Thanks for that clip. Fun to see the running, but also the blocks that helped clear the way.

With Chip (IMHO) it was his condescending attitude to the local press (I always thought he sucked up to ESPN and other major networks, and he obviously basked in the glow of Erin Andrews), and, from what I saw & heard, his reluctance to schmooze with donors and be friendly to fans, and I think those things are part of being a good coach (not necessary to be a winning coach, but what I would call a good coach).

I couldn't get the link to work, but I remember when the movie was made, and I've seen it a few times. I have set foot in the president's office where the horse collapses, when I was helping to chaperone kids in my daughter's 5th grade class. President Boyd talked to the kids for a few minutes (but not about Animal House ). I ate lunch at the restaurant near Dexter Lake where part of the movie was filmed--it was a few years later and the decor in part of one room at that time was as it looked in the movie. I'm on the right.

Yep, he'll always be an Oregon alum.

It was a nice post, and what he said at the end didn't surprise me--that he recently became engaged and he and his fiancee are ready to start their life in California, he's going back home.

Isn't he from that area? Maybe that has something to do with it. I wish him luck, unless/except if the Ducks plays usc.

One reason I never make predictions about Duck games is that I could never bring myself to predict a loss. -

One thing is--where does the money come from? I don't know what it's like at other universities, but Oregon is a "state-supported" school with the state contributing only about 10% of what it costs to run the university. The university does a lot of fundraising. Some donors make huge contributions to the academic and/or sports side. (And there are many big donors other than the one that immediately springs to mind. )

Maybe AB could make it in the CFL, though.

Right now on CBSSN. He just completed a touchdown pass.

His arms certainly look well toned.

While I had thought that Travis might opt to go to the NFL, his decision to enter the portal is a total surprise to me. I wish him luck in whatever he does, but would love to see him change his mind and stay at OR for his final year.

Report card time--interesting to see Oregon State's grade over Oregon's.

Some day I'd like to see Georgia or Alabama or you-name-the-school play the Ducks at a "neutral" site such as Allegiant Stadium. -
When will the work be finished? Will they be playing at Reser this coming season?

Yep, the Ducks went down swinging.
