I could have quoted many other sections, but this encapsulated it very well. No situation for this team so far has been too much for it, and as a rule, I'd rather have a coach go with his gut than by the book.

What is really promising about this team is just what they showed in the two games against USF. They can explode and win a blowout, but they are also capable of winning a small ball game.

Every time I watch Justin play for the Chargers and make the amazing throws that he does, and I hear all the announcers talk that he truly is one of the best QB's in the NFL, I'm just glad that his time at Oregon didn't hurt his NFL chances and that landing at the Chargers is as good as it was going to be for him and us. Two legendary, 1 in the HOF, the other destined to be there, played at Oregon and for the Chargers!

MaiTaiDuck inspired me with this in another topic, I definitely see it as an "unintended consequence" of the NIL payments that some players are getting. We did start to see it before with players deciding to forego the team's Bowl Game, stating clearly, they were doing so in their own self interest. Now, I can't write here that I am bothered by a player's self interest guiding his actions when it's my SELF Interest that is bothered with his decision not to play. But, it's going to be player vs player in the huddle now. Millions of dollars to the QB? The linemen are only getting $50,000. Is the LT going to bust his butt to protect the millionaire? It used to be the players all played for the name on the front of the jersey, not the on the back. Well, we've seen that eroding for a long time, and it's even worse now.
