  2. The Cal QB is one of the accurate I’ve ever seen, let alone as a freshman. But he is SLOW on foot, and that can hurt us on big plays.
  3. Sagapotule is an instant Heisman contender to whichever top tier program he goes to, and that top tier program is instantly a national contender. He came to Oregon before which should make us the leading contender for his services when he bails from Cal. But Moore would have to leave and Will Stein will have to stay, and who knows how good Akili Smith JR might be and they are the same class. So a lot of reasons why it wouldn't be us.
  4. Well, it’s quite possible to upgrade the defensive coordinator, and I’m sure there are some great ones out there externally, as well as internally that Lanning will look at, but our defensive line recruiting will absolutely be affected by the loss of Tosh. He was a fantastic recruiter, and has sent a lot of guys to the NFL from the defensive line at all the different places he has coached. Gains and losses…
  5. I would immediately make Hampton the interim DC (as a trial period), while you go through the search process, and let Tosh leave to focus on his new program.
  6. That cancer surgery can be traumatic in so many ways. Thankfully, I have avoided back complications, and hope it stays that way. Enjoy a healthy season!
  7. I am grateful for our Oregon DUCKS! I am grateful for the OBD Forum, Mr. FishDuck and all the Moderators. I am grateful for my family which are all healthy for Thanksgiving. GO DUCKS!
  8. For me, the ray of sunlight in an otherwise overcast era was the 1980 game in Seattle when Reggie Ogburn led us to a 31-10 upset of the 13th ranked Huskies.

  10. If Tosh leaves, I'd be just fine with Hampton being promoted to DC with a new LB coach being brought in.
  11. It looks like Tosh is expected to be hired by Cal. https://www.newsweek.com/sports/ncaa/tosh-lupoid-expected-california-oregon-college-football-11109087
  12. Increased hand wringing in Seattle
  13. Everything except the shoes. Which really doesn’t matter since the Huskies won’t have time to notice them anyway as they’re running by.
  14. If I recall correctly, that game wasnt on TV. I listened on the radio. Dinosaur days.
  15. As we are giving thanks, I wish to convey my extreme gratitude to all the volunteers who make this forum work so well. And for the tons of "polite and respectful" OBD members who post, start threads, and are so reasonable with differing opinions. (Strong opinions are encouraged!) The majority out there do NOT want civility, but this community cherishes it, and I am so thankful for all of you.

  19. JS was 7-17 his first two years at Beavis in what I would say was a more favorable situation (at that time), then he faces now. Beavis went 4-5 in conference his second year which was apparently good enough for 2nd place in the north. He was 34-35 overall at Beavis, and a not so great 24-31 if you throw out the one year they won the Vegas Bowl. Before the vacated wins, he was at 8-15 to date in year 2 at MSU. Pattern? Beavis really tried to pump themselves up as a big time program (as one would expect) as the conference crumbled, but it really was the same pattern of the last 30 years. One legitimate PAC contending team every 10 years or so. Not exactly great numbers.
  20. Lest we forget, husky fans have no memory of anything except wins and MYTHICAL National Championships.
  21. 54 Million reasons to be thankful. I doubt BK will share any of this with the AD who fired him. 😁 The 'cause'? "You didn't win a Natty! Even Eddie O and Les, who, fortunately, is now Miles away, won a Natty here! Get lost!" He's not without baggage, but if you want to play for a Natty Penn State? AP NewsLSU confirms Kelly was fired 'without cause' and is owed...Former LSU coach Brian Kelly has received a letter from LSU confirming that he was fired without cause and is owed his full $54 million buyout.
  22. My Forum Friends, may you and yours have a blessed and bountiful Thanksgiving. ❤️❤️❤️ Charles has given us a terrific place to Quack, and without having to Duck for cover. 😁 (And I thank those of you who can suffer through my run-on posts and comments without falling asleep. 😴)

  24. Sorry, as a lifelong Niners fan, “The Catch” was already taken.
  25. I agree with you. Oregon’s Kelly Green and yellow uniforms really pop on the ESPN College Gameday intro. and that color combination is really unique in college football (like the Green Bay Packers). Wish they would use the black more sparingly (once a year).
  26. To put a ribbon on the U$C beatdown, this is the sheet that DL waved at the pregame team meeting in Ducks vs Them when he stated that Trojenz lived in the past and that Leinert and Bush weren't playing anymore. Part of the front page of a (not kidding) 105 page book of rosters, past games, media blasts and the unabridged history of the derring-do of the Boys of Troy. Duck Hunting Season indeed....
