Does Bo Nix go in the First Round?
It depends on his workouts and combine performance along with the needs of the teams. I think he’s a 2nd to 5th rounder.

Coach Graves…You ‘Thought We Played Well?’
I agree with you about Mark Campbell. He married into women’s basketball coaching royalty. His father in-law, Brad Smith, is in the WBB HOF for the career he had at Oregon City HS. Hopefully, Campbell’s wife gets homesick around the time Graves leaves Oregon. I have a feeling he could be the next great one if he’s coaching the right program.

I'm Not Convinced Gabriel Will Help Oregon.
You might want to hold off on the Ward playoff predictions. He is taking an official visit to The U this week and there is a decent likelihood that Mario could sign him.

Bucky Joins JPJ On NFL Journey
Ducks still have a good 4-deep RB stable. I don’t see much of a drop off, if any.

Ty Thompson Enters Transfer Portal
I think Charles said it before. If somebody is going to be great then their greatness shows early.

Khyree Jackson Declares for NFL Draft
I don’t know if this is a good idea. He seems like a mid to late round pick. Khyree Jackson sends message to Oregon fans about NFL Draft SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Khyree Jackson sent a message to Oregon fans on Friday afternoon about his plans for the NFL Draft and the 2024 season.

Ty Thompson Enters Transfer Portal
I’m sure Mario will take a run at him. I would also expect DeBoer to consider him.

Oregon's FIRST EVER Rimington Award Winner: Jackson Powers-Johnson
No doubt Mario uses this as a recruiting tool. He’s probably still touting Penei’s Outland Trophy. He recruited JPJ, but the current coaching staff got him into this position. This is his first year starting on the OL.

Oregon Ducks Cornerback Trikweze Bridges Enters the Transfer Portal
Rodrick Pleasant emerged late in the year and got some meaningful playing time. I’m excited to see him play more.

All PAC-12 Football Team Announced
Awards that are voted on by opposing coaches always mean more. It shows the impact that the player had on them. When I think of Tostitos I think of the delicious homemade nachos I like to make. When I think of VRBO I think of getting royally screwed on extra fees for vacation rentals.

All PAC-12 Football Team Announced
Of Course, the Fusky fans are all up in arms about Penix, but he disappeared for a few games. Besides, I don’t recall ever seeing Darron Thomas on the first team and he won two PAC-10/12 championships. Andrew Luck was 0-2 against DT, but was always selected as 1st team QB. 2023 Pac-12 Football Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva, and All-Conference honors announced PAC-12.COM Offensive Player of the Year, presented by Nextiva: Bo Nix, Oregon Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year: Laiatu Latu, UCLA Freshman Offensive Player of the Year, presented by...

The Pain of Being a Superfan
I watched my favorite MLB team (Rangers) win their first ever World Series this year and it was awesome. Especially knocking off our arrogant, cheating rivals in the ALCS. I had started following them when I first moved to Dallas in the mid 80’s and they were pretty awful. Like Oregon, they slowly got better. They eventually got to the point where they were one strike away from the 2011 WS championship only to have the rug pulled out from under them. It always feels good when you’ve watched them through the hard times and they finally reach the top of the mountain. It was a great moment. I bought the shirt and hat and watched the parade on TV…and then it was over. I was on to other things. The elation of winning lasts no longer than the sorrow of losing. Life goes on. However, be glad that your team gave you a reason to be sad. If you’re only feeling is apathy when they lose then it’s very likely that they stink.

Ducks Face the Liberty Flames on Jan. 1
You can bet that if they lose to Liberty the USC fans are going to return the favor for our Tulane trash talk last year.

FSU/UGA has officially been announced for the Orange Bowl.

Bowl Game! What Opponent Do YOU Want to See?
UGA has maintained a pretty solid standard when it comes to recruiting, player development and on-field play. I would like to see if Oregon’s recruiting, player development and on-field play has improved since September of 2022. Maybe we only lose by 3 scores instead of 6. Both teams will have big name opt outs and transfers, so it might be fun to see. Unfortunately, most sites are predicting Oregon/Bama in the Fiesta Bowl. I think Bama is playing the best football in the nation right now, so it might not go well. Especially with no Dorlus, Burch, etc.

Playoff Scenario What If's
Despite me thinking that the committee will leave Bama out of the playoff, I think they’re the best team in the nation right now. If they sneak into the playoff they’ll win the national championship. The way their defense was locking down UGA’s offense yesterday was amazing. They have the best CB’s in the nation and their front seven is up there with the best.
-
Playoff Scenario What If's
It should be 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. FSU 4. Texas That is the most realistic scenario and it’s what I see happening. This would give Washington and excellent shot at playing for the national championship.

Will NIL Push NFL Bound to Play in the Bowl Games Again?
They get a draft grade from the NFL that shows them their likely draft status. It isn’t always accurate though. Verone McKinley can attest to that.
-
Will NIL Push NFL Bound to Play in the Bowl Games Again?
The positive spin I’ve heard about NIL is it can keep future late round picks from leaving college early because they would be taking a pay cut. I hope that happens with some of our Juniors.
-
The IMPOSSIBLE Playoff Choice for the Committee...
Most sites are projecting Texas for the final spot. The committee has been consistent with Texas if anything. However, I could see them pulling a final hour coup and deciding that Bama had the more impressive loss than Texas…even though their loss was to Texas.

Heisman Watch: Bo Nix a Favorite
He’s insecure because he knows the Ducks would take LSU down by at least two scores.

Well...THAT Changed My Saturday!
For those of you who aren’t watching football today, I think it’s good that you’re avoiding this evening’s games. Watching FSU vs. Louisville is like watching Iowa’s offense play against Iowa’s defense on a perpetual loop.

Bowl Game! What Opponent Do YOU Want to See?
That’s a good point. UGA without our best players could get out of hand. I wouldn’t mind a rematch of the 2015 Rose Bowl with FSU. They have a young QB like we will have. Also, I would like to beat Mike Norvell because his voice is annoying and he has cop hair.
