  2. Everything Dante Moore said after Oregon's end-of-game rally over Iowa Oregon quarterback Dante Moore spoke after the Ducks beat Iowa 18-16 on Saturday night in Iowa City. Here's a full transcript from that interview.
  3. Get to the 7 min mark in the unafraid show and he says that the officiating was atrocious.
  4. Everything Oregon coach Dan Lanning said after thrilling 18-16 win at Iowa The Oregon Ducks used a game-winning field goal in the final seconds to win 18-16 at No. 20 Iowa. See what Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said after the victory.
  5. I’m actually more worried about playing Minnesota than USuC or Fuskies. OBD is on short rest and they don’t know the Gophers like they do the other two teams. USuC is athletic, but a healthy Duck team can exploit their defense. The Fuskies showed their vulnerabilities against Wisconsin tonight, but I also think the Badgers are gaining confidence knowing that Fickell is coming back next season.
  6. What Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz Said About Oregon Ducks' Game-Winning DriveThe No. 9 Oregon Ducks defeated the No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes in a 18-16 in a game that came down to the final minute with a game-winning field goal. After the game, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz discussed Oregon's game-winning drive. Oregon Ducks On SIWhat Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz Said About Oregon Ducks' Gam...The No. 9 Oregon Ducks defeated the No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes in a close matchup, 18-16. The team had to win with all phases, and the Ducks were able to drive down t
  7. Oregon win in Kinnick downpour a tribute to running backs, offensive lineAutzen ZooOregon win in Kinnick downpour a tribute to running backs...The Ducks needed every play they made in Kinnick Stadium, starting with three pressure field goals by Oregon senior kicker Atticus Sappington.
  8. This is 2 rock fight BIG 10 game victories that OBD's have played in with heavy rain and wind. Todays game threw in some freezing rain for good measure. Proud of the team, especially the next man up. That just shows talented 2nd and 3rd team players ready to play and perform. This offense leaves points on the table and hopefully they can clean that up. The Defense keeps giving the Duck O great field position and would like to see the O put points on top. This was truly a BIG 10 November slugfest and OBD' did not flinch like the leg-lifters. The Duck O and Dante executed a less than 2 minute drive to WIN! Kiss the nearest tush Herbie, the Game Day loudmouth and Iowa beat writers. OBDF membera, since joining the conference the Ducks are 21-2. With losses to tOSU and IU, what more do we have to prove that we belong in the BIG? Go Ducks.....beat the gophers!
  9. What part didn’t you like? Me saying that injuries have depleted our offense or that Minnesota has a chance of beating us at home coming off a bye week when we’re on short rest? I’m sure the Fuskies thought that they would “be OK for Wisconsin” today.
  10. Our lack of a disruptive pass rush is a huge concern. Additionally, possibly because of the former, is the blown coverage when a pass play stretches out. We were hurt several times on passes to a wide open receiver. Assuming we make it into the playoffs we’re going to struggle against quality passing teams unless we can get to the qb and maintain assignments with our db’s. Though Moore wasn’t real sharp with passing today his pass to Benson was other-worldly. Props to the entire team for roughing out another close game!
  11. I'm very good at coming in second place, I must be a True Green and Yellow Duck! 🦆 Thanks @Charles Fischer for the fun entertainment and excellent discussion each game day!
  12. The only toughness left to display is in the clutch on third down. Our defense had a shot at keeping Iowa under ten points, and thirty points was begging the offense to score it. Anyone claiming OBD aren't' physical enough to handle elite teams is biased. The difference between OBD and the title contenders is their ability to convert third downs on offense when the chips are down, and stop teams on third down in the same situations on defense. The offense needs to start killing it when passing. Moore has got to be more consistent. It really boils down to him stepping up and taking over the game. He's shown he can win the close ones. We need to see him put teams out of contention. He is just off the mark too often. If he cleans that up, the defense will do it's part.
  13. The crazy thing is that we should have guys that can shoot from deep. Shelstad, Lin, and Simpkins all shot better than 35% from three last year. Lin and Shelstad were both above 40% on catch and shoot threes. Phillips was a fantastic shooter in high school. He was north of 37% from three and won a state player award his sophomore season. He made 124 threes his freshman annd sophomore seasons. Also, while playing in a 4 game tournament for his U17 team he scored almost 30 PPG and shot 62% from three. Dude can clearly shoot. Lindsey has the best percentage of all of them, shooting 42% from three his last year in JC. We have shooters. I am not sure what the problem is.
