  1. Past hour
  2. That’s really surprising, he showed quite a bit of improvement this season from last. What would be hilarious is if Dante opted for the draft and he transferred to Eugene. The Fusky fans would lose their minds.
  3. Among several other players recently… On3Demond Williams makes stunning decision on future at Wash....
  4. The Davison update is an extreme bummer but I see two possible upsides. Maybe Lanning will be more inclined to just take the dang points and punt from midfield as gambles could be even more fatale. The offense may be forced to throw in some unpredictable alternatives that Indy won't be able to prepare for. I'm not happy about this. Just trying to look on the bright side of life.
  5. My guess is that as soon as these ridiculous window dates are resolved that every NIL contract will include the provision that you play every game. .. or what games you are required to play with this contract.
  6. How do NIL contracts not already cover the entirety of the season?
  7. Thank you for the ponder points! I too will put me prediction in the correct thread for it. Since we don’t have JD, the RB room will need to step it up in his absence. It will be imperative that DM has the time to hit our TE tandem over the middle for 6 and 8 yard gains early and often. That should soften the Hoosier run defense enough that we can rush for 150 yards or more. If that happens, DM can air it out to the WRs for 3 to 5 explosion plays. OBD needs to put together one of their best games in every aspect, O, D, ST, and coaching. If ALL Ducks (including coaching staff) play the game to OBD standard we have a chance to blow them out of the Peach Bowl. If not, we fans need to prepare for a long and uncomfortable day.
  8. Davison's loss is immeasurable in terms of hard running, pass protection, and perimeter blocking. Damn.
  9. I did not include the video, but in each case--Dante could have thrown to the space before the receiver gets there as he has done tons of times, and those plays were without defensive pressure. I can't show everything, but I have to show where the receivers were and how they could have been "thrown open" as Mike referred to above. Or we will disagree about what we see.
  10. Harris isn't on that report, maybe he was offered NIL money to play until were done
  11. And let's face it, the health of the RB room means diddly squat if the O-line loses in the trenches. That is where the game will be won.
  12. Today
  13. No word yet on who was at practice today for the RBs. Da'Juan Riggs was out for the Orange Bowl, so it's unlikely he'll be available Friday. That Harris was present yesterday, after declaring he would enter the portal, is encouraging. He may not have the burst of Davison but is a bruiser and even if he only plays in the Peach Bowl before officially hitting the portal, he helps the Ducks. Maybe we see an expanded role for Grace as a blocker or even a decoy who can carry the ball for short yardage. Ditto lining Sadiq up in the backfield or putting him in the slot and bringing him back in. We already know that Platt has practiced with the RBs, he carried the rock in HS and that he is 230 lbs with an 11.0 sec 100m. Ditto for Kamar Mothudi, who likely has a higher upside at 6'3" 240, track speed, and rushed for 1400 yds as a junior before concentrating his senior year on the LB position. Neither burn their redshirt with bowl appearances. There is no doubt that losing Davison will be a significant loss, but WS undoubtedly has schemed something up. I doubt there will be any full house 3-1 formations but there is a lot of talent to work with using one RB and a host of other position players. Hell's bells, go jumbo, give the rock to Boettcher, stick him on Pregnon's fanny and let 'er rip.
  14. Only Davison is a major loss at this point. If Whittington runs like he did against Iowa and Minnesota I don't have as many concerns. But he needs to run mean.
  15. Well at least in his presser today he said he went through his progressions too quick in the first game...and film shows exactly that
  16. Been an Oregon fan for a very long time and it's hard not to feel like we're snake-bit on stuff like this. But someone who knows better correct me if I'm wrong--but it's my understanding that Limar entering the portal doesn't mean he can't play (if he and the team want him to). Is that right?
  17. This sucks but seriously if Hill and Whittington can't get it done Davison wouldn't make that much of a difference. On the bright side Hill can now run between the tackles.
  18. And here I thought the forum didn't allow profanity!
  19. That's my take as well, but air raid doesn't work if we don't have running game. FWIW, Oregonian says Jay Harris participated n the Monday practice. So maybe he will play...
  20. Kenyon Sadiq Gets Candid About Dan Lanning's Message In PracticeOregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq revealed some of coach Dan Lanning's messaging to the team as the team prepares for the College Football Playoff amid the transfer portal opening. Oregon Ducks On SIKenyon Sadiq Gets Candid About Dan Lanning's Message In P...The opening of the transfer portal and injuries have come at a bad time for the Oregon Ducks with their National Championship hopes still alive. 21. It's interesting to read a lot of advice being given to a guy who, if he declares for the draft, is predicted to be the first or second pick. As hurried as Dante was in the first game, and being sacked six times, Tom Brady would not win many football games. It starts up front. The O-line no-showed in the first game vs. Indiana and against Texas Tech. If the O-line doesn't play better on Friday night, Indiana will be headed to Miami.
  22. Going to need an air-raid offense anyway.
  23. Thanks, I'll wait for Charles' prediction contest. Alex, do you have a response to the predictions different than yours?
  24. Is this the same Big Ten ref crew that called the first game Vs. Indiana, or the one that called no penalties on Iowa? I hope not.
  25. This. If he doesn't do his job looking down the field to who he should be throwing to, then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy to hold the ball too long and get sacked. Dante needs to maintain better eye discipline after getting punched in the face so to speak. He will someday, but if he doesn't do it Friday night, our season will be over regardless of how good the rest of the team plays.
  26. I think Dante will need to throw for 300 yards in this game and our receivers will need to go up and make plays downfield which they have done all year when called upon. 1 on 1 is all they need - even if covered. Max protect with two tight ends who then become check downs. Stein and Moore need to look for the home run first and let it rip! Otherwise, you'll never loosen up this defense. Keeping the secondary back a couple steps for a half second longer could open up an additional 2-3 yards per carry.
