  3. Kirby has never lost to Bama twice in the same season.
  4. I agree. Dan Lanning can call any OC in the country and they will at least answer the phone and very, very few would turn down an offer of the position. We don't need continuity, we need excellence and an open mind to continually adapt the offense to our players' strengths. Drew has been Stein's eyes in the box, which is something I've been critical of. Maybe Stein is overruling him and he is too much of a yes man, or he isn't recognizing what is actually going on.
  5. At what point will Penn State realize that they will not get a better coach than Franklin? At this point, will they even find a coach that is as good as Franklin?
  6. USA Today's take on playoff penultimate rankings winners and losers. One winner: The English language, with more folks now understanding that 'penultimate' means 'next to last' and not 'beyond ultimate.' https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2025/12/02/cfp-rankings-release-winners-losers-james-madison-notre-dame/87575584007/?utm_source=usatoday-sports-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=us

  8. The only right decision about Miami/Notre Dame is keep them both out. Neither deserve it anyway.

  10. Absolutely no offense taken, and really it’s not a huge deal for me anyway. It is very disappointing to have lost Curtis, but there is likely a good reason he is staying home. Could be money, or family, or whatever. I do wish him well, at least until we play him. Seriously though, I’m fussing about nothing. Kirby has taken our recruiting to extreme heights, so I’ve got nothing to fuss about on that front. I trust him and our staff. I would say the same for Lanning. I was very disappointed to see him leave, but very happy to see him take the job in Eugene. You guys also have a great HC, and he seems to love coaching The Ducks!!! Hopefully we will beat Bama, but I’m certainly nervous about it! I do think we are the better team, but Bama has certainly had our number! I’m thinking that changes, but we will see.
  11. Personally, I don’t like the idea of promoting someone without more OC experience (1 year at Rutgers?). It’s too important a position to the future success of our football program to take a chance on someone. The OC position at Oregon is one of the most coveted in college football given our reputation, talent, resources and track record of prior OCs becoming HCs. We should be able to hire a top notch, experienced OC.
  12. Chris Henry Jr. did not formally submit his paperwork to Ohio State before the conclusion of their signing day press conference. Reports are that he is still considering Ohio State, Oregon and USC in light of Hartline’s departure and plans to sign today or tomorrow.
  13. Yep. He is done. Kinda fell off the radar for Oregon fans because of the mission, but he can be a game changer!

  17. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more conversation about ESPN College Football Gameday‘s choice to cover the SEC championship game over the B1G championship game featuring #1 vs #2 and the only 2 undefeated teams remaining. Every single day, ESPN’s bias shows more and more. What is the over/under for the number of minutes they spend talking about how Bama deserves to be in the playoff despite the result of the SEC championship game? What about Texas and Vandy?
  18. Don't Worry, B1G Happy 😁😁😁 AP NewsChampionship week: No CFP worries for Big Ten with No. 1...The Big Ten will be the only conference with a sense of calm this weekend with No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana squaring off in its championship game.
  19. No offense to our Dawg friends, as a lot of us root for ya’ll when our teams aren’t playing, but you won’t find a whole lot of sympathy here. Georgia still has the most talented roster in college football and I’m sure you’ll reload with a top, experienced, battle tested transfer portal QB. Now go beat the #%&@ out of Bama! I want to see the politicking kick into high gear down south come Saturday evening. LOL.

  21. Vanderbilt is RiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCH!!!!! One should expect them to be upper echelon for the foreseeable future. This Industry is getting flattened out just like the NFL. We may see a few teams at the top in blocks of 2-3 years but it’s going to be anybody in the top 15 can win it all. We might be there already.

  23. Drew Mehringer under consideration for promotion to Oregon offensive coordinator Oregon tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer is the internal candidate to watch to replace Will Stein as offensive coordinator, per reports.
  24. I mis-read the Tweet. He is signing Thursday.
  25. It took me a minute to figure out what this chart is trying to do. The colors make it a bit confusing. If the team averaged 310, 309, and 308 yards rushing in three consecutive season, one would be good, one would be so-so, and one would be bad. 300+ yards rushing is just good in all three years. Suggesting 310 would be a good year but 307 bad seems silly (as does highlighting dropping from 310 to 307 as significantly notable). I'd enjoy a chart with the same data that used generally accepted averages of good, average, and poor in each category and used colors to see how the offenses has done under Stein against those.
