  1. I don't want us to be top NIL. To much chance for the recruits to be just for the money rather then the fit of coaches and team. Better chance of him being a team player and not a primadonna out for himself.
  2. The NIL seemed more important for Iaveccia and Rashada than Moore. He likes the fit rather than just for the $$$. Seems like a mature 17 yrs. I believe we got the better of the 3. Wasn't he the MVP of the show in Vegas? Go Ducks Fly High
  3. LSorry 1Duck1 we also need UW to kick a**. Then when we beat them it's better for us. We need all the remaining PAC to win games especially ooc. We can root for the PAC and still hate UW and uncivilized spoiled children. And destroy every one we play.
  4. Now we need the trenches. Come on DL Hicks, Greene, Gardner, OL McVay, Pulido, Banoelos, Aiken, and any of the other maulers. Uaigelelei, B Nichelson, Nemo Avery, B Purchase, a TE M Pemba. And J Wayne steal him back from Miami.
  5. Hopefully someone or somehow this can be stopped. Doesn't the US government control the airways and therefore the networks. The destruction of CFB will be a national tragedy. Isn't this breaking the monopolization or anti trust laws. All the state's will be affected. Then there's Title 9. Women's college sports will be obliterated except for the lucky few. And all the other non revenue sports. There's still time. We have 2 years before the gutting starts. We don't need CFB to become the Pros. We already have the NFL. Isn't it in their best interest for this super conference BS to not happen?
  6. Our radio announcer is the great Jerry Allen. He's been doing the games since I was young adult. His most famous call was "The Pick". Then in 2010, as the time wound down in the final game against "Little Brother" in that amazing undefeated season his call as his voice was breaking "Well Oregon fans, can you believe it, we're finally going to play in the National Championship." The hair on the back of my neck stood up. It was amazing and extremely touching. Our Autzen stadium game announcer is famous for the saying "It never rains in Autzen." Which is odd because everyone knows it rains a lot in Oregon. Also we have a tradition as the 3rd quarter is ending the whole stadium and players sing the song "Shout" from the movie Animal House. It really gets everyone going.
  7. It's about recruiting in SoCal and less travel and different climates by selecting SD St and Fresno State. No disrespect to any 1. If the PAC and acc are in TV talks why not do the same with the B12 Helps all 3 traditional amateur CFB against the greedy big money minors of Fox and the B1G; ESPN and SEC. And then market the hell out of the fight to the American people. If they do that I believe we will win or at least not lose.
  8. No they don't want us in the B1G. I wonder why. Go Ducks Fly High
  9. Then if we partner with the other 2 P5 leagues in just marketing to our fanbases and population centers for fan support to help us in the fight for traditional amateur CFB against the greedy big money minor leagues of Fox and the B1G; ESPN and SEC. It's a fight I believe we can win. So much better for all of college football and the other sports including women's it supports.
  10. I believe we have to get SD St and Fresno State in the PAC so we still have a recruiting footprint in SoCal otherwise I agree with your view.
  11. Why did you choose the bulldogs as a mascot? Ours is above. How many fans come to your spring game? I believe we had our second biggest this last spring at 45k. What's the city where you are located like? Eugene has a small town feel while being separated by an interstate from sister city Springfield. They sit in the southern foothills of the mid Cascade Mtn. range with the headwaters of the Willamette River that runs through the center of the city. We also have a second beautiful river, the McKenzie, which becomes the northern boundary of both cities. They are the 2nd largest city in the state. Which head coach put u on the map? And how long did he stay? The first I remember was Len Casanova in the 50's on his staff he had John McKay, John Robinson, Bruce Snyder, and Jerry Frei who became HC and had QB Dan Fouts and RB/WR Bobby Moore as his star players. Then we had a 30 yr drought until we got an Oregon State alum Rich Brooks. It took him 15 yrs to get us to our 2nd Rose Bowl. We then had a good coach Mike Bellotti for another 13 yrs. He brought in the coach who really put us on the map Chip Kelly. He changed CFB by bringing speed and no huddle to our offense. He went to 4 straight BCS games the only one to do that. But he left for the pros. He didn't like recruiting. Then we went on another downturn in 2015. In 2018 we hired Mario Cristoball who showed us we could recruit 4 and 5 star talent. That brings us to now. As a fanbase we are confident that Dan Lanning and his staff will bring us back our exciting offense with his dominating defense which you know quite well, to go on being in search of our 1st national title. See you in September. Go Ducks Fly High.
  12. Watching the spring game Cota reminded me of J Mahle than Schooner. I believe he will be the goto WR when we need a first down.
  13. The players and coaches determine who plays. If Winston were to beat out LaDuke it makes us a better team. That's what competition is and should determine it. Feelings shouldn't enter into it. Other than the rooting for the players we align with.
  14. To me it's not media market as much as it's the recruiting footprint of SD St and Fresno State. It keeps us in SoCal. We've done OK without all the money that the other leagues have had in the past and will do so in the future if we win. Our NIL will help us with some top recruits. The lifestyle of Eugene will help us with some top recruits. And just the fact there is more talent then just SEC and B1G teams can have. I just don't see it as a problem. I also believe we can increase eyeballs and viewers by marketing ourselves as the true amateur CFB that value tradition and scholar athletes vrs the minors for the pros of the big money driven super conferences. I believe Americans are looking for a change and this could be one of the opportunities. The PAC still has large markets i.e. Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, (San Diego and Las Vegas). We need to get those communities more involved. And I believe we can if we appeal to the fight against the tearing up of our beloved traditional amateur CFB by big money TV networks. What say you?
  15. I predict we will see the end of the decade before they are close to the B1G. title if then.
  16. I still like staying and adding SD St and Fresno State for the SoCal footprint and Nevada or UNLV for the Nevada footprint and because you need a fourth team take Boise State. We would have a recruiting base in both SoCal and NorCal the rest of the west and then sign with streaming service to get good TV DEAL.
  17. I believe Clemson is a sinch for SEC along with FSU or Miami
  18. Can't see Clemson joining they're a sinch for SEC along with FSU or Miami.
  19. Either way I don't know how this helps the Ducks. "What will be will be the futures not for us to see"
  20. I believe you stated the situation most succinctly. I don't believe I could add or subtract to your points. It's a choice of bad or worse. Like most of the choices I've had to make in my life.
  21. Win 1 title in over a decade and suddenly they are world beaters. Go figure. Also there aren't any other sites that are in a class with the "forum with decorum". Thanks for posting Baylor fan. Although we may disagree you and your thoughts are always welcome.
  22. To bad they made their bed now let them sleep in it . No PAC school should play them in anything from now on. That would stifle the poaching of schools in it's tracks.
