2 hours ago2 hr No. Now we gotta listen to all the idiots who are gonna say that Miami is the greatest team ever and they beat Ohio State. Blah blah blah. But we all know that Ohio State just did not come to play.

2 hours ago2 hr No. It's hard to beat Mami when good Carson Beck shows up and bad Carson Beck stays home.Nearly impossible with the bye week putting you in a fog for the first 25 minutes of the game.Miami won the trenches on both sides.Mario didn't screw up clock management either and seems to be letting the OC do his thing calling a really good game. They are the most dangerous team in the playoffs when they play to their ceiling like this.
2 hours ago2 hr No. As much as I hate Cristobal, he really had his team ready to play. They deservered the win
2 hours ago2 hr Author No. The PHYSICALITY just got props from the on field reporter... Probably made Mario's night.

It's hard to get a touchdown with 10 seconds left if they'd held Miami to one more play and a field goal. It's better odds to get a touchdown, inside kick and a field goal in a minute, but obviously still nearly impossible.
2 hours ago2 hr No. Ohio State fans! All together now sing your favorite chorus:WE DIDN'T LOSE! WE BEAT OURSELVES!!
2 hours ago2 hr No. Ohio St opened as a 9-1/2 to 10 pt favorite. It had dropped in the last few hours to 7-1/2 which was still the highest of the four CFP semi's.If Miami can get by Georgia/OleMiss, they will play for the championship in their home stadium. They would be tough in that scenario.

Nevermind Illinois and Iowa-two "mid level" B1G teams took out two mid level SEC teams
2 hours ago2 hr No. First sentence in Columbus newspaper column: Ohio State (12-2) was doomed by its slow start in a 24-14 loss to Miami on Dec. 31.The Buckeyes' first four drives against Miami (12-2) in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals resulted in three punts and a Keionte Scott interception run back for a touchdown. Then later added, bye teams are 0-5 in the CFP so far.My add...the Buckeyes scored a total of 3 TDs combined in their last 2 games vs Indiana/Miami. I believe Coach Day was calling the plays since O-coord Brian Hartline is headed to be head coach at USF.The 3 bye teams on Thursday are Tex Tech, Indiana and Georgia. Their coaches likely are using that 0-5 as motivational?
1 hour ago1 hr No. I really need Ole Miss to win tomorrow. Seeing Georgia, or Miami in the championship, is no win for me as a fan.
1 hour ago1 hr No. Well, OsucU fans will certainly complain how their team were disadvantaged by being off for 25 days and the rules need to be changed! They are of course the best team in the country..."The rules will need to be changed because everyone cheats against us!" Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by criticalduck

19 minutes ago19 min No. Pardon me for not reading all the comments (many I did read were insightful though). As I was reading pre-game comments on the Talk'n Dawgs site, many of the coach-types who hang out there started coming across like Miami would be the more physical team and ITO should be favored in this one. One guy even reached out advising me to get my butt to one of the local casinos and lay a healthy bet on the Canes. I should have listened. Their view (pre-game mind you) was that Miami would be a tougher match-up for the DAWGs than the Suckeyes. At this point I am just hoping that the Dawgs can be the first beat the jinx of having a bye, so as to earn the right of playing Miami in the semi-final next week. If that happens of course, it would indicate that OBD had taken care of Texas Tech and earned a semi-final berth. Go Ducks and Dawgs.
