  1. Dyer being down or not, is probably the 3rd worst call in the game. It just happened to happen at the end of the game, to make it appear more pivotal.
  2. Autzen stadium is a private facility, pretty simple they can ask for people to be vaccinated. However, the lines going into Autzen will take that much longer to get in. 😞 As for vaccination being a personal decision, that really isn't correct either. Since vaccinations really started being distributed in the 1940s, the percentage of people being vaccinated in the US is well over 90%. In order for kids to go to public school, they must have most vaccinated shots. School districts do allow some exceptions, but not many. I work for a hospital (In the pathology department), so I received my first COVID Pfizer vaccination on Tuesday 1/5/21. My current experience: If you get the flu shot, the soreness was just a bit more, but lasted about the same length of 48 hours. I had no other side effects. Some coworkers had low energy for about 48 hours. Some got a headache for a few hours afterwards. Supposedly, the 2nd shot has shown to have more intense side effects. In my opinion, science doesn't have opinions, it has facts. However, since science is performed and reviewed by humans, the waters get muddied. In my opinion, getting the COVID vaccine was an easy decision. I understand the risk of potential unknown long term side effects, but we already know about 10% of COVID patients have long term debilitating side effects. I am willing to believe in the science and the unknown, over the danger of eventually getting COVID and its known side effects.
  3. So, the Pac-12 scheduling this year is a joke, but what the ACC and the SEC do every year isn't? Can't have it both ways. Granted, both conferences have teams take advantage of said joke schedules, but they still have joke schedules.
  4. One season doesn't make a trend. It is probably splitting hairs, but I don't see a failure to develop talent. It is more of the coaches needing to know how to use the talent they have. We heaped praise for 2019. Now all of a sudden they don't know what they are doing in 2020? I can't get on that train, yet. I agree Faoliu, Scott and Funa didn't perform as I would have hoped. I can get on the train of not developing talent, if our D is just as bad or worse next season.
  5. Andy is still a top candidate for the Boise St. job.
  6. I can't agree that the Ducks have failed to develop the talent on defense. In 2018 Ducks gave up 27.0 points and 390 yards per game. In 2019 it was 15.7 and 330 per game. Ducks lost their entire starting offensive line, starting QB 1 WR and 1 TE. On defense the Ducks lost 2 LBs and 3 guys in the secondary. That is losing 15 starters out of 22. The Ducks were only supposed to lose 11 starters. Those four starters who were supposed to come back were huge. Best O-lineman in college football in the last decade and what many considered the best secondary in the nation. We can't praise the Ducks defense for being great in 2019 and then all of a sudden say the coaches can't develop talent in 2020. I do think the next guy up needed to do better, but we playing 3 guys in secondary who were not expecting to get the majority of the play time before the season started. If our offense had 2 less 3 and outs per game our defense looks that much better. With our offense sputtering, it certainly hurt our defense numbers. As fans we can't be feathers in the wind, we need to put our feet down and stand against the wind sometimes. RBs since 2000 5* Jonathan Stewart, Thomas Tyner, Lache Seastrunk, De'Anthony Thomas 4* Royce Freeman, Byron Marshall, Dontae Williams, LeGarrette Blount, Jamal Elliott, Taj Griffin, Sean Dollars, Chris Harper, Seven McGee 3* Trey Benson
  7. I'm aware of Jordan Scott, Demmodore Lenoir, Nick Pickett and Hunter Kampmoyer Opted out before the season: Penei Sewell, Jevon Holland, Thomas Graham Jr and Brady Breeze.
  8. I think if the Ducks lose to Stanford by less than 10, I don't see a reason to drop them. Maybe, have Arkansas move ahead of them because they do play #8 Texas A&M, but if Texas A&M loses to a team ranked below them, I'd keep the Ducks ahead of them if they play a good game, but lose to Stanford. Ducks have more than enough talent to beat Stanford, so I don't think it is a given they lose to them.
  9. The Lady Ducks are much deeper and this season, but need to have somebody step up to be the closer on the team. When we needed buckets at the end of the game, it didn't really look like anybody really wanted the ball to take the shot. Granted, UCLA played great defense the last 60 seconds.
  10. I'm pretty sure Shough lost his starting job for the 2021 season. Oregon's offense looked better with Brown as QB. Shough has happy feet and appears to have no pocket awareness. I'd prefer for Tyler Thompson to win the starting QB position for 2021, but would settle for Brown. I'm not sure which Seniors will decide to come back, but I don't see Redd, Johnson III, Moore or Kampmoyer on offense getting drafted. Scott, Lenoir and Faoliu are probably gone on defense. I don't see any juniors leaving early. With as hard as it was to watch this season, I'm going to look on the bright side. We are the youngest football team in NCAA football. I know getting one year older doesn't always mean we get better the following year, but I have a feeling the team will be better next year. Watching the Fiesta bowl was like getting stabbed in the stomach. It was a slow death. The box score is wrong about how many turnovers the Ducks had. They had 5, not 4. I have no idea why the kickoff Hill didn't catch, doesn't count as a TO, because we absolutely lost a possession. Which makes the loss that more brutal. Even losing the TO battle 5-0, we only lost by 17. The Fiesta bowl game was there to win and the Ducks fumbled their way to a loss. Turnovers tend to be cyclical, so I don't expect Oregon to be 121st in TO margin next year.
  11. Voting is pretty much a self fulling prophecy even with the AP poll. ACC's ranked teams (AP) #2 Clemson, #4 ND, #14 UNC, #18 Miami, and #24 NC St. Clemson beat ND and two 6-5 teams. ND beat a depleted Clemson team, UNC and two 6-5 teams. UNC beat Miami and NC St and one 6-5 team. Miami beat NC St and one 6-5 team. Look at the mess the SEC was this year, when they actually had to play each other. Texas A&M beat FL and Auburn and that is it for teams with winning records.. Florida beat UGA and that is it. UGA beat Auburn. There are 7 G5 teams in the final AP poll. The average for the last 10 years is around 4. Lazy Larry isn't helping the Pac 12 by any means, but there is a ton of group think when it comes to rankings. I remember not too long ago, the BIG TEN was the laughing stock of P5 leagues. When USC was king under Pete, nobody said the Pac 12 was weak. Exactly, like the ACC isn't viewed as weak since Clemson has dominated that league. BIG 12, well really Oklahoma, is 0-4 in the playoffs. The financial gain is huge, but BIG 12 isn't any more relevant than the PAC 12 in regards to play on the field concerning the playoffs. How I would change the playoffs, is go to 8 teams. All P5 champs get an auto bid, the top G5 team gets and bid if the team is in the top 12 and/or a the team has 12 wins. In the last 10 years only 1 year a G5 team wouldn't be in the playoffs. Each league is only allowed 2 teams to make the playoffs. The committee is limited to 1 coach per league and must include a representative from all 10 FBS leagues. I know that is a dream, but if you don't shoot for the stars, you can't even get the moon.
