Will ASU Destroy Oregon’s Playoff Hopes AGAIN?
I love ya Fish.......but you need to step back from the computer screen and wash your hands from your frequent visits to the Cheetos Bowl. Lol Mari⁰ was too involved with that offense. ASU at least was a 'Team'. Now? ASU is hanging on by a thread but is not bare when it comes to heart. However, Oregon has never had a defense like this. Ever. And they are getting stronger. Oregons offense is 1st in the country, not NW, not Conference, but the entire country. Heisman worthy QB runs the ship and a nationally prominent offensive line guards the Cap'n. I rest reeeeeaaaaal easy with this game. Its the next 2 that have my attention. They are going to be a dog fight! Duck On!!!! Now, where's my Cheeto Bowl?

If Chip is Fired, Could Dante Moore Be Fit For Ducks?
I've railed against Ty this past year. Rightfully so. But, his play this season has been stratospheric. It looks to me that he is starting to understand the offense and make the correct choices in his progressions. Dante has given Oregons coaching staff some reasonable material to work with in evaluating him. I'm totally shooting from the hip, but I wonder if its a good idea to bring in a newbie from the portal for the QB position? Bonix was effectively a senior when he showed up. I would feel more inclined to get an upper classman from a second tier school that has proven himself than a ? mark in Dante.

Canzano on Lanning to TAMU: 'Have You Met the Guy?'
"The grass isn't always greener" I'm taking my Duck glasses off. 1) Where does my family want to be? Thats a huge draw. DL needs/already has answered that question 2) Get the respect deserved if my final destination is the NFL. Do I need to go to a top school to do that to Segway to the NFL? Is Oregon filling that need? 3) can I make more money moving to a different school? 4) do I have the support from the alumni as well as the school to make the decisions needed? Oregon has more than enough money, environment, alumni support, and prestige to check all these boxes. A(T)M is a dumpster fire. Top tier coach with top tier players. Just can't seem to win. Then the alumni get rid of you 2 years later. Oregon will give DL the time needed to put it all together. He's moving at warp speed. Nah, he isn't going anywhere else as it wont help anything that is important to him.

Caleb Williams....Here is Some Autzen Advice for Saturday Night...
Apparently U$UC will need a 'Mental Health day' after tonight. At least they won't watch the film, that should help.

Caleb Williams....Here is Some Autzen Advice for Saturday Night...
Thats true. But, you have to have self awareness knowing your actions reflect on to the team. Pain is real, but a Man doesn't crawl over to his mom because he lost a game. He definitely doesn't do it on National TV. It hurts the team. This is classic of people thinking of themselves first and the team*other people second. Losses can teach so much more than wins. Where were the poor decisions? Did I read the defense correctly? Am I weak under pressure? If he goes crying to his mom after a loss, whats his mental state in the thick of a game? Nerves of Steel. Next Play! Next Quarter! Next Game! Become a machine. Mental toughness can take an average QB and make him really good. The old adage, don't let last weeks game beat you this week. It's all about mental toughness. The world is digressing, we are seeing it on the Grid Iron. One other thing....'I didn't watch the film..I'm moving on'. Sounds selfish to me. Sounds mentally weak for a game that takes mental toughness. Ducks win 51-27 Caleb starts crying to start the 4th quarter.

College Football - 2nd Playoff Ranking - Eye Test or What Have Done on the Field?
I hate this debate with a passion. At its core, your record means little. I have zero (0) love for Michigan. They have played nobody. Yet they are undefeated. They should be in the top 5. Yet, by using the metrics of 'who have you played', and 'do you pass the eyeball test', you should have UM below UW at the very least. One could argue Oregon took an undefeated team to the last play with the game in Oregons hands. Shouldn't Oregon be ranked ahead of UM? By that questionable metric one could reasonably argue that. But, I hate opinions when it comes to rankings. Its skewed, its biased, it opens the door to conspiracy and tainted views. Simply play the stinking games and then.....scoreboard. But I'm a puritan for CFB. No trophy's for losers only winners. The playoffs start in the regular season. Round (1) win your conference. 5 players with (7), I prefer (3), at large. Then take the at large and apply your record accordingly. You don't get punished for the conference you are in. If you are 11-1 and another team is 10-2......well? You played your in season and you lost. Want to get in? Don't lose next time. I seriously hate that a bunch of guys can sit around a table and give their opinion to who plays in the playoffs. I also hate that they rank teams before anyone plays a game. Its all fixed. Why even play if you have to play by different rules if you are in a separate conference? Its disgusting. I love College Football.

BREAKING: USC Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch Fired
And another thing... CAL played U$C how well? They should have beat U$C. Oregon just throttled CAL. Oregon choked them out. Oregon gifted CAL 10 points and yet beat them by 44. Yup.......44!!! Oregon will not overlook U$C. Its the game they have looked at all year. If they don't win this one then its a real chance they don't play in the PAC championship. Yeah...Oregon won't overlook U$C.

Who Is The Worst Transfer QB You Would Take?
Lanning brought Bo in due to winning immediately. He didn't know the QB room and what he saw made him put out the leaders. Lanning now has a few QB's he's recruited to fit his offense. TT wouldn't be here if he didn't have some semblance of a grasp of the offense. He's been a head scratcher up to this year. All of a sudden he's looking solid. It wouldn't be fair to think he will seamlessly replace Bonix. Ty looks more than competent and willing to grow. Lets get that kid some reps with the #1's when U$C is down 45-17 with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd.

