If it gets Bill Walton to become a Duck booster, I might go for it for several reasons.

Georgia LB Nolan Smith Lost For This Weeks Game With Tennessee
nw777b replied to DazeNconfused's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Yeah, this has all the championship dressing. Might be a case of fewer mistakes or last one with the ball scores and wins. A CFB lover's dream. -
Mild weather in the forecast, except for possible high winds. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High around 60F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph. RUN the ball, please!

Wow! Isn't that more than one Pac-1? school receives in shared media revenue?

Agree. How many big contracts have resulted in big results? These are dynasty dollars. Build a dynasty, then get the dollars. (see Saban)

I agree a player should not quit mid-season.

Thank you for serving, @lownslowav8r. This reminds me of, arguably, the best offensive lineman to play in the NFL - Larry Allen. I was thinking about him this weekend while musing about how Chip Kelly chose faster lineman over heavy linemen. Larry was fast! Search youtube for his highlights. I lived in Rohnert Park, CA when he played at Sonoma State. I never went to a game, but the Santa Rosa Press Democrat had an amazing write up after he wowed NFL scouts. I would watch the Cowboys to watch him. His backstory is frightening to me, but now he's in the Hall of Fame. One writer calls it the Compton to Canton story. If you like to read, check out the Wikipedia page and the resource links at the bottom. Larry Allen - Wikipedia EN.M.WIKIPEDIA.ORG

Seven has been in. He's been mediocre. He's returned KOs. I don't see stats since the AZ game.

The Oregon Brand is BACK and is No Longer Chip Kelly’s Legacy

The Ducks are better. But most all of CFB play has improved thanks to people like Kelly. I wasn't disparaging Kelly. -

Ditto @PittDuck! I'm also concerned about our QB situation next year, but I'm trying to enjoy this season and hope for the best. Put CO away early and get the backups a lot of reps! -
The Oregon Brand is BACK and is No Longer Chip Kelly’s Legacy

I've been thinking a lot this weekend about the post Kelly regression and now progression of the Duck offense. It seems to me things have come full circle - like a space ship gaining speed on it's trip to another planet by using the force of gravity while going around the dark side of the moon (Helfrich, Taggart, Cristobal years). Chip shows the football world how speed and innovation can change the game. Lineman can be big and fast, not just tall and fat. The football world is skeptical, but the results were undeniable. Then Saban consults with Kelly. We see more teams buying into Kelly's ideas but with 5 star players. SEC linemen start to look stronger and faster and they have more stamina. Dual threat QBs are vital. Cristobal worked under Saban. So he had SEC exposure. Mario comes to Eugene and recruited very well to bring higher rated prospects to Oregon, but without the high octane play calling. Oregon gets more SEC coaches and an SEC QB transfer that has taken an offense to a new level with an amazing and diverse talent complimented by a defense that is deep and talented, as well. It seems the Oregon-Kelly-SEC-Oregon circle has the program headed in the right direction and better than Kelly left it after going around the long and dark side of the moon. -
It's too bad time in the pocket is not tracked. There were a few times the Oregon offensive line had Cal rushers completely sealed off for what seemed like an eternity. Cal came out determined to stop the run. They did a good job and tackled in space extremely well. But the Duck O line pass protection is what caught my attention. I'd love to know how much time Bo had in the pocket yesterday -- on average and the longest duration.

There's no offensive pass interference when the turf monster tackles the Corner. Not a good look.

I hope Ty is taking notes. Milner took the horns and looked really good despite getting pressured multiple times. I was hoping Ty would get another chance today.
-
I find him refreshing. He's made a few mistakes, though.

Good to see Sewell getting some good TV time due to isolated plays.

Oregon will be the best red zone D the Bears have faced. By the way, Oregon's red zone is 30 yards, not 20, on defense and 50 yards on offense. Kicker, DARIOLONGHETTO, has struggled kicking over 40 yards. Oregon 56-7 1 TO 2 Sacks 278 yards passing

Joseph Goodman (Auburn): Watching Bo Nix With Bitterness in My Heart
nw777b replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
WOW! Loved that article... The old idea of college coaches being more valuable than a team’s players is on its way out. Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl gets it, and that’s why he’s so successful. I agree. -
I seem to vaguely remember a time when some naive Duck fans wore shirts to a home game that had "We want 'Bama" printed on them while they watched the Ducks lose. I'm going to enjoy each game as it comes and not concern myself with the future. Even with the abysmal start, this has been the most fun season I've enjoyed since Marcus won the Heisman. The Dillingham/Nix show is working well. I don't care where they are ranked or if they are invited to the CFP this year. I've seen enough to know I love what I see. I can't wait to watch another Duck football game. Go Ducks!!

Bucky is more fun to watch. I think he breaks tackles and is more elusive in general.
