Sean Stewart led Oregon (4-3) with a career-best 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and added seven rebounds and a pair of blocks. Kwame Evans Jr. scored 12 points, grabbed eight boards and blocked four shots, anchoring a second-half charge in which the Ducks shot 52 percent from the floor. Dezdrick Lindsay also recorded a new career high with 14 points. Oregon cut the Creighton lead quickly in the second half, starting on a 12-4 run and eventually closing to within five points. The Bluejays responded with solid offensive possessions that drained the clock and built their lead back to double digits. The Ducks were out of gas at that point and never got the spark back. How it happened: The Ducks were outmatched in the first half as Creighton shot 47 percent from the field and turned Oregon’s missed shots into 17 fast-break points before halftime. Oregon’s bench put up 56 points Thursday, outscoring Old Dominion’s entire team in an 84-46 win on the final day of the Hoopfest Women’s Challenge at Comerica Center. The Ducks (8-0) played their third game in five days, and with one more leg of an extended road trip at Auburn on Sunday, head coach Kelly Graves was able to lean on his deep bench with only one starter playing over 20 minutes. “I think we played a heck of a lot better than we did the other day,” Graves said. “It was nice we rested a lot of our starters and divvied out the minutes. So we should be pretty fresh going to Auburn, which is what we wanted. Our schedule amps up now.” UO’s bench combined to go 20-of-28 (71 percent) from the field, getting a game-high 18 points from Astera Tuhina and a career-high 15 from Ehis Etute.
