As an IU fan, I enjoy interacting with fans of other teams on social media. Oregon fans have been so respectful and gracious. Oregon routinely has strong athletic teams but the fans are rarely braggadocious or rude. (OSU fans are quite the opposite).

If Indiana gets a win, I almost always get a congratulations from an Oregon fan, and that makes my day. Alabama fans just accuse IU of cheating.

I have also noticed that Oregon fans typically have a great breadth of sports knowledge. I respect that. OSU fans rarely, if ever, watch a game that doesn't involve their team. Alabama fans seem to watch only SEC games after they are highly inebriated. At least that is my experience in online discussions. No offense meant to fans of either team, if my statement does not apply.

So thank you, University of Oregon community! I, too, miss the PAC-12, because I live in Phoenix, AZ and am also an ASU fan. However, the B1G Ten Conference is made better because you guys are in it, with your cool yellow and green colors, unique duck mascot, and powerful athletic prowess. Oh, also, great academics. Gotta respect all that!

Good luck to your Hoosiers. First 16-0 team ever. First Heisman winner to go along with it. As a fellow transient living in the Phoenix area (San Tan Valley), but from an area filled with about ten other fanbases as loud as Ohio State(in the SEC). It did my heart good to see Alabama get taken down in the fashion they did. The SEC arrogance and delusion, need to die.

Now as a Florida fan, it would be great to see the U get dismantled in their own home stadium.

Best of luck to the Hoosiers tonight. When they talk to him at the end of the first half, I am waiting to hear Mario say "we need to be more physical out there, more physicality!"

I believe if Ole Miss had not played such a conservative defense, especially in the 4th quarter, they could have beaten Miami, too. Conversely, I believe Cig will have scouted, prepared, planned and additionally, make the necessary game time adjustments; which I expect will include having the defense consistently blitzing and exerting pressure on Beck. If they consistently pressure Beck, I am fairly certain he will crumble; and with all the resulting hurries, incomplete passes and turnovers, combined with a strong Mendoza-led offense, it will be a very lopsided victory for the Hoosiers.

A lot of us are rooting for your team, tonight. Go Hoosiers!

Coach Cig will absolutely make Mario look like … um …. well… like Mario.

One of the tv announcers mentioned that IU had the oldest team in college football ... averaging 24! WOW.

I have to say(especially after the thug Miami player was going after the Indiana player post game), that it's nice to see a team beat a team that thought they were really something special, the old fashioned way. Great coaching, a system that works, and good hard work and determination. The Heisman trophy winner, just icing on the cake!

In my brief, albeit cursory, search, I can find absolutely nothing supporting the claim that Indiana’s roster averages 24 years old. Maybe? There are a couple 25 year olds, or gasp, a 30 year old, but I find no evidence of that either.

Best part of the post game was seeing the smile on Cig's face (i think Mario's face might have cracked, had the U won), and the joyful celebration of all the Mendoza family.
