  1. Yikes! They greatly outnumbered Duck fans when we played them in the 2010 Rose Bowl. And speaking of numbers of fans, when the Ducks went to the 1995 Rose Bowl each team was allotted 40,000 tickets, leaving 20,000 for the executives (or whomever gets those tickets). Not long after that, the number of tickets per school was dropped to 20,000. 😢
  2. According to Miss Manners (my heroine!), courtesy and boundaries are still the guiding principles. I appreciate that this forum does a great job of adhering to that.
  3. Just wondering--looks as if this is from 2.5 years ago. What was the outcome?
  4. As I remember, Jed Weaver and Wesley Mallard were both walk-ons. They both had a lot of heart, were great players for the Ducks, and then went on and played in the pros.
  5. I've seen it in person and am still not a fan. We all have different tastes, I guess. 🙂
  6. If Nix becomes the starter and can help the Ducks build a good lead in games, I hope that Lanning will be happy to let the other QBs get into the game at some point too.
  7. That's why I tend to think it was a token offer, maybe to satisfy former players that an offer had been made, but without much chance that it would be accepted.
  8. I've always thought the new court was too busy with all those trees, and I don't like the color either. Hardwood can be so beautiful--just keep the paint to a minimum and let it shine.
  9. His twitter account still shows him in Duck colors, if that counts for anything.
  10. Lot and lots of favorites (White Christmas, Come All Ye Faithful, Jingle Bell Rock, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree). But I especially love: All I Want for Christmas is You, by Vince Vance and the Valiants (a totally different song than the one with the same title by Mariah Carey). And Elvis: It Won't Seem Like Christmas Without You (but I'll see you tonight in my dreams), and On a Snowy Christmas Night. (Give thanks for all you are blessed with, and hold your loved ones tight...)
  11. Maybe AB will start, but the younger QBs will get in the game (sooner rather than later, depending on how things go)?
  12. And meanwhile, I wonder what percentage of players who enter the portal end up without a team at all.
  13. And thus maybe the offer was such that they were pretty sure he'd turn it down.
  14. Thanks, my pleasure. Daughter and SIL are coming over in a few minutes, so I'll be off the grid once they get here. Go Ducks!

  18. Signing Day Updates Two players signed as of 6:39 am, Devon Jackson, Sir Mells
  19. I'm hoping this means that Lanning may get the running game back to days of LaMichael and DeAnthony, where we'd see the RB rip off 10, 20, 30 or more yards on a regular basis. Yes, I'd like to see the passing game be wide open, but a long run is a thing of beauty too.
  20. I'm impressed too! 🙂
  21. I missed the first 20 minutes, but discoverd this was on while searching for song Youtube.
  22. Thanks for pointing that out--it totally went right by me that the December signing period is not the only one.
  23. I'm hoping Mullens will discover and have a word (or a few strong words) with the person who leaked the letter to Canzano.
  24. Meyer has never displayed any attributes that would show he's a man of high character--or even fair-to-middling character.
