How 'BOUT That Offensive Line?
This may be our year to win the Joe Moore Award, not to mention the Rimington award. BTW Pickard is still our #2 center, but he seems better this year.

Other Games GameDay Thread: Let’s Discuss!
So... If USF shocks Miami next week with a win, do we start to consider them a real playoff contender? Or do we already? It's conceivable that they could win out after next week and be in regardless of a loss to Miami. A win in the conference championship game vs Tulane/Memphis (or whoever is will be) could place them as a higher seed, yes? I'm not a bracketologist by any means, so perhaps one of you smart folks could explain that. Also, how awesome would it be if they beat Miami?? (unlikely)

Oklahoma State Post-Game Discussion
I meant what I said, Montana State is probably a better team than the next 3 teams on our schedule. Maybe not in talent, but on the whole, a better team. Maybe Cooper Perry deserves his own thread this week. Some of the statements made by Dan Lanning to date about him were so strong, they were difficult to take seriously, but Perry may be that good. One of those slot receivers that can get open at will, and never drops the ball, and has some wiggle after the catch. If you absolutely have to have 3-7 yards in 1 down, he's the guy to do it. The route tree has improved. It's doing a better job at intentionally winning the numbers game to get specific receivers open in specific areas of the field. I think Douglas has contributed to that. How about the double reverse flea flicker field side screen pass play? I've never seen that before, but it's brilliant. I wish we'd saved it for Penn State. The one thing we are missing on the DL line is a Jamari Cardwell type NT that can't be moved off the ball. I'm not sure our run defense is better this year. There times when the OSU OL were road grading us. I'm sure there were some schematic reasons for those plays, but I'm nervous about the Penn State and Miami's of the world. At least our DL sees something similar in practice every day.

Yes, how about those Ducks! Best quote from Lanning, "I told our team right before the game, it never requires extra motivation for an opportunity to go out and kick butt but it never hurts when someone pours gasoline on the fire." Autzen ZooHow about those Ducks! There's a growing feeling among Duck fans that this could be a special season.

Was Skattebo for Dillingham as Penix was for DeBoer?

Oklahoma State Post-Game Discussion
Their Clemson win is looking less good as Clemson barely edged pass Troy. I have a feeling that BOTH teams were overrated in that game. We'll have to wait and find out.

Moga is the No. 2 Quarterback....MOGA?
That's kinda what I thought at first. I just thought they were putting Moga in first and Novosad would get some reps later. I was surprised to not see Novosad at all. Thomas getting some reps with the 3s and 4 made sense. I wouldn't want my backup to take a hit like Thomas did. No offense to Thomas. But Thomas as a walk on has also earned some reps with his hard work and the last couple series of a blow out is absolutely the time to do it. Northwestern and Oregon State are up next. The backups will certainly get playing time in both of those so we'll have to wait and see who gets those reps.

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
For football Boise State is intriguing but there are two problems that has kept them out of a power conference all these years. Market share - we have all learned too much about media markets with realignment that's for sure. And Boise State is just a really small market. Probably OSU and WSU have better market shares than BSU but BSU is a much better football school. Academics - this one seems silly but some of the Power conferences do still care about the academic side of things. The academics are BSU is what really kept them out of the Pac-12. Boise State will be putting a whole lot of these new pac-12 trophies in their cabinet which will probably anger the only two real pac-12 members..

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
It's like a very poor Elvis or Michael Jackson impersonater. Just let the PAC name go off into the sunset. It's just dragging the once "Conference of champions" through the mud. It's like they think keeping the name will elevate programs, but it's the programs that elevate the conference. It would be like if the ACC loses Clemson, North Carolina, FSU, Virginia and Miami and replace them with Memphis, Coastal Carolina, USF, Tulane and UCONN but keeps the name ACC. Even that would be better because they would at least keep some recognizable names like Duke, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech, Louisville, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Boston College. Who thought of Washington State and Oregon State when you spoke of the PAC Twelve? Who thinks anybody in that new iteration of the PAC outside of Boise State would be coveted by the P4?

Oklahoma State Post-Game Discussion
Ducks looked sharp executing today, BUT...they were playing one of the very worst teams among the P4 conferences, one that did not execute and looked, quite frankly, pitiful. Gundy is gone I fear, possibly before the end of the season. It is time. Meanwhile, the competition ramps up soon with PSU looming. Go Ducks!

Oklahoma State Post-Game Discussion
I had serious doubts their offense would perform given that they lost their starting QB and the backup just basically got thrown in the deep end this week against a top 10 team. Conjures up old memories of poor Braxton Burmeister.

How 'BOUT That Offensive Line?
I was glad to see Pregnon back in the line up, his knee getting rolled on last game looked worse than it was apparently. After last season's start I'm a little paranoid about the health and depth of the interior OL nowadays 😝

Holy Smokes Batman!!! Gundy hasn't looked that bad since he decided to sport a mullet in the 2010's. That's a P4 program and you made them look like they were on restriction. I know LSU has a better win right now with a road win over Clemson, but I'd seriously consider moving Oregon ahead of them. At the very least I'd move them ahead of Penn State. Congrats on the win. Unfortunately not every ranked team could take care of business this week. Oregon is crushing a P4 team while Florida can't even beat a G5 school.

Yep, everybody can't wait to watch the games of the "New-World" Pac-12....

That was Harkey, and I thought the word on him was that he was a good run-blocker, but did not have quick feet for pass-protection.

Yikes. WAZZU stadium looks 1/2 full for a conference game.

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
Seriously, there’s nothing to suggest they won’t be middle of the PAC if that conference sticks around. The one advantage they used to have over their new conference teams was their association with the real PAC. In the new PAC they’re just some wannabe trying to recruit against teams located in better recruiting markets.

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
Maybe they can invite Oklahoma State to join the Pathetic Association of State colleges?

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
Things going from bad to worse.... Oregon State falls to Fresno and WSU is struggling against San Diego! They are bottom feeders in their new conference! A conference they opted to build while destroying another.

Saving Austin tell league play starts. Moga is auditioning that teams will become familiar with his play....

How 'BOUT That Offensive Line?
Just got home from the he game and haven’t seen replays but on I think the last twenty something yard TD run, I saw a lineman blasting his man back through the end zone while leading the runner. I could only think wowza! Yes this OL looks special.

Sadiq's blocking was outstanding, from the first Whittington TD on. It's a beautiful thing to watch. If they continue to block for each other like this, we will have a special season.

Wrong Again, Only This Time...By a Mile
My thinking was the same....happy to be wrong. Football is a meritocracy....thankfully.
