Coach Lanning and Coach Dillingham have brought back the QB under center for a short yardage play. Wow! That is so much better than a pistol back 7 yards deep getting tackled for a 2 yard loss. So many options that a defense can't pack it in tight. In the formation shown they have to protect against a power sweep in either direction plus play action pass for instance. The Brand hadn't been established yet, but it was even louder than it was when Lloyd Carr and Michigan couldn't hear a thing on September 23, 2003. Yeah, USCjr was really hurting on defense, but we played pretty good.
