  1. Fleeting Lessons From Week 3: Texas A&M, Oregon Might Be Better Than We Thought College football Week 3 highlights - Top plays, games and takeaways WWW.ESPN.COM Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Oregon all showed that maybe we don't actually know everything they're capable of this season.
  2. I wonder if they know that several Duck players past and present are of the Mormon faith. It’s not just offensive to BYU fans and players. They’re basically taking digs at their fellow fans and players.
  3. Their entire team looks solid even though CSU isn’t very good. Martin Stadium is a tough place to play as well. I was at the game in 2014 when the Ducks barely squeaked out a win. Their fans will be there in full force. It’s going to be a challenge to come out of there with a win. This will be a good test. 5. Is he wasting QB talent or saving it for a lucky NFL team? I suspect TVD will be rookie of the year after he gets drafted. He’ll have the freshest arm in the league.
  6. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. UGA might actually try bury the Ducks the next time they play.
  7. Luke Combs ain’t slappin’ his head. He’s the only picker on Gameday to pick the Ducks and he didn’t hesitate. I’m glad the Gods gifted his good faith with a last second win for App State.
  8. I like the bit about the BYU national championship, but hat’s how it was done back then. If they still used that system in 2017 then UCF would’ve actually been the national champions and Scott Frost would be an unemployed championship coach instead of just an unemployed coach.
  9. This is a nice story on MC. I can appreciate why he went back to The U, but I don’t have to like the circumstances behind it. I still think that this week is one that will overwhelm him. Much like Stanford in 2018, Auburn in 2019, and Beavis in 2020; I predict that defeat will be snatched out of the jaws of victory. 11. Looking back, it’s funny to think that Michigan thought they had a chance to win at this point in the game.
  12. If you like to tailgate then get there early to beat the traffic and get a spot at the Masonic Lodge across from PK Park on MLK. Lots of good times happening over there.
  13. Good coaches take bad losses. However, losing a payout game to a FCS team is inexcusable when you have a talented roster. It shows that you didn’t prepare your team well. There are exceptions, of course. Like if you’re in your first year with unfamiliar players. This happened to Saban in his first season at Bama. It takes time to rebuild a roster. Now, to answer your question. I would rather be Jimbo, but only for this upcoming week. That’s because I know that MC will likely find a way to hand me a win.
  14. That’s another thing Mario loves about coaching Miami. When the fans boo him it’s not as noticeable when there are only a couple thousand people in the seats.
  15. EWU wasn’t a very good litmus test. The talent gap was pretty large. However, with all the Power 5 teams that seem to get beat by FCS teams every year, I was impressed that Lanning didn’t let them look past Eastern. They’re typically a good team every year. The always seem to be in the playoffs. The concern for next week is the fans. There was a lot off empty seats for a home opener. I expect to see a ton of blue in the crowd next week. BYU fans will be on a mission (pun intended). Like when Nebraska and Tennessee visited. Those guys took up about 1/3 of Autzen.
  16. I think they’ll do it Monday morning if they’re going to fire him. My question is who are they going to get to replace him?
  17. One thing Mario doesn’t have to worry about is his defense’s ability to communicate. It’s so quiet in their stadium that the players can talk to each other in a conversational tone.
  18. Wasn’t the 2017 home opener really bad? I just remember smokey skies and KO return for a TD on the opening kick.
  19. Mario still has a chance next week in College Station. Jimbo can mis-manage a game as well as anybody.
  20. The favorites aren’t doing too well today.
  21. Texas. It should be 14-10. Dropped TD pass and Bama’s DB’s (who happen to be wearing black and white striped shirts) aren’t letting The Horns WR’s catch anything.
  22. Oregon’ Sean Dollars says Ducks need to ‘hit harder than you’re supposed to,’ up practice intensity SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said this week he wants to see practice test his team more than a game. Sean Dollars says tempo is needed.
