  1. This is no longer the concern for me that it once was. They look like they have figured out a line that works even without Bedford. I only recall seeing him in for one offensive possession during the Civil War and that was after the game was already in hand. I think as long as they can continue to refine this line-up they can let Bedford get himself as near 100 as possible before tOSU.
  2. With a 12 team playoff field, the margin of error has grown to where a loss isn't suddenly the end of the world. One could argue that a loss could be the medicine needed for THIS team. I am not advocating that it should become the norm for a team to experience adversity in the form of a loss in order to finally start clicking. However, I do believe that this team has bought in too hard to the pre-season hype. They need a chip on their shoulders. The OL needs to play like their season depends on it every game. I do think that with time, Lanning will become good at being able to manufacture this type of playing attitude. However, this 2024 team doesn't seem to have fully bought into that just yet. A loss early on could very well be the thing to right this ship in time for tOSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, and prove the doubters that we are ready for the B1G.
  3. Seems like the trend at Nike the past few years has been more towards the monochromatic look. Big main colors with smaller accents rather than the flair of the middle 2000's. Still, I'm pretty confident they have more combinations to reveal. I remember the teaser from back in spring showing a design board with lots of line items on it.
  4. They knew they were working with a left handed QB since before spring practices. IMO they chose to put the guys in place to protect his blind side back in April. They have been practicing this way for 5 months. I think the switching of positions to account for Bedford's absence is the bigger issue. I don't like that there isn't a #2 that can slide into his place and leave the rest of the line intact. For all the talk about the depth of the team this season, you would think this would give us the ability to keep Poncho at center and replace the Bedford with the next man up. This won't be the last time we lose a man on the line for a game this season...
  5. Former Oregon football QB Ty Thompson scores 2 TDs in Tulane opener AUTZENZOO.COM Former Oregon football quarterback Ty Thompson scored a couple of touchdowns in Tulane's season opener on Thursday.
  6. He figured if they had enough stars he wouldn't have to develop anyone!
  7. Ty Thompson's talent on high school film reminded me a lot of Vince Howard from Friday Night Lights. He seemed to excel at improvising and doing whatever he wanted after the ball was snapped; in terms of getting it to playmakers. However, when he moved into the structure of a D1 offensive system which required him to make the plays that were called, he seemed to lose himself in the schematics. It seems like he has a lot of trouble reading a playbook, the game hasn't slowed down for him in 4 years.
  8. Colorado under Deion was a joke in the PAC and now the Big 12 is about to find out why. I'd love to see him try and get mouthy before playing Oklahoma St. at home on November 29th just to have Mike Gundy and Co. put him in his place.
  9. Looks like the ducks store may have dropped their latest hint and the next uniform reveal. Could we see the return of the Stormtroopers!? Oregon Football Uniforms: White Ducks Jersey Sneak Peek WWW.SI.COM A new Oregon Ducks jersey style is coming to the Duck Store in 2024, according to it's Twitter/X. The white Oregon Ducks uniform style is dripping with cool de
  10. Not quite the Mike Leach SEC Media Day opener, but then again what comes close to The Pirate?
  11. This one has some serious 1994 nostalgia! What are you thoughts?
  12. Both teams, but especially Beavis, are operating under the "Titanic mentality." They really do believe that the conference (in name only) is simply too big to sink. As time passes this ship will only continue to take on more water. All the while, the presidents and athletic directors exude confidence to the fanbase that they'll soon be reforming the Pac-12 or joining their former brethren in a power conference They'll only be convinced of the truth after time has run out in 2026; after having exhausted all the funds that they stole, are told a resounding NO by the MWC and other mid-major conferences. A new schedule of Big Sky and NAIA opponents is then revealed as the killing blow.
  13. The Beavs and the Cougs may have a war-chest of money at their disposal; but to spend on what if nobody wants them? Could their public desire to join a flagging ACC or an expanded Big 12 have given doubt to the presidents of their borrowed conference about their commitment? Or do they just plain have no meaningful value? Washington State, Oregon State Reportedly In Serious Trouble As Future Plans In Doubt WWW.OUTKICK.COM Washington State and Oregon State might be in big trouble when it comes to future plans.
  14. These with a design callback to the 2013-14 unis on a yell-O night would make the fanbase go berzerk!
  15. Another fairly well known 😉 Duck alum will be revealing the next new uniform set this week.
  16. Oregon Ducks Announce Which Players Will Represent At Big Ten Media Days WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks football program will send linebacker Jeffrey Bassa, tight end Terrance Ferguson, and transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel to Big Ten Media Days
  17. Pretty decent write up on the trajectory of the program. But one final hurdle remains in order to truly join the elite. Josh Pate Names Big Ten Team As 'Next Super Power in College Football' https://athlonsports.com/college-football/josh-pate-names-big-ten-team-oregon-as-next-super-power-in-college-football
  18. I read somewhere that we don't legally join the conference until 8/02/2024. So they can't make announcements until then.
  19. Even with additional parking spots I'd still park at the "building under the bridge" IYKYK; and walk any day. Always spots, great tailgating, and you gain 5 to 8 new friends by the time you hit the Mo!
  20. Fox Sports analyst RJ Young seems more like he's hoping for Dillon Gabriel to struggle with Oregon's debut season in the B1G. He also happens to be a big fan of Ohio State. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/rj-young-foresees-dillon-gabriel-struggle-oregon-2024-college-football-season
  21. Hilarious anti-Gabriel propaganda. I watched the OU-Texas game last year. The guy could not miss. He was putting balls wherever he wanted on the field. This was all post-injury 🤣. In the Spring Game, if the broadcast would have blurred out DG and only showed the ball leaving his hands you would've swore it was Bo Nix out there. I'm not worried about his production one bit.
  22. I wonder if Kirby Smart is having buyer's remorse on this kid yet? 😬
  23. Didn't United add a nonstop to Columbus when we played there a few years back?
  24. USuCk on paper should be a much more well rounded team than last season; even losing Caleb Williams. They will probably have a serviceable defense. If this was the PAC I might give them and Oregon the highest odds to win. However, this is the B1G. SC has an absolute meat grinder of a schedule this season. I give myself better odds at winning Powerball than I do USC to win the conference. Oregon has built itself into a physical, yet skilled team, in order to play in a physical conference. USC has simply tried to make itself more closely resemble its successful teams of old. FYI USC...those teams still played in the PAC! The B1G is going to gnaw the meat right off their bones; and without sufficient depth to replace losses to injury, this team will be relegated to another 8-5 season.
