  1. Bowers reminds me of Colt Lyerla before he had his personal problems. But way better.
  2. Me waiting for an 8 PM game.
  3. Jonathan Smith has made some questionable play calls inside the 10. I understand the need to run the ball, but he’s been very “Marioesque” and the Utes have had no problems sniffing out his play calls.
  4. It didn’t take Nolan long to throw his first interception.
  5. Another requirement for any team joint the PAC is your school has to have the name of your state in its title unless it’s a private school. Nothing screams G5 conference like have schools named after their cities. I’m talking about you Boise State and San Diego State. UCLA, UNLV are acceptable, so IUB and CSUSD would work.
  6. Both teams are very good offensively. The Ducks will have to score a lot of points to beat them. Luckily, both games are at Autzen.
  7. A lot of folks like to wait until a couple of hours before game time to buy tickets. They’re always available and they’re very cheap because the sellers are trying to mitigate their losses.
  8. I’ll defer to rooting for Chip.
  9. Same here. I’m hoping the electricity stays on here in NC. It’s been flickering a little here and there.
  10. Ole Miss vs. Kentucky is going to be one of the best games of the week. I might worm my way into seeing that game if I had the chance.
  11. I would like to see Faaope Laloulu come into the backfield. He used to play basketball and volleyball in HS, so he’s pretty athletic. He may also have good hands, so he might me a decent receiving option as a tackle eligible. If you though Stanfurd’s big TE’s were hard to cover, well….
  12. With a 12 team playoff on the horizon I’m pretty much done with worrying about which conference the Ducks will be a member. However, if the B1G is going to snatch Pac 12 teams I would hope they get enough to make another division on the West Coast.
  13. This is a very interesting read. One interesting quote I saw was “Canes are injured, slow, stiff, and depleted”. That sounds vaguely familiar. It describes the 2021 Oregon Ducks. One thing Miami hasn’t figured out that I personally have been keeping an eye on is the amount of injuries that they have. Remember how many season ending injuries Oregon had last year? Bennett, Flowe, Redd, Johnson III, Verdell to name a few. The writer has some clue because he thinks Mario is over-working them to build toughness. Their fans haven’t figured it out yet. I would expect to see more injuries as their season goes on. An off-season of "Cheap Thrills" WWW.STATEOFTHEU.COM The Miami Hurricanes had another hype-filled off-season, but it was just a few months of cheap thrills.
  14. They seem to have lost their top RB. Stanford announces season-ending injury to running back EJ Smith SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM The Cardinal lose their top rusher to a season-ending injury.
  15. It’s even better when you realize that if Funa hadn’t snatched that ball it was going for big yardage. They had a nice wall of blockers in front of that play.
  16. I kind of figured that out when I saw that he took a $700K pay cut to take another job.
  17. He’s the only guy on the team who beat Herbert head to head. That’s got to count for something.
  18. Miami has an off week and MC was undefeated at Oregon coming off of bye’s. They also got pretty lucky that they’re not playing this weekend because of Ian.
  19. Sure, but it depends on his draft stock. The good thing about NIL is a guy can make more as a College player than a late round draft pick or practice squad guy. It might actually pay more to stay another year and boost your draft stock. Especially since NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed.
  20. Two interesting points about this game. First, MTSU lost their first game 44-7 to JMU which was a FCS team last year. Second, MTSU is 3-0 all time versus Miami.
  21. There is no value in playing a NAIA team when you’re at the FCS level. SFA was also still throwing TD passes well into the 2nd half. I get that it’s up to the losing team to stop them, but maybe run the ball every down to keep the clock running. 98-0: Stephen F. Austin nearly hits century mark in rout of overmatched NAIA opponent SPORTS.YAHOO.COM The Lumberjacks came a touchdown short of tying the FCS record for the most points in a single game.
  22. Good article. In Bo’s defense, he had 3 different OC’s in 3 years. One of them being Chad Morris who was the mastermind behind the play on this video. Bo also took a ton of sacks at Auburn. He’s much improved when he has time to throw.
