D line is getting pushed around more than I would like.

Eh, I wasn't upset, I think it's extremely tough for a west coast team to play at 9:00, not surprised to see us start a little slow for our standards, even then it wasn't like Northwestern had an explosive play. Really nice drive after the int.

Give NW credit, they are blitzing just enough to disrupt the downfield passing game and then covering the outlet and screen reasonably well. More misdirection is the cure.

The NW DBs are playing pretty well, and Moore not really sharp on his longer throws up to now. Sappington hits the FG while the announcers are pointing out that he missed several in practice wide left due to the wind.

OBD 10-0. This has all the looks of a grinder.

Whittington traveled, but was listed as questionable in pre-game.

This game is typical Big Ten football. B1G may put up big offense non-conference, but the slog begins in the conference. That first drive by Northwestern was like watching Iowa with short runs on consecutive plays and bleed the clock. Keep the game close. Hope for opponent mistakes. Win it in the fourth quarter.

All these B1G teams will have physical lines on offense and defense.

Maybe we are thinking of a different play but I saw 0 Jordon Davison, lined up as the fullback, carry the ball in a 3rd and short for a first down.

Limar has been the featured back with Whittingham out.

Run game is struggling to get rolling. Those inside runs aren't going anywhere.

They are not playing to their standard. Yet.

Seems like every year Oregon has a close game with an opponent they should beat handily... This must be that game. They also have a team that they lose to every year it seems so... Let's break the trend!

This is a letdown for sure. But a win is a win. Hope the Ducks play better against the Reser Rats next week.

They are missing Noah. O-line losing some blocking battles on the runs, but they are solid in pass pro. 1st half almost done in a little over an hour given the grind it out nature of this game.

DL will have a little motivational work to do at the half

Wonder if Lanning has a wake up call planned for halftime? Run game/OL needs one still apparently! We keep running for nothing on first downs. (Not surprised this is a bigger challenge than pundits predicted between start time & first road game).

Looks like Stein was told to put a blanket on the offense. Circa usu2 2024.

He opened it up on that last drive just enough to show OBD can score anytime they want.

Nothing to be alarmed about. This is a slow roll strategy against a team incapable of doing any harm.

I like it. Sweet lullabies to put the audience to sleep. Keeping scouts wondering how lethal the playbook really is.

For real!

While Dante has missed a few passes, he has thrown a couple of extraordinarily accurate passes. This gives him fantastic confidence going forward, and this is as good as I had hoped to see from him early in the season.

He's much more Brock Bowers than he is Gronk. It's an extremely lazy comparison, and most likely because Gronk is a commentator on FOX now.
