I actually agree with both Kirkland and Wrathis on this issue. As I see it We are living in the same but changing landscape of CFB, so both ideas hold weight.

When I moved to Houston TX it took me a year to be able to wear a pair of pants. It's like living in a sauna. Had to wear a coat in summer when I would visit back in Portland. I think it will seem like paradise ( which it is) to most.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. What a great position to be in where we have 3 quality QBs. I know it won't be to long though. Just can't imagine both Thompson and Butterfield staying with Oregon after fall camp.

Coach DL thinks he can be a force and one of the best in the country at his position. Now this could be coach speak, but my read on DL is he shoots straight. You add all the other players and our coaches there's no way we won't be possibly the best D In Duck history.

When having fun it means your playing loose and not thinking, just reacting. When you're not it's deflating and you're going to be a step slow.

His loss maybe the main reason we didn't do better in the 2014 natty. We couldn't load the box to stop Elliott. Hell we were the favorites to win it. Seems to be a recurring theme. The players we lose to injury, cost us dearly.

Distance is the biggest issue bar none. That's the reality, no matter how much I wish it wasn't. Mr. Marsh nailed it. It's the same for recruiting. I believe most talented kids want to play in front of family and friends, have the best chance of winning, and getting to the pros as well now of NIL money. I know that's how I would look at it. Oh and girls, that's probably up there as where I might want to play. These things may be insurmountable obstacles for the PAC 12 being able to compete with the rest of the country. Only the future knows.

Relationship with the coaches is an important part of the recruitment. That being said the portal makes it less important than it used to be. Look at the kids we get from other states. They are also leaving their home state's. Good luck to him wherever he goes. There are other TE to get. When do we start the countdown for the first dawg game?

What in the hell are people seeing in UW that I don't see. They lost a ton of players and depth through the portal, weren't that good last year, and had a coaching change that was more offensive than defensive. Guess that's why they are paid and I'm not.

Don't do what they think we're going to do. Have an innovated play list. Play hard, but loose, and fun. You got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Got to get pressure on the QB. If Flowe does stay healthy, the other LBs play like they're capable, the D line and D backfield does its part, they pick up the schemes of DL and Lupoi, it will be another record setting defense like last year at UGA. Mark my words; "They are Coming and Hells Coming With Them."

It's confusing, what else would you expect from the NCAA. The way I understand it is you still can't have more than 85 scholarships when the season starts. You're just not limited to signing more players in each class for a 2 year period. It is designed to give schools that ability to get to 85 since the portal devastated some rosters.
