  2. How is LSU still 13? They have failed to score 21 points against any FBS school so far this year. They have a loss, but probably should have two. Their offense is tragic.
  3. Btw, the whiteout really fires up the crowd. It would be like us doing "Shout" every quarter. The fact they haven't won more often is a reflection on their decisions to use this against best opponents. However they were on a current 6 game winning streak. Now they will need to start a new streak. 😁
  4. Ncaa rules state home teams wear darker uni unless visiting team ok's a change. An example from this year, Tulane wanted to wear an all-white uni against Northwestern at their home opener to remember hurricane Katrina. Northwestern proudly (and wrongly) declined.
  5. Oregon is No. 2 in the Coaches poll as well. I would LOVE to see this No. 1 and No. 2 remain this way until the end of the season. Can you imagine how seeing two Big-10 teams at the top of the polls grates on Paul Finebaum? Who is sucking lemons?
  6. Surprised a little by how well the D-line held up against the PSU rushing attack, but Bear Alexander had a coming out party. The rest of the interior was solid with good if not great LB play. DBs shut down the WRs for the most part and except for the TD by #8 against Theinemen and a couple of risky but successful heave it up throws by Allar, took away the easy routes and chunk plays. Surprised a bit, and thrilled, that Tosh's schemes nullified much of what PSU was trying to do. Nothing the offense did was surprising, but ecstatic that the Duck O-line spent almost three quarters either having their way or playing straight up against that good Penn St front seven.with few misfires as a result of the hostile crowd. And Dante's performance was all that and a bag of chips. I am less worried about what Indiana will bring into Autzen in two weeks than I was after that Illinois beatdown. They are good, but OBD's better. DL, TL, WS and staff will have two weeks to dissect apart how Illinois screwed the pooch and counter what Indiana was so successful at against them and Iowa. I think Mendoza will get rattled by a steady diet of Matayo and Tatum in his grill and Bear on a mission of mayhem up the middle.

  8. Five SEC teams in the top 10. I can feel ESPN’s collective giddiness.
  9. But... At least it should be direct seeding this year instead of last year's stupidity.
  10. Congratulations to the players, coaches, staff and fans. Special kudos to those whose clutch plays preserved the victory: Dante Moore, Gary Bryant, Dillon Thieneman. Tip of the hat also to the opponent, who mounted a gallant comeback, and whose QB deserves more recognition and fewer catcalls. However, I could not escape the feeling that the Ducks had the game under control and nearly let PSU steal a victory after the U of O had outplayed them for three quarters. Thieneman accepted blame for the long pass play. I could not tell on TV, but it looked from the angle provided that he was still playing closer to the line of scrimmage than was prudent at that point in the game. The penalty for unsportmanslike conduct was inexcusable. I thought at the time that it would cost us the game. DL attributed PSU's late success running the ball to Xs and Os. He knows better than I, but it looked to me as if Oregon's defenders were getting blocked because they were tired. EAse to say, that more sbustitutions ought to have been made early, because Oregon was struggling on offense, but perhaps DL ought to have substituted more in the first half. Yes, there is reason to hope, but Oregon needs to learn how to finish games.
  11. It's a long way to the finish line, but if the PO committee's final ranking on 12/7/25 mirrored the AP Poll, OBD's reward for finishing 2nd would be a 2nd round matchup vs. the winner of No. 11 Texas Tech at No. 6 Texas A&M in the COTTON BOWL in Dallas, Texas 🙃. Compare this with Miami playing the winner of No. 10 Alabama at No. 7 Penn State in the Orange Bowl in Miami. 🤬 For as long as this so-called 'Playoff' incorporates the 'NY6 Bowls,' a lower seeded team(s) will have more favorable 2nd round sites than one or more top-seeded opponents.

  13. Congrats @Krsmqn your prediction was incredible! And GO DUCKS!!!! Thank you @Charles Fischer & mods for all the work it takes to maintain the best site to discuss OBD!
  14. Makes sense to me, Miami was idle so it's only right to pass them with the best win of the week!
  15. Krsmqn...on the tiebreakers! Official Stats: Score: 30-24, Turnovers: 1, Sacks: 2, Passing: 248 FanGirlDuck: 31-24 (1 off), TOs 2, Sacks 3, (Tie on this TB), Passing: 272 Krsmqn: 31-24 (1 off), TOs 1, (Wins this TB) , Sacks 3, (Tie on this TB), Passing 240 (Wins this TB) Only ONE point off by both? Incredible, and it came down to the tiniest of tiebreakers. That was the most entrants of any week yet, and do come back and join the fun next week. Thanks to all who participated, and CONGRATS again to Krsmqn! We're Right There With You!
  16. It seemed like Penn State picked up more 3rd and long conversions than they should have.
  17. I'm picking Nits 😁when I ask the voters to explain how TOSU's seven-point win in Columbus versus the not-so Golden Arches is better than flying through a White Out and emerging with the W? 🤪!

  20. OBD could be living the dream this season in Eugene. Looks like the same nightmare in South Central, with Freddy Krueger disguised as Lincoln Riley. 😁 https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2025/09/28/usc-football-loss-illinois-achingly-familiar-story/86403446007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_c
  21. I've always preferred to just take it one game at a time. 😊
  22. ESPN playoff prediction post Week 5 has OBD as the No. 3 seed. After a bye (🤔), OBD would play the winner of No. 11 Tennessee at No. 6 Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl. Would OBD be better off with the 5-seed and a first-round game against the G6 representative? On3College Football Playoff Prediction: ESPN projects CFP To....
  23. I was surprised that targeting wasn’t called. I think DL will need to make sure this team knows that Cignetti wants to shove their faces in the dirt, and take their girlfriends.
  24. OBD have far too many roadblocks this year to be looking forward beyond the very next game. Yes, we just beat a good team in a hostile environment 2500 miles away, but I am old enough to remember the last time Indiana came to Eugene. Unbueno. I feel good about two games: Minnesota at home and Wisconsin in a bowl full of tie dye (hopefully everybody gets the wardrobe memo). Iowa and Rutgers are going to be nail biters I am afraid. Washington in Seattle? Pissed USC? Yes, we should win each one, but a mistake or two could doom each of these games for us easily. After watching the Ala/GA game yesterday I am NOT convinced we have level of physical ability. Yet.
  25. I don't know if it's safe to dream yet but I do know that Ducky Krueger his haunting seventeen other BIG dreamers right about now,
