  1. Interesting. On the surface it seems like it would work and be balanced. The articles claims that UW has already applied for Big 10 membership....
  2. Besides, we have 8 TE's on the roster now. Granted one or two of them are Tommy Boy seniors.
  3. I don't know what's going on in the diamond sports, but it's brutal.
  4. If we are moving to superconferences, why don't the Big 10 and Pac 12 simply merge in total and become the PacBig 22? Maintain all existing pods/divisions and the top two teams play in the Rose Bowl for a shot at the Championship. They would have ample ample leverage for TV contracts, etc. Or, diid the genius Pac-12 presidents already put the kibosh on this while I was napping in my lunch soup?
  5. If I had to guess, Annie, it would be that the other sports would remain in the PAC-12 and it would be relatively unchanged. What I don't have any idea about is Title IX changes that might be made that would de-couple the now "semi-pro" sports from the rest of the athletic department. If that were to happen in some form or fashion, then we may see those sports go away unless they can self-fund somehow.
  6. Hmmm.....first question nowadays: what role did NIL play here? Seems he is re-opening his commitment, not announcing a commitment to another school....yet. Maybe he is NIL shopping? Shaking down the Ducks for a better deal? None of the above?
  7. I realize that, if true at one point, it could be moot in the NEW WORLD ORDER of College Football, but hasn't the PAC-12 historically been opposed to allowing religious universities to join? So, Baylor and BYU, would not be considered, for example.
  8. I appreciate the write-up, including reviews of past articles. From a fan's perspective, I would love to see this system used simply for the variation in play design alone. I enjoy watching multiple look offenses. I also think a system that spreads the ball around helps in the NIL self-branding era.
  9. This would matter materially if there were an enforcement agency in college football. As it is we have Dewey, Cheatum and Howe overseeing the sport
  10. It will be interesting to see if he shackles this kid like he did Justin Herbert
  11. That would be A-mazing. I think Bama will be tough to beat out for Young. As Meat Loaf once sang: Two Out of Three Ain't Bad May you rest in peace, Mr. Loaf
  12. I meant DJU's brother, Matayo....I've got my Uiagalelei's mixed up 🤪
  13. Yes! Stanley Cup series continues....have a feeling this one goes to 7. Nothing like a Stanley Cup Game 7.....the bourbon cabinet may need to be replenished.
  14. Completely agree. Establishing DL recruiting dominance is the last brick in the wall. We can and have competed everywhere else on the recruiting front. If I had to pick two 5 stars from this visitor list, it would be Hicks and DJU
  15. My guess is that it is a part of this project: University releases plans for a future indoor practice facility AROUND.UOREGON.EDU The 170,000-square-foot building, funded with private gifts, is expected to open in 2024
  16. Am I the only one who finds it hard to follow the softball team? Don't get me wrong...I want to and have tried to in the past. But there is always a LOT of "palace intrigue" around the team from my perspective. Gossip about coaches, past and present, countless transfers, rumors and innuendo on the fan forums but no one ever can speak authoritatively on what's happening. The impression I get is that you are told as a fan: shut up, don't ask questions, things are complicated, next year is the year. Kinda leaves me flat. Am I the only one?
  17. Only Phil Knight's involvement gets me to care about the Blazers or the NBA anymore. My 12 year old self from 1977 is still in shock about how little I care about the team or the league. Vulcans continue to make the same mistake....never fully committing to a strategy. I understand Dame is good, but to rebuild, he's the only guy who can bring value right now and should be traded. Admittedly, his rapping will be tough to replace.
  18. I also think it's difficult when you need 4 or more players at a position in a class. In such cases, you need to evaluate and get some 3 stars to fill in the roster. Getting multiple 4 and 5 stars in one class at one position, as the Ducks need to do at both CB and Safety this year, is tough except at OL where there are 5 starting positions.
  19. Heard rumblings about this....is Vin Lannana coming back?
  20. Indeed.....courtesy of THE OSU and it's fanbase
  21. TL:DR version of the 50 plus Husky fan's typical post:
  22. Note at the end of this article, an update suggests Moore may visit Meatchicken prior to coming to Oregon and then heading to the Elite 11 in SoCal.
  23. I really hope things work out for this kid despite him not choosing the Ducks. It seems as though the equivalent of the AAU hoops grifter agent/hanger-on types are now getting into the ear of high school footballers in the NIL era. What could go wrong?
