  1. Anybody have access to the scholarship count? Thought I read somewhere that the Ducks are 6-8 scholarships over the limit. If so, more players are certainly leaving.
  2. Well, considering your youth, such errors are forgivable,
  3. Four-star DL Jericho Johnson breaks down commitment to Oregon 247SPORTS.COM Fairfield (Calif.) Armijo defensive lineman Jericho Johnson has announced his commitment to...
  4. Just watched his announcement, he’s coming to Eugene.
  5. Holy crap! That is a massive grudge of unknown origin being nursed there. Sounds like something personal happened to Fentress back in the day that he cannot get over. We'll never know, but a screed like that sure renders his takes on the Ducks irrelevant.
  6. Way to coach 'em up, Trojans!
  7. Hey, DAT used to go fishing.
  8. The dreaded pay wall. Too bad, because I love stories of poor management in any area, but tales of USC football dysfunction are especially gratifying. And, they still think they're the best and the brightest.
  9. Was he on anybody's radar? Certainly not mine. Former Indiana OL Matthew Bedford commits to transfer to Oregon Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks got a transfer commitment from former Indiana guard Matthew Bedford.
  10. Oregon Football: RB Jay Harris to transfer to Oregon Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Former Northwest Missouri State RB Jay Harris is expected to transfer to the Oregon Ducks, adding a big-time rusher to the...
  11. Wasn't this time of year in the quaint, placid past known as a "quiet period"?
  12. The BIG consists of Ohio State, Michigan and I can't even keep track of how many Mountain West teams. I mean, Purdue? Really?
  13. I just don't get all the controversy about this. To think that he was failed by Oregon is to assume he was a great, or potentially great, player who, for some reason no one can name, was denied a fair shot. Why would the coaches deliberately overlook a player who could improve the team? This happens all the time; players are overrated, don't live up to potential, can't produce when the spotlight shines, whatever. It's nasty, but that's what competition is all about.

  15. My favorite player, gone! Ya hardly get to know them, anymore. Good luck, Bucky!
  16. ProKick Australia is cranking them out. How ProKick Australia is flooding college football with skilled Australian punters WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Aferiat: ProKick Australia has cornered college punting market
  17. Beavers' kicker is heading into the portal. Might be worth a scholarship for his name alone. Oregon State kicker Atticus Sappington, 13 of 14 on field goal tries this season, enters NCAA transfer portal WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Sappington took over OSU's kicking job midway through the 2022 campaign when Everett Hayes had a leg injury
  18. Why not acknowledge where the money and power is these days, and have two big conferences, the Fox Conference and the ESPN Conference? Playoff seedings would be based on TV ratings, not won-lost records or the "eye test".
  19. Sports is not nice. It’s about winning and losing: games, roles, positions. If Thompson lost out in the eyes of the coaches who have been watching him for three years, that’s harsh, but part of the cruelty of sports. i truly wish him all the best somewhere else, and see zero evidence that he got shafted or was treated unfairly in Eugene.
  20. Great accomplishment! BTW: re the post headline, it's "Rimington" not "Remington".
  21. More scholarships for positions of greater need.
  22. Can we assume these portal entries come as no surprise to the coaches? Perhaps are even at the recommendation of the coaches? Or, can they come out of the blue?
