Now it can be a 3 game series. As Sabrina told the interviewer after he said that she and the Liberty can now promise their fans that there will be a game at the Barclay Center, they might as well just win Game 2.

Georgia's Bruising Tight Ends, Oregon's Kryptonite?
30Duck replied to Pac10again's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
TE's have been a nightmare, I still wake up screaming, 'Gronk!' Stopping the TE should be a priority in the defense we're thinking Oregon will have this season. The TE is a check down and big play all in one. -
If You Have ANY Doubts about Lanning--See This
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
There have to be doubts about everything. Sandy Koufax was nervous before every game he pitched, but there's nervous like seeing a fin while you're taking a swim, and there are the nerves about Lanning starting his career at Oregon against the defending champ, his old school. Nerves are what makes sports fun, they're why we're counting down to Sep.3. Alabama has a different set of nerves going into seasons, and a ton of credit to Saban for keeping that going in Tuscaloosa. The "Royalty" up north don't have nerves, but denial does that. -
That would be okay at Riley's new house.

The End Zone Fade: Oregon Can Run It Now!
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Completely agree. It was so depressing seeing Stanford send out its giraffe and have the Oregon DB looking up at his neck. -
Really Good Analysis of Dana's New Verbals...Whew!
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What I'm really happy about is that as great as the recruiting is for 2023, 2022 Oregon Men's basketball looks great too. It was sad to see Oregon take its knee off Arizona's neck last season, but it looks like the Ducks could have the Wildcats, and the Bruins and the Trojans, gasping for air again!. -

Canzano: Pac-12 Scenarios, Marcus Mariota, Phil Knight vs. Jody Allen
30Duck replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I am anxiously waiting to hear about what Bill thinks about, "the conference of champions" going on minus his Bruins. He always sounded genuinely excited to be announcing a WSU at Cal game, is he actually speechless?- 1 reply

Just thinking the other day about who the vilest Husky was, and it didn't take very long, Jake is it. His finger wag will symbolize the utter classlessness of Huskies forever.

Report: Ducks Basketball Recruiting Bronny James
30Duck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I would love it if Bronny brought his talents to Oregon. -
When Chip was at Oregon the offense was the narrative, the defense was filler episodes, if you missed one it didn't really matter. The two units this season have equal billing, will truly complement each other. This is how Alabama, the-Ohio state, Clemson and Georgia won their Natty's. LSU was pretty much an Offensive show. Neither Dillingham or Lupoi is standing in the background, and thankfully, Lanning is fine with them getting the spotlight

Beware Kicking the Dawg: DeBoer Bites Back
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Perspective is important. I was just chatting with my Husky cousin about the "rivalry"? How Oregon has dominated the last 20 years; he brought up that if you took out that 12 game winning streak by Oregon it would be a lot closer. It's going to be interesting watching which team improves the most under their new coach, USC or UW. They don't play each other this season; UW doesn't play Utah either. They start with a home game against the Golden Flashes from Kent State, where Don James started, then PSU, Portland State, not Penn State, then the Spartans, while USC starts with Rice, Stanford, and DeBoer's old school, Fresno State. -
I agree, but I give DL credit for not saying something like, "There's a No.1 QB and he's it until his arm falls off." The idea that the QB could change is refreshing.

ESPN’s Football Power Index Predicts Ducks Games

Dawgs Focus on Dawgs, Claim Ducks Not in Focus...Yet
30Duck replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Please let this be so! I am Optimistic to the nth degree. Everything works out for the Ducks in this one, Georgia is the defending Champ, that puts the pressure directly on them, the collar will get tight around their necks. Of course, the Ducks want to win, so there will be pressure on Oregon. But I expect that Lanning is looking at this game the same way it came to oral reports in high school, best to get it done as quick as possible, game 1 is perfect for Oregon here. -
The Memories and So Sad: Olivia Newton-John Dies

I wouldn't have predicted it with all the hand wringing over Mari and Prevent Offense that it would be the defense that has me most excited about this season. Of course, I love seeing all the news coming out about Dillingham and explosive plays, but it is the defense, and "Guys are attacking" that I've been slurping since Lupoi got to Oregon!

Which Pac-12 Coaches Mean the Most to Their Teams
30Duck replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
OK, so you really thought we’d start with anyone else? No, there was absolutely no chance this article would start with any other coach. -
Hard to find Scully's Dodgers call of Bobby Thompson's home run in 1951, as it was eclipsed by Russ Hodges's, "The Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant! He did get to call all of Sany Koufax's great games, "3 and 2 to Harvey Kuenn" The "Voice of Beaver Nation", Mike Parker is very much in the Vin Scully mode. "
