Posted 2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. LETS GET THIS GAME DAY THREAD STARTED. GO DUCKS!!Oregon football vs. Northwestern
2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. No Noah to start, Lamar gets the nod. NW playing stiff defense on the first series. Time for the D to do it's job.
1 hour ago1 hr No. D-line needs to wake up and realize they can't just coast today, confident they will!
1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. Pick by Boettcher! Beautiful misdirection by Stein and a pitch to Lamar for the TD.DUCKS 7-0
1 hour ago1 hr No. Just now, Dave23 said:Everyone needs another cup of coffee.Eh, I wasn't upset, I think it's extremely tough for a west coast team to play at 9:00, not surprised to see us start a little slow for our standards, even then it wasn't like Northwestern had an explosive play. Really nice drive after the int.

1 hour ago1 hr No. Think the coffee has finally started to "kicking". Now let's see if the D is now fully awake

1 hour ago1 hr No. It feels like I've only watched 2 minutes of football and 30 minutes of commercials...
1 hour ago1 hr No. Runningback rotation so far... Limar Harris (short yardage carry as a fullback) Hughes ... Hasn't carried yet but was on the field at the end of the first.Interesting...

1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. Give NW credit, they are blitzing just enough to disrupt the downfield passing game and then covering the outlet and screen reasonably well. More misdirection is the cure.
1 hour ago1 hr No. 1 minute ago, David Marsh said:And northwestern players standing around..Yeah that's true too, but that shouldn't matter if that's their game plan, Oregon just needs to take care of Oregon and play their game... Just as soon as they wake up 😀

1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. The NW DBs are playing pretty well, and Moore not really sharp on his longer throws up to now. Sappington hits the FG while the announcers are pointing out that he missed several in practice wide left due to the wind.OBD 10-0. This has all the looks of a grinder.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Whittington traveled, but was listed as questionable in pre-game.This game is typical Big Ten football. B1G may put up big offense non-conference, but the slog begins in the conference. That first drive by Northwestern was like watching Iowa with short runs on consecutive plays and bleed the clock. Keep the game close. Hope for opponent mistakes. Win it in the fourth quarter. All these B1G teams will have physical lines on offense and defense.

1 hour ago1 hr No. Still waiting for the O line to start road grading…They are not playing to their standard. Yet.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Seems like every year Oregon has a close game with an opponent they should beat handily... This must be that game. They also have a team that they lose to every year it seems so... Let's break the trend! Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Krsmqn
1 hour ago1 hr No. This is a letdown for sure. But a win is a win. Hope the Ducks play better against the Reser Rats next week.
59 minutes ago59 min Moderator No. They are missing Noah. O-line losing some blocking battles on the runs, but they are solid in pass pro. 1st half almost done in a little over an hour given the grind it out nature of this game.DL will have a little motivational work to do at the half
58 minutes ago58 min No. Wonder if Lanning has a wake up call planned for halftime? Run game/OL needs one still apparently! We keep running for nothing on first downs. (Not surprised this is a bigger challenge than pundits predicted between start time & first road game).
53 minutes ago53 min Moderator No. Yikes, DM took a head shot that vacated his helmet from his noggin'. Right back in after a TO, then laser shot to Sadiq for the TD!
51 minutes ago51 min No. Well not a whole lotta "fire" going on, but efficient and controlled so far. Hope to see a little more bang in the second half. Go Ducks!
47 minutes ago47 min No. Looks like Stein was told to put a blanket on the offense. Circa usu2 2024.He opened it up on that last drive just enough to show OBD can score anytime they want. Nothing to be alarmed about. This is a slow roll strategy against a team incapable of doing any harm. I like it. Sweet lullabies to put the audience to sleep. Keeping scouts wondering how lethal the playbook really is.

35 minutes ago35 min Administrator No. While Dante has missed a few passes, he has thrown a couple of extraordinarily accurate passes. This gives him fantastic confidence going forward, and this is as good as I had hoped to see from him early in the season. Mr. FishDuck

Kenyon is amazing & so fun to watch block, hurdle, & catch! He's much more Brock Bowers than he is Gronk. It's an extremely lazy comparison, and most likely because Gronk is a commentator on FOX now.