BREAKING: USC Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch Fired
There is NO WAY a new defensive coordinator will get this team gelling in 6 days. No way against the #6 team. Oregon isnt getting weaker, they are getting stronger. Absolute nightmare for a U$C defense to learn and develop any cohesiveness in 6 days. They are going to get smoked...HARD! 45-24 Oregon. U$C has gone overtime, lost by small margins and won by even smaller margins. U$C is submarining and Oregon is igniting the Rocket Engines on the launch pad. The score might be worse. 51-24 Its going to be ugly

Rationale for Predicting a Blowout vs. USC
The nature if College Football teams is that the reveal themselves as the season goes on. They get better or they get worse. Part of that is because 18 year olds aren't done growing and maturing, Physically and mentally. Learning and being disciplined in anything is a growing aspect for these teenagers. They are extremely emotional and can give up rather quickly. A team can be lost. U$C is on the verge of a complete melt down. It hasn't happened yet. All their losses have been close. Oregon as a team has gotten better. Its obvious the Team as a whole is understanding their individual roles and the Coaching is exceptional. The bottom line is that when you plug in those metrics then you have a probability of a lop sided game that can make the fragile team fall off the map. A complete team gaining steam against a team losing their dream. Oregon beats U$C 45-24 and then U$C gives up on the season. Not that they won't win any more games, but their dream is over.

Here's How: Oregon CAN Lose to Cal
I would respectfully disagree. Oregons defense is like 'Nothing' I have ever seen. Never! They have taken an offense that slung it to beat U$C in Utah and completely dismantled them. They have taken a relatively strong powered offense in Colorado and eliminated it. WSU? The score wasn't that close as the end portrayed itself. Don't let Cal's offensive eruption against U$C lull you into an apprehensive position for this week's game. U$C has no defense. And it gets worse with a high powered opposing offense. Oregon is going to erupt on Cal. Cal is NO Utah. They won't stop Oregon at 35 points. 24 points is about right. If so, Cal will have done what 3 teams failed to do. Score 7 points. 3 meaningful drives is about right for CAL. 7 for Oregon sounds about right as well. Oregon 41 CAL 17 It could be even worse. Oregon 45 CAL. 13

We Got SNOOKERED by Utah Fans....
I give no credence to a small handful of fans that are boorish. I remember being on the field after Oregon whooping up on U$C. Sanchez was their QB. One of Oregons illustrious students decided to make a sign that referenced a derogatory act with the word 'Sanchez' in it. They also drew pictures as well. The U$C band had to turn around as it was so disgusting. I truly was embarrassed by the 'Oregon Fan'.I was embarrassed for all us fans and hoped we weren't all grouped together as boorish fans. I'll bet we were. It's the nature of Fandom. Opposing fans take isolated incidents and paint the entire opposing fan base as such. That in turn translates to emotions about the opposing 'Team'. The Team just plays and somehow we hate 'The Team'. Case in point? Washington voting us out of a position for a Bowl game. We tend to project our emotions for the other team based on isolated incidents of a handful of people or maybe just one. I'm guessing opposing fan bases think the same. STINKING HUSKIES!! Don't you just love College Football???!!!

Utah in SLC: Our Toughest Regular Season Game Remaining?
If UU is the toughest, then OSU is right on their tail. The Beavs have been quietly producing with a solid team. Their weakness? To me it's their QB and he is getting better. The Beavs are 'just good enough' to win the 'Civil War'. Yes!! I said Civil War!! Its the last one that we know about.

Wilner Calls Out Riley, and Rightfully So.
Best advice in dealing with adversity? Face the music in good times and bad. But, thats not what we do in today's society right? Everyone is coddled, everyone receives a trophy....even last place. Just show up and you're a winner. Should we be surprised when adversity rears up and the leaders coddle them? Where will the leaders come from then?

What Did ASU Do That We Didn’t or Couldn’t Do?
Penix had to receive medical attention during last game. This game, he looked like a wounded QB trying to play through injury.

Cam Rising: Just in Time for Oregon?
Imo, Rising doesn't need another year to prove his worth. 6 games left in the season is NOT worth aggravating an injury that is or is not healed yet. Sadly, this is the preseason for next year for Utah. Its not about Oregon, its about coming off an incredibly serious injury. Getting back to playing form takes a while.

Of the Best Pac-12 Teams, Oregon is Built Differently
I truly do not know if Colorado is for real or not. U$C has an anemic defense. But, Oregon held Colorados vaunted passing attack to 0 points. The backups allowed Colorado to score only 1 TD at the end of the game. 7 sacks?......nuff said. Against Washington I predict Penix plays much better but Oregon still stifles their output. 37-28 Oregon

Coach Dan Lanning's Old Colorado Comment Going Viral Today
It only truly works if you keep winning. 'nobody believes in us' works while you win. But, when you lose? Thats reality. And reality usually hits...'home'.
-
Coach Dan Lanning's Old Colorado Comment Going Viral Today
Don't be scared of trash talk leading up to the game. But, let the plays talk for themselves during the game. After the game?? SCOREBOARD!! 38-27 Oregon. Our D is picking it up. This will be the 'D'ifference!

Ducks Losing Out on Brandon Baker
Interestingly enough, I'm super high on our O'line. And yet, there is only 1-5*. Thats a position that is critical and yet, give these kids 1-2 years to fill out into a MAN and they are solid material. Getting the QB to play at his potential needs a solid O'line. I believe we have that. I would love Baker, and I truly hope he comes. But, if I had to choose one or the other? We NEED D'line disruptors!!! Our offense hasn't really been an issue for 15 years. Its our defense that has been more of the weakness. Think about TT offense. Not polished, but pretty good. So, heavy lean on D'line recruits like Lanning has been doing so far.

Five Takeaways From Oregon’s Week 1 Drubbing of Portland State
There's another player that stood out to me. In fact, he smacked the college world in the face with his aggressive play. Dowdell hit the hole like a freight train!! He was consistently getting 4-5 yards after first contact. Absolutely impressive!! We need more CowBell...errrr DowDell!!!!
