Well, I would like to think that most people understand the enormity of the task for a first game, and knowing Lanning is new--will cut him some slack. EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced today the signing of transfer Jermaine Couisnard, a 6-4 guard from the University of South Carolina. In three seasons at South Carolina, Couisnard averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Couisnard led the Gamecocks in scoring last year with 12.0 points per game, tallying 14 double-digit outings and three 20-plus point games. He closed out conference play with five-straight 10-point games, including a career-high 33 points (12-18 FG) versus LSU. “Jermaine continues to grow as a player and is a tough guard with experience against high-level competition,” said Altman. “He is the type of player that will fit in well here at Oregon and we’re excited to have him.” Couisnard was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2020 and was twice named SEC Freshman of the week. The East Chicago, Indiana native attended East Chicago Central High School, averaging 29.2 points, and was named an Indiana All-Star as a senior. Couisnard also played one season at Montverde Academy in Florida.

No, I will politely disagree as that is not what I remember. Tua was not making grades his sophomore year in high school, and Helfrich could not take a chance on someone who may end up in JC. Helf stated he would offer when the grades got better; when the grades were better in six months...Tua gave us the finger. Helfrich made a ton of mistakes, but not this one. Considering all the Oregon QBs who were highly rated and bombed...he could not have another.

Oregon has won a second match, and needs one more. But with one holes left...the Ducks are down one stroke in one match, and with three and four holes left--two Ducks are leading by only a stroke. Whew!

Two women have completed 11 holes, and one after 12, after 13, and after 14 with the Ducks leading 3-1-1 over the Aggies.

The least number of holes played has been nine with one match having played 12 holes, but Oregon is leading in three of the matches, tied with one, and trailing in another for a 3-1-1 lead thus far. Crunch time coming!
