  1. Recruiting for QB is highly situational and sensitive. The current transfer QB crop looked pretty stark until John Mateer hit the portal yesterday, he'd be the only one I'd consider for OBD if DL and WS don't think Moore and co. aren't up to snuff yet. That being said, my preference is to give the guys in development pipeline a chance at some point. I'd like to see what Moore and Novasad can do on the field in significant playing time though I understand that when you're at such a high level of success the pressure to stay there is immense.
  2. If Isaiah World also signs then DL has found his two instant replacements for Connerly and Cornelius!
  3. I really like this signing. Johnson is a *big* TE at 6'5" and 265 lbs, so he should be able to help a lot on the blocking front. He's also shown he can catch the ball too and even better he has 3 years of eligibility.

  5. I'm not surprised. I mentioned in another post that it's relatively short and straight forward drive on the interstate to get from UT to Ohio State's campus. We're going to see a lot of orange in those stands at the shoe.
  6. Looking at his career stats, he has indeed passed less and ran much more his senior season compared to his junior and sophomore seasons. Maybe he's trying to establish himself as more of a dual threat QB.
  7. Could be the conditions of the game situation dictated it.
  8. Oh so am I, I'm just concerned about depth. I don't want one of the interior linemen going down and then everything getting scrambled again like at the beginning of the year.
  9. It sucks waiting so long to watch a game. But I know it's to Oregon's advantage to have such a long layoff, plenty of time to prep and get healthy. I'm hoping Marcus Harper will be ready to go by January 1st, I'd feel better about the OL once he's back.

  11. This is the bigger, rangey safety that DL has needed for a while now. No offense to Tysheem (who has performed admirably this season), we're at a disadvantage covering talented 6'5"+ TEs with a 5'10" safety. Penn St. and Michigan showed us that.
  12. Isn't the Orange Bowl in Florida somewhere? If so, Oregon fans would need to travel twice as far as Texas fans. Talk about skewing odds...I wish they would just make it a home game for the higher seed every year.
  13. Even better that he would be a multi-year player and not just a one and done!
  14. Yup, I've always thought the CFP should have expanded to either 8 or 16 teams. 12 was just a weird and awkward number to me.
  15. This. Every transition to a new QB takes time. Both Nix and Gabriel needed almost half a season in their first years before they got comfortable in the offense (and that's with 4-5 years already under their belts). If it's Moore or Novasad it may take longer given their youth and inexperience, that makes the Indiana and Penn St. games dangerous since they're in the 1st half of the season. Penn St is a road game in week 5 right before Oregon's first bye week so I might chalk up that one as the most likely loss in the schedule.
  16. Personally I hope he takes his time and waits it out for a better opportunity. He's been a decent RB coach so far but also his family connection to the Duncanville HS staff in Texas is a huge advantage. It's like having your dad as the HC at Mater Dei in Cali, a big advantage in recruiting. I'm not sure Dakorian Moore comes to Oregon if that weren't the case.
  17. Evidently there was also no cap on the number of tickets a person could buy, causing them to sell out even faster. Scalpers are probably having a heyday. Oregon Ducks Face Severe Backlash From Fans After Rose Bowl Ticket Fiasco - Athlon Sports
  18. Reports coming out that he's one of six finalists for the HC position at Sam Houston State. Oregon Ducks Coach Favored to Land New Job Ahead of College Football Playoff - Athlon Sports
  19. Third time’s the charm I suppose.
  20. If he has an ounce of patience he will, Akili too. Austin however might transfer out if Dante wins the job.
  21. Not to mention, Nashville is only 380 miles from Columbus and is almost a straight shot on the interstate to get there. I anticipate a LOT of orange at the game no matter the situation.
  22. That's interesting. I wonder how much patience he'll have for recruiting.