  14. I only saw bits and pieces of the the game. From what I saw, our offense is leaving full meals on their plate. What a waste of a dominant running game! QB Moore plays way better when the game is on the line. Night and Day difference. I realize OBD are down #s 1 and 2, but guys are open. I love Will Stein, and I want to see more simple routes (like the out route on the last drive) for Moore when he is struggling. Those screens are a waste of time in my opinion ( just run a RB screen instead). Stein can't exploit that dominant running game. I can't wait to see the entire game. I want to know how many TDs were missed. So far, against elite defenses, OBD are not scoring 20 points. If they can solve the passing conundrums, we're looking at an intriguing team.
  15. Hearing announcers question our "toughness" every week is like hearing the comments "catch by Tez Johnson, he's Bo's brother" each and every time, it's annoying. This game was won by our D-line and our O-line. Well done boys. Get home. Get some sleep and let's reload to crush them Gophers!
  16. Calling that two feet out of bounds two point conversion good was the worst call I've ever seen. Even in real time, he was clearly out of bounds.
  17. It's sort of a Love-Hate relationship.
  18. As you know, there were SO many doubts about "soft" and "finesse" Oregon joining the Big-10. I recall online pundits stating that "Oregon will not hold up to the physicality of the Big-10, especially when they play on the road in November." What is more classic Big-10 game than playing at Iowa in November in freezing rain? Oregon's physicality was demonstrated in the Penn State game, but it was showcased in this Iowa game. Down three great receivers and the Ducks have to run the ball....and the Hawkeyes know it? I think Oregon has shown B1G toughness, and just ask Washington how tough it is to play at Wisconsin...even when they are the bottom-dweller?

  20. I saw too many and I haven't sat down to study the film. They were also super generous with all the short yardage gains for a first down for Iowa. That fourth down pile didn't look like he made it... But they gave it.. And there was another tackle on a RB in there that he might have barely gotten the line to gain but they placed the ball an extra yard for him. Feels like we are certainly on the outside of the conference still.
  21. No... From what I've seen these injuries emerged from this last week of practice. Dak had a non-contact injury which sucks but they happen sometimes. Harley with a twisted ankle... They also happen not sure there's much a S&C coach can do to prevent that from happening. Sadiq apparently was begging to play today but from a health perspective they said no. He's been dinged up but from the sound of it he's played through it.
  22. No one should complain about that overall performance That was a great win. Overcame tough Iowa team , tough environment, terrible weather, lack of offensi starters and the freaking officiating 1 penalty the entire game for Iowa. how is that possible ?! Add the questionable calls against OBD and it’s amazing they prevailed
  23. Upon further review. 😍😍😍 Having re-watched the 4th Q and the Iowa FG kicker making a career-long 58-yard FG in the driving rain, OBD D players being mugged all game with 0 holding penalties called, the offense out-rushing smash-mouth Iowa, a stellar Ducks run D, stud starters on the bench, and more, lost in-game? No worries. OBD's FG kicker mans up in brutal conditions and under max pressure and seals the deal? I haven't watched this movie before. This is one of the guttiest wins I've ever seen in seven decades of watching CFB. One that comes close was the Rose Bowl in 1966, when DB Bob Stiles overcame two knockout punches and was knocked out for the third time when making a game-saving tackle in UCLA's huge upset over Michigan State. (Yes, younger fans, this was once the norm. The concussion protocol was a coach throwing a bucket of water in your face. 🤪) This is exactly the kind of game that Kirk Ferentz and Iowa do not lose in November. And the win at Penn State, as the Nits showed against the Hoosiers today, was not a nothing-burger win. PSU and Iowa were road games that the majority of the top 25 teams would have lost. And Dan and his assistants are doing this with 14 new starters and subs starting for the new starters? And diaper dandies on display? Remarkable. Sink the Row Boat - Grease the Gophers!
  24. When our QB passes right between the numbers of receivers who are replacing our injured starters, and the drop ends a drive, that is not the fault of the Quarterback. Without Dakorien and Sadiq, Dante was playing with one arm tied behind his back. OBD overcame some major hurdles to bring home the win. They deserve our praise!
  25. I expect us to look pretty good against Minnesota. USC and Washington are the games where I really have no idea what Oregon team is going to show up. USC can score but can't defend, and UW is decent at home, rivalry game, weather could be bad.
  26. No...you don't. (There is your track record of posts that I've noticed) But we'll be OK for Minnesota.
