2019, Jody and the VP said the Seahawks weren't for sale. No idea if they were lying. It will be 4 years in October since Mr. Paul Allen passed away. If the trust called for a sale, my assumption is the sale would happen quickly. Not 4 years later, but I have no idea about billionaire trusts or billion dollar corporations getting sold after the owner's death. I will never give Canzano clicks, so maybe he explained how he came by the information and the exact phrasing of sale.

How they do golf for the championship is definitely unique to the NCAA. First four days, team score, then the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals are match play. Match play makes it interesting. You could have played the overall course with not as good of a score, but only need to win enough holes to actually win the match. The Oregon women have been playing great golf all season, so I like their chances.

What am I missing? Most of the country could care less if they wouldn't be part of the CFP. College is way more local than professional sports. Could the SEC stage its own college football playoff? It's all on the table at spring meetings WWW.ESPN.COM Would the SEC think about really shaking up the college football landscape with its own playoff? Greg Sankey addresses that and more ahead of the league's spring meetings next week. Texas 29.7 mil Florida 21.9 mil Georgia 10.8 mil Tennessee 7.0 mil Missouri 6.1 mil South Carolina 5.3 mil Alabama 4.9 mil Oklahoma 4.0 mil Arkansas 3.0 mil Mississippi 2.9 mil Total 95.6 mil US has 332 million people. Less than 1/3 of the population would have any type of rooting interest in the SEC. Do they really think the TV deals would be great if they broke off? The only reason why most people watch other conference games is to see what the competition is doing. If the SEC broke off, why would anybody from the ACC, Pac 12, Big 12 or B1G TEN care? I know I wouldn't care. I hardly watch any SEC as is.
