GameDay Thread of Pac-12 Championship Game: the MENTAL, Not the Physical Side Will Win

When will the pac-12 get professional referees.  Pass interference?  Pass interference?

Pac -12 referees consistently miss call games all season.  Unfair to all teams!

My Ducks are over for the season-the injuries plus all the coaching crap--makes for a lost game

Good Luck Utes in the Rose Bowl.

Four penalties on our DUCKS in the first quarter. This looks like too much fun.

Is Mario worth $7M?

Mario just can’t get our guys fired up, except Sewell

Put a pause on that contract extension for Mario until after this game.

The last time, and only time, that Oregon lost to the eventual N Champ was 2014, to Scooby and the rest of the Wildcats. I remember this game seeming worse than the 31-24 score indicates. But Oregon set things right, mauling the 'Cats, 51-13, in the Championship Game.

There was nothing vague about the L to the Utes and whether it will motivate or disintegrate Oregon's desire is what we'll find out.

What happened to Scooby?

so many penalties... 🤦‍♂️

This team as a whole just can't get it together against Utah. Too many mental lapses.

Dye has only touched the ball 4 times. Big mistake in my arrogant opinion.

Ducks seem awed and intimidated by the Utes.

AB’s throws and decision making has been atrocious, but these coaches have done nothing to prepare for this game.  Time to reevaluate and do some house cleaning.  These coaches aren’t earning their salaries.

My God!  What abysmal coaching!  Once again, team not ready to play.  And….no discipline!  Penalty after Penalty!  Team stops itself!  I know Mario’s mother is ill, but…..this is nothing new.  And, passing?  What do they do in practice?  Throw it 10 yards over the receivers head, and…..say that’s fine?  They never work to correct it?

Anthony Brown is up to his usual self again. On the pick six there was a wide open receiver running down field. Should be a tie game.

Who teaches technique to our defensive backs?  Too big of a cushion.  Every time Utah needs a first down they throw a slant for good yards.  Easiest throw in football!

c’mon boys!! let’s get some points on the board!!

Verone auditioning for a centerfield spot on the baseball team with that interception. 😁

The D wants to win this game. If the O wakes up, they will.

Your D is giving your O some chances Mario, Take Advantage of IT!

So I'm a liar....

I'm back

What are my screens?

Where are the routes that occupy the LBs so Brown can check down to his RB ( the only route he seems to like).

Why won't JM roll Brown, or give him boot action pass plays?

The formations JM set up for passes don't play to Brown's strengths at all.

This is a waste of the defensive effort.

This is the coaching I'm disappointed with

This offense is simply sad. Sad, sad, sad.

Why not put in TT?

It literally could not get much worse.

AB needs 5 so throws a 1 yd pass when someone was wide open 10 yds further down

Time to replace AB. Still checking it down, short of the sticks.

Oregon's offense, is painful to watch.

Well, I am ready to see Ty Thompson,

if MC puts TT in, we can be pretty sure MC is Miami-bound

AB, our Jekyll & Hyde quarterback, is having another of "those" games.

When he starts this way, he does not improve.

You keep your offense like this, there is NO WAY the Defense can keep air in the sails.  Heartbreaking.

Is this really worth 7 million dollars?

NO OFFENSE EQUALS NO WIN

This is 2021,  not 2001.

Go ducks.

If he is going to put this put this type of product on the field, do we care?

What did I tell you?

The only route Brown likes.  He missed the post patterns behind the LBs.

All he had to do was pump the short route and deliver to the post pattern.

JM needs to give Byron double pattern that allow Brown to choose the route that is open.

Double post, double out.

Or WR post, Slot out route combo.

Brown won't go through full progressions, of wait for routes to develop downfield.  That's his weaknesses. So simple combo route patterns are a solution.

Wise y, Brown has arm strength that is wasted because he isn't patient it confident enough to complete passes in Morehead's scheme.

In my humble opinion Brown is loosing this game for the team and second its Cristobal for leaving him in. The receivers are open, the plays are there. Yes there are mental mistakes however the team can turn things around the plays are made that are there to be made.

Hello Miami-"I need a job" MC

And Hill ( the safety) and the LBs are exactly who is exploit.

Utah is the first Team to show those CLEAR WEAKNESSES.

Defense is starting to get tired

Since the Ducks will be in the market for new OC, might as well pick up a new DC too.

Now that Utah has established the pass, here comes the running onslaught.

Opinion question: if the game continues like this, will AB get pulled?

The move from bend don't break to bend and break by DeRuyter has been an interesting strategy, without the 2 interceptions is would once again be 28 - 0 in the first half on the way to 35.

The offense is hopeless.

he should but he won’t

My GOD we got a hell of a front 6!  Nice going KT

Why does our offense keep checking down with a tight end wide open 20 yards down the field?

A win is more important than burning a red shirt.

You play the best players.   <---- PERIOD

You nailed the topic .... the offense has zero confidence. Brown is off AGAIN!
