  2. Oregon Ducks using runner-up finish in Joe Moore Award as motivation
  3. His son Cole is in the portal, but he already quit the Sun Devils once already.
  4. Lone Loss Sparked Dante Moore and Oregon Toward College Football Playoff Run A loss changed Dante Moore's mindset and fueled Oregon's run to the College Football Playoff. Frustrated by an uneven performance against top-ranked Indiana in October, Moore vowed not to put enormous pressure on himself again and he's been stellar ever since. "I made that game bigger than what it was, had a lot of emotions that game, some of my teammates saw it," Moore said. "I didn’t have that smile on my face. I didn’t have that joy. I was kind of too locked in, to be honest. But from that game on, I just learned how to adapt and just treat it like another day at practice to go out there, have fun, throw the ball, have confidence — if you make a mistake, cool, next play."
  5. May well be the post of the year.
  6. I wonder if our linebackers are up to the task? Anyone more knowledgeable that myself with thoughts on this?
  7. True they all lost. However, the seeding was much different and two of the bye teams were underdogs, ASU & Boise St, who should have been the 11th and 12th seeds. It definitely didn't help us, but neither did the coaching.
  8. It might not be a "slight edge". The portal window is limited and in order to have the best chance at the best fit, sooner than later is probably better. Plus, it might be a hollow Natty for him in that he really didn't contribute other than maybe scout team reps during the year, mop ups and looking like a 3rd stringer.
  9. That's all I thought about when I read this news - Novasad will be another Shough when/if he finds the right team. He will also be in NFL. Too bad we don't have room for all these talents...
  10. I feel like this is the factor that's getting the most overlooked, considering the fate of the First-Round BYE teams last year.
  11. Today
  12. I don't like agreeing with (missing) Linc Riley, but ... ESPN.comRiley blames Notre Dame for ending USC rivalryUSC coach Lincoln Riley said Notre Dame failed to follow through on its pledge to play the Trojans "anytime, anywhere."
  13. Makes sense. I imagine a lot of the coaches at UCLA are leaving this off-season with the new HC coming in.
  14. Longtime DBs coach Demetrice Martin who coached the secondary at UCLA in 2025, is likely to reunite with Kenny Dillingham on the Sun Devils staff at ASU, per source. They'd coached together at Oregon. Martin was at Oregon during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
  15. The time zone difference isn't going to play a factor this game. Both teams will have plenty of time to acclimatize and both have played in the east coast time zone, Oregon has done it more. The bigger question is does TT suffer the round one bye slump?
  16. Interesting theories abound! I love the green and yellow, but can name plenty of games throughout time where we wore green and yellow and got completely boat raced. The changing uniforms are our trademark and have been for 25 years give or take. That’s us, I embrace it.
  17. We'll see what happens January 1st. I would agree with everything they said but who had the tougher competition throughout the year? Graded as the best D in the nation but was the offensive lines they faced one of the best in either the SEC or the B1G?
  18. That was a refreshing and genuinely balanced analysis. Both of them raised strong points, and it was difficult to find fault with either perspective. I would welcome a deeper, more comprehensive breakdown, particularly from sources that approach the topic without bias.
  19. The 'Loyal Opposition' has the B1G going 3-0 in quarterfinal games. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2025/12/29/quarterfinals-2025-2026-cfp-bold-predictions/87903887007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_cam
  20. Great analysis. I think one thing being over looked is the stage factor. This is OBD’s third NY6 bowl in a row under Lanning. TT will be facing all the grandeur that comes with that for the first time. Also, the Ducks have gone on the road to Michigan last year as well as the PSU white out this year. TT has had nothing comparable. Throw in the tooth and nail scrap with Indiana and the car wash rock fight at Iowa and I think the Ducks will be more battle tested and that will be the difference.
  21. Wheels up, Eugene: 9:51 a.m. PT Miami arrival sched: 5:53 p.m. ET – closer to Tamiami practice location two departures from Lubbock on Monday: 11:05 CT, arrive 3:05 ET, Ft. Lauderdale - closer to Boca Raton practice location 12:05 CT, arrive 4:06 ET, Ft. Lauderdale
  22. I just learned that there is a Sherwin-Williams paint color called "White Duck." I suggest white duck uniforms with true white lettering. Opponents would be unable to recognize our substitutions.
  23. Give the SEC some credit.... one of those wins was against the powerhouse Prairie View A&M.
  24. I dunno. I am still suspicious of Barney and the jury is out on Bill and the alien. 😂
  25. You just get the feeling like he's not even buying his own BS. I hope Oregon makes it competitive at least. I hope they win actually, but if they don't win, I hope they make it competitive just to shut these fools up. In that second video, I just wanted to scream at that guy and say, Oregon, their only loss was to the number one team in the nation, again. You guys lost to an 8-4 Arizona State.
  26. With Poncho staying and Austin entering the portal, it feels like a strong indicator that Dante has already made a decision to remain next season. That said, this is college football, and nothing is ever truly settled until it is. As for Austin, quarterback development is almost always about fit as much as raw talent. We have seen that firsthand with Bo, and with Dante. The right system, coaching staff, and locker room chemistry can unlock a level of performance that may not surface otherwise. The talent is clearly there; it is a matter of finding the right formula to bring it out. I wish Austin nothing but success wherever he lands. From a football perspective, it would be interesting to see him spend a year with Will Stein, especially in a situation where a highly touted quarterback could sit, learn, and benefit from someone with a few seasons of experienced mentorship. Of course, NIL realities change the calculus entirely. At the end of the day, money talks, and this is modern college football.
