Who knows--ESPN just hears that UO is interviewing CK and says they are "pushing" to bring him back. They could just as easily say interviewing Kelly is a cover for talking with someone else. In other words, I don't think ESPN knows any more than we do. 🙂

Does a college/university have to ask permission to speak to coaches in the NFL?

I've often wondered how things would have gone if Oregon had hired Aliotti to follow Chip as HC.

Unless and until Saban leaves Alabama. Saban is 70, which is not that old, but time, like toilet paper, seems to run out faster when you get near the end of the roll, and even Saban might be ready to rest on his laurels at some point.

If he could get the players to stop the penalty-inflicting trash talking, that would be a good start.

Bellotti Offers to be Interim Coach

For interim coach? Or even...head coach. (Hear me out. 🙂 ) He's currently Associate Head Coach and Co-Defensive Co-ordinator. Yes, these may be "just titles", but still. AND he's from American Samoa, so he's probably not going to be looking for an eventual head coaching job there. Just a thought!

As I remember, Bailey's mother was especially thrilled when Bailey committed to Oregon, because she liked Cristobal. Well, now Cristobal is much closer to Bailey's home state...

Of course, I suppose it's possible he could always recommit, depending on the next HC.

Maybe they want to pitch their choice among current coaches to replace MC?

I did read, however, that Alamo Bowl officials are disallowing media questions to shield Cristobal, instead opting for a bowl official to ask pre-screened questions.

Someone on another site said MC was there in Duck gear, but I have not seen it, so I don't really know.

We were all ticked at Taggart for leaving at the time, but things got better. Fingers crossed things will somehow get better now too.

I wonder which assistants he is not taking.

I have a friend who is excited about going to San Antonio, so there's at least one. 🙂
