  1. Definitely agree, and you mentioned it in a previous post. how does Bol make the list? Bittle should be there.
  2. The Commissioner's created their own Catch 22 with their format. They put a premium on winning conference championships, but also disincentivized winning the conference championship, for the B1G at least.
  3. I appreciate Colorado's "resistance" to Prime. He's not used to that.
  4. This is the problem. Ohio State is fine without even playing for the B1G Title.
  5. Notre Dame is part of the whitewashing that some are giving the CFP format now. "How can it be so bad, look at the blueblood Final Four?" Notre Dame getting the preferential treatment it does is proof that TV audience is driving college football.
  6. PG: Pritchard, Two really great years SG: Couisnard having him at $1 makes it hard not to have him SF: Brooks Him and Brooks were great in clutch time PF: Cook If this Cook was on the team now, it would be 17-0 C : Dante I agree with Spartan, how is Dante $1 here?
  7. It really sems the perfect Storm that OBD ran into in the Rose Bowl exaggerated how bad the offense, the defense, the special teams, the uniforms, were compared to the previous 13 games. If they had been as bad, half as bad as they were on Jan,1, Oregon wouldn't have been un-Win not undefeated. David Marsh's articles examined what we watched those 13 games and the offense wasn't what we were used to. The games, specifically against Wisconsin, was always enough. Ohio State was a lot better than any of the other teams Oregon played, and they lost, to Oregon and Michigan. Objectively, Oregon's gift, thanks to the CFP format, of not playing for 3 weeks, while osu2, got to work up to and toy with Tennessee before getting to play Oregon again, had a lot to do with how that game played out. Lanning is off to a great start, emphasis on start. He and Lapoi and Stein are still trying to get the hang of this elite stuff. They'll have a long appointment with "the Doctor" and be ready, and have the team ready to go for the Natty.
  8. Report: Deion Sanders 'met with resistance' after asking Colorado for more NIL resources amid NFL interest - On3 WWW.ON3.COM .
  9. There might not be specific stats. But, as the OL goes, so goes the offense. Joe Burrow and the 2019 Offense wouldn't have been elite if he was on his back, or just constantly hurried. OL's open the holes for RB's to run through.
  10. This seems very unlikely.
  11. “I chose Georgia Tech because on my visit there I felt like I’m at home and also I knew they could help me to make it to the league.” What led to his trust in Damon Stoudamire and the coaching staff? “They have been here from the beginning and they never gave up on me and I believe in them.” In his own words, what type of player is Georgia Tech getting in Sylla? “I love to play defense, blocks shots, and take some still shots. I like to get the ball in the post and push the ball (up the court) sometimes.”
  12. That LSU team was amazing to watch. That he transferred from osu2 made it more fun.
  13. Just checked this, in 2019, with Joe Burrow throwing to Justin Jefferson & Jamarr Chase, LSU averaged 401 yards passing per game, and 167 rushing yards per game. Oregon should do that next year!
  14. Not only the B1G Rankings. If Osu2 wins the Natty, 13-1 Oregon should be No.2. it's 1 loss being to the champ. Notre Dame would have 2 L's, to osu2 & N. Illinois. Penn State, L to osu2 & Oregon.
  15. That was a tremendous take, supported with easy to recognize stats, thanks! On the running game, we don't need stats presented to us, we all saw that it wasn't the running game, even the "Finesse" Oregon teams had, it definitely didn't keep opposing DC's up all night.

  17. The O in Oregon's offense did look different in 2024, "Prevent offense" did seem to be the plan, but with an extended season to deal with being a reasonable explanation; that and the difference the Portland State game made. The running game wasn't slowed down, like the passing game design, but the offense definitely didn't look like the Oregon offense we had grown accustomed to. Gabriel's lack of height probably was a part of this. Won't be an issue with Moore, and hopefully he and Dakorien will give us more of what we're used to, and maybe some more explosive plays from the RB's. There is still room to critique a 13-1 team, if there weren't, it would be 16-0.
  18. The rumors of my death have been exaggerated- Mark Twain Who knew that would come back and apply to the SEC football factory. I'm not saying that that the SEC is dead. But I believe the dominance it held for more than a decade is gone. The SEC is having a hard time accepting that, going to extremes I think, to say nothing has changed. But, the NIL Transfer Portal, expanded Playoff is a tide that even Alabama can't roll over. The B1G isn't going anywhere. The SEC is probably better 9th place down, which means they might sweep the PopTart Bowl for the next decade. A non SEC team is going to win the championship, and it's more likely than it has been for a long time, that will be the case next year.
  19. Especially if before the rematch, Buster took 3 weeks off, and Tyson had a warm- up.
  20. "Light years ahead" is a bit much, all things considered they did pretty well last season. When their freshman QB was upright, he looked pretty god against the Ducks. Next year could be another of those Measuring Stick games when Washington and Oregon meet in Seattle.
  21. I'm thinking of other jobs and if anybody's performance of their duties matched Oregon's defense at the Rose Bowl, under Lupoi, a pink slip would have been coming. Now, it wasn't just the defense, the offense went splat too, but my impression was the defense was the worse of the two. All season the offense did enough, the thought was that more could have been done, but was held back, playbook, long season. It looked like Oregon could have reached 40 in a lot of its games. Defense, unless you're Georgia 3 years ago, won't be as dynamic as an offense, and the defense did rise up and saved the Wisconsin game. But is the defense, under Lupoi, going to reach another level?

  23. Very possible. In an article I saw, the writer was using ends justify the means to say how perfect the Final Four turned out in the CFP, taking hits at Oregon and the other higher seeded losing teams. Telling us now what a shame it would have been if osu2 and Notre Dame wouldn't be playing in the Final; would not have been in a 4 team Playoff at all.
  24. Great for the Broncos, Jeanty will have the same uniforms he had at Boise State, but who gets Skattebo?
