  1. I'd love to see a high-flying offense again. But when the Ducks are on the one-yard (or closer) line trying to score, I wouldn't mind seeing a QB sneak instead of a play that starts 3 yards back.
  2. The Duck goes undercover!
  3. Yep, the Ducks went down swinging.
  4. AB has talents and limitations, and also a lot of heart. I think what is phenomenal is that all things considered, the Ducks went 10-3 (so far. Go Ducks in the Alamo Bowl!).
  5. The Duck players that are going to participate in the Alamo Bowl sound excited, so I'm excited. Go Ducks!
  6. Interesting. It's natural MC would consider and then accept the Miami job, given that he played there, is from there, etc., but I do have to wonder now how distracted MC might have been during much the season.
  7. I am picky, but the title from the original author is kinda misleading; a Double-Agent is betraying one side in the end, while I'd like to think that Coach Lanning is doing right for both schools? Double Agent Dan: Lanning Working Jobs at Georgia and Oregon by Brooks Austin of Dawgs Daily
  8. For me, the Rose Bowl stadium is reason enough never to go there again. Admittedly, it was 2010 the last time I was there, so maybe things are much improved, but then the stairs were steep, uneven, and in some spots dangerously worn. The bathrooms and concession stands were outside the stadium. The video screen was small. And getting out of the stadium after the game was pure h*ll. The tunnel was jammed and so was the rest of the journey to the parking lot. It took us an hour to get from our seats to the bus. As I said, maybe things are better now, but I won't be going down there to find out.
  9. Some players moved from offense to defense? FOOTBALL PRACTICE REPORT: DEC. 26 by Rob Moseley of GoDucks.com
  10. True, and I think Greatwood always did that too.
  11. Earlier this morning. There's about 3-4" on the deck now, a bit less in the front yard.
  12. About 2" at my house, snowing off and on.
  13. Well, of course, now it is just raining here! 😀
  14. I just looked out the window and noticed fat snowflakes mixed in with the rain here in SW Eugene. (At just about the 500' level.)
  15. Actually, it was Chris Fowler and Lee Corso. But he was pretty cute, still pretty easy on the eyes!
  16. Merry Christmas and Go Ducks!
  17. The "dreamy Kirk Herbstreit," as they used to call him on Game Day. 🙂
  18. Yikes! They greatly outnumbered Duck fans when we played them in the 2010 Rose Bowl. And speaking of numbers of fans, when the Ducks went to the 1995 Rose Bowl each team was allotted 40,000 tickets, leaving 20,000 for the executives (or whomever gets those tickets). Not long after that, the number of tickets per school was dropped to 20,000. 😢
  19. According to Miss Manners (my heroine!), courtesy and boundaries are still the guiding principles. I appreciate that this forum does a great job of adhering to that.
  20. Just wondering--looks as if this is from 2.5 years ago. What was the outcome?
  21. As I remember, Jed Weaver and Wesley Mallard were both walk-ons. They both had a lot of heart, were great players for the Ducks, and then went on and played in the pros.
  22. I've seen it in person and am still not a fan. We all have different tastes, I guess. 🙂
  23. If Nix becomes the starter and can help the Ducks build a good lead in games, I hope that Lanning will be happy to let the other QBs get into the game at some point too.
  24. That's why I tend to think it was a token offer, maybe to satisfy former players that an offer had been made, but without much chance that it would be accepted.
