Posted 19 hours ago19 hr Administrator No. This is from someone on another site..."I heard a really interesting clip from a Michigan State radio broadcast on 1080 The Fan in Portland this morning. They are NOT happy with Jonathan Smith in Lansing. Said he doesn’t recruit, not good with the portal, and doesn’t work with the donors/boosters. They actually called him a “Weirdo”. They also claimed that when Oregon State was left without a conference he felt he had to go and that he really didn’t want to leave Corvallis. Supposedly his agent strongly encouraged him.He has a $31 Million buyout and apparently, MSU is considering giving it to him.So “why not” Smith returning to Corvallis? He loved it there. OSU can’t get anyone better. Before you say “no way”, remember, Mike Riley left and was welcomed back. It could be a win-win for both parties." Mr. FishDuck
19 hours ago19 hr Moderator No. I'm not surprised. If the Beavs can come close to his salary at Michigan State, why not?MSU fans are not happy with him, seeing no year-to-year improvement in performance. The QB he brought with, Aiden Chiles, is in his 3rd season and making the same mistakes he did in his first two seasons. The defense is bad.If Indiana is fired up on Saturday at home, I think Sparty is in for a whipping. The other Beavers coaching candidate of note is Ed Ogeron. He gone?
18 hours ago18 hr Moderator No. Smith will need to stop at Goodwill on his way back into Corvalis and pick up the swag he left on his way out of town.
17 hours ago17 hr No. I think they make this happen. It will be harder for Smith to replicate his success at Oregon State with the bad conference though.
17 hours ago17 hr No. He won’t be beloved by the fans like he used to be, after he took the first train out of town when he had the chance…Many corn valley fans I know and work with feel he did them dirty and they don’t want him back. Ever. Under ANY circumstance. We shall see what Beavis is made of…
17 hours ago17 hr Moderator No. That would be an interesting homecoming. He did have his best years in Corvallis but like @Solar said, OSU's current status as a G5 program will make it much harder to succeed....then again his competition would also be of similar talent levels so maybe that comes out as a wash.

14 hours ago14 hr No. AIf there ever was a week to expect Indiana to come out and sleepwalk a bit, this would be it.Possibly the biggest regular season win in school history, distractions giving the head coach a huge raise, etc, etc. But I couldn't pull the trigger on that bet. With Childs being questionable and all the negative vibes surrounding their 3 game losing streak, I couldn't even recommend the -27.
5 hours ago5 hr Moderator No. I’m hearing Harsin, Ed O, and Vigen from Montana State. It doesn’t really matter who they get. Beavis is G6 now which means they’re a stepping stone to a P4 job.

1 hour ago1 hr Moderator No. Some choice quotes from Beavis believers themselves. That’s like taking back your ex after they cheated on you, moved in with the person they were cheating on you with then you taking them back after things didn’t work out with the other one.My Beaver gear would be at goodwill.“Id rather wake up With my head sewn to the carpet…..”
1 hour ago1 hr No. Stepping stone?i think not.Until Beavis begins some semblance of winning on a consistent basis, that job will be more like a milestone, around a a coaches neck... or maybe a curb stone to get stomped on.
