  1. Precisely. Athletic Directors have to hire winning coaches, keep them happy, and hope that football wins enough to pay for it all. Canzano is in a fix, as I enjoyed his takes on the Pac-12 Conference and would read about Oregon State. As for now?
  2. You gotta start with yours!
  3. I have written this earlier, but if the B1G came in and offered just 10 million-the B1G could profit, and we would all benefit from from a bigger western pod.
  4. When asked what he would do if Oregon State had been offered a chance at going to the B1G? He indicated he would have stayed in the Pac-12, and "worked it out." Oregon State would have gone in a heartbeat, and not felt the least bit bad about it. In fact they would have considered it a double win....more money AND sticking it to Oregon! The pathetic blaming of Oregon from Beaver fans is disgusting, and indicative of their nature.
  5. And you can tell he spent time in Memphis and Auburn...."Goll--ee!"
  6. There are some who call this short interview below as cringeworthy, but frankly--I always liked him, and if this is the way it is....then it is! They are going to be a tough out...
  7. For more about what Pate thinks is best case and worst case for Oregon...I have the video qued up to 48:04 already for you. "I'm telling you if the best case happens....there is an undefeated regular season for them."
  8. Oh this is juicy and good gosh I hope he is right! It is already qued up to the spot at 32:35 in the video so you can click and listen! "This ranking surprised me." "Not a stacked roster..."
  9. "Bo Nix is undervalued still, and both sides of the LOS are undervalued."
  10. This is only a minute and a half, and a fun listen. I like how he "gets it" concerning the offensive and defensive line, and I take it a notch further to assert we will see a big step up on defense this year.
  11. On a pay site--a member wrote that unless he truly knew it was Colorado...he thought he was watching a high school team!
  12. No Lanning doesn't IMHO. Please watch the last part of that video and listen to what Sanders says...
  13. That is an unfortunate post....so let's not comment in either direction please.
  14. The only team from the future B1G that was ranked at the end of last season was No. 12 Oregon. So I think Oregon and UCLA will be vying for the B1G title in our first year....
  15. That sounds like a brawl and forfeits in the future. Glad I'm not in his conference after this year!
  16. It is a short two minute interview, but he says a ton and is very upbeat about the upside. What he does not mention, is that Oregon will not longer be playing Stanford, Arizona, ASU and Oregon State in conference play after this year. The B1G did not have a single team ranked in the top 25 at the end of last season, thus it is wide open for the Ducks. Waz also coached in the B1G for a couple of years at Purdue, thus he already knows the fields, the travel issues, all of it already. Oregon is poised!
  17. I was aghast at seeing this...so many bad messages, so many ways it will hurt the team later. Good gosh, I'm glad we don't have him here! (And before you ask...yes, in the rules we can write anything about any coach, player, journalist, anyone-anywhere. Just nothing personal about current players and coaches. Performance criticism--yes, getting personal with current players and coaches--no. The rest of the world is fair game.)
  18. Believe it or not...but I wrote that above, and then found this...
  19. This is a great idea, and I do not know if the Ducks have an "official" Oregon Craft Beer IPA....but we should. Better yet, make one special for us! "Lanning Lager"...."Yell-'O'-Ale?"
  20. Lanning said he wanted LBs who could move "sideline-to-sideline" and not just cover the A-Gaps. So--if they held their speed...look out!
  21. For a big article...it was pretty skimpy of what the article was supposed to be about. "Washington left and Oregon followed..." That is it? No more elaboration, no source, no proof, not even logic as to why from the Oregon angle?
  22. That video above is so cool from 1998...Herman had power, and the moves. He stepped in to save us when Reuben Droughns got hurt early in that game. Boy could Oregon run screen passes well back then!
