Also our defensive line will be 1 of our strengths. Dorlis, Popo, DJ Johnson, Swinson, Ware/Hudson, Tamani, Rogers, Riley that's serious depth and talent. Yes they are 3* but all upperclassmen and experienced.

Hicks, Greene, Gardner, Bowers all came for official visits. Greene and Gardner look like best shots at this point. 5* Hicks would be a monster get, but he is crystal balled to aTM. Out of Texas so it'll be tough but we are in the running. Bowers is already committed to ATM so maybe if Hicks signs to ATM we can flip him or visa versa. Maybe Dad can pull off last minute miracle just like we did with Connelly.

I forgot to mention Jackson Powers Johnson. That means 8 not counting Connelly. -

We have crystal ball for 5 of this list of players right now. Moore, Banuelos, Noa, Pressley, Nichelson. -
Torres' Take: What Landing Dante Moore Would Mean for Oregon
Duck 1972 replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree. That's not why I posted the rankings. I was just trying to point out UW is doing a good job of recruiting. I think that will surprise some people in OBD family. I think we need 4 great teams every year in the Pac. That will help our national rep. The Ducks, USC, Utah and UW would be a nice start. Then a UCLA, Ariz, Oregon State, and Stanford could sneak in every once in a while. SC, Utah, or buttsniffers would drop out. We need UW to be good, just not that good which shouldn't be a problem. -
Where Are the Ducks In Study of Largest Fan Bases?

We have ties to Georgia now and I wish the friendly but fierce competition goes our way of course. Of course you dawgs could win this one but it's awfully hard to win 2 games against a good opponent in a season. Just ask Alabama and your selves of course. -
Pac-12 Expansion: Big-12 Teams for the Taking?
Duck 1972 replied to sad BIG12 fan's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't see why it hurts us to stay at 12 teams. If Riley gets USC back and our league has 4 to 5 teams that continually are good with 2 great teams (us and SC), win the majority of our ooc games, get in the PO and win our bowl games most of the time our reputation will go up. This will cause our TV rights to be wanted. More money to go around. These other schools don't help us any better than standing pat. -

Ouch! Ouch! Jon Wilner Throws Shade on Cristobal

The way I see it is by being offered 11M from Florida and turning them down it can't be said he was being paid to go to a particular school and that influenced where he went. -

To me the surprise is the fact that tOSU is higher than ND and you can take us and USC together and we still don't match them. -
I think it's extremely tough to be a DC (and their stats) on offensive guru teams. Think back to Alliotti under Chip.

Ranking Pac 12 Offensive Lineman for 2022

So it's us and OSU with 3 each. Wonder which OL is going to be best at end of the season. I think we have the best 7 in the league (and that's not counting Connelly). -
I rewatched the DL intro as HC last night and he stressed we will be a giving program as one of his primary benchmarks. Again it's what you do and not what you say you're gonna do. He's definitely walking the walk and installing that trait in his players. So inspiring to see. Go Ducks Fly High!

aTM had a similar injury bug like the Ducks last year. Don't think it's going to happen again. With the NIL talk he has bulletin board material to spare. I pick them to be very good this year, maybe not Alabama or Georgia good but getting there. -

Pac-12 Expansion: Big-12 Teams for the Taking?
Duck 1972 replied to sad BIG12 fan's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You don't play midday games in Houston unless they have an indoor stadium which I don't believe they have. Again climate would be a factor. We already have to play in so many different climates. Easier for them to adjust to us than we to them. -
Is Washington Becoming the Next 'Cal' in the Conference?
Duck 1972 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
All I know is they got commitments from 8 players this past week. 2 4* and 6 3*. That's not a bad haul. Just saying! -

I saw on an earlier post Ty was a 5* only on Rivals. They were the only ones who thought that highly of him and I believe they also said it would take time for him to develop. -

Pac-12 Expansion: Big-12 Teams for the Taking?
Duck 1972 replied to sad BIG12 fan's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I thought the distance would be a problem but as Kirkland pointed out it's not that drastic. Now the only problem I see is time zone? Being in the Central time zone those schools are all 2 hours ahead of us. That throws an unfair obstacle for us on the west coast playing away games. It's bad enough in ooc. -
Oregon Becomes Favorite to Land 4-Star LB After Official Visit
Duck 1972 replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Who I'm concerned about is USC. They have 3 5* already. I was hoping we would be at least on par with them in recruiting. We at least have to do that if we are going to maintain a hold on the conference. I know patience is called for but I thought we had even better recruiters than MC and they would produce even more top talent. With all of the advantages we have, I don't believe any other program has as many. I do believe we should be pulling in more 5* than we did in the past because of those advantages. We sure had them come for visits. I sure hope your right Mr. FishDuck. But until I see them commit I just don't know. Been down that path to many times. -
Unbelievable: T&F Coach Robert Johnson Fired

I'm sure The administration of sports medicine at the U of O know of what you cite. The key here is the emphasis of feeling. Thus the feeling of being shamed by the athletes. With that power it's almost impossible for an organization To function at top form.
