That is a great point regarding Penix and running... or rather, not running. On the year, he has had 25 carries, for a net minus -14 yards.

Some other good Penix news is that of his 8 Int's on the season, 5 of these have been over the course of his last 6 games. And he easily could have had 2 more picks last week. Also, the dude is almost a zero run threat. For the entire season, he has attempted 25 carries for -14 yards... Yes, that's minus -14 yards for the entire year.

Somebody has a good sense of humor.

Which is funny to me because 42-32 is my score prediction for the game tomorrow night.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes.

No idea why y'all are so nervous about this game. The only thing on the line is a trip to the college football playoffs, a shot at the National Championship, and some ol' trophy that they call the Heisman. Just another average, run of the mill, Friday night.

There is one group that I'm confident is definitely not underestimating the Huskies... and that is the Duck football team. And fortunately, they're the only group that matters.

That's just a fabulous video. We sat on the 40 for that Oregon-Kansas State Fiesta Bowl, and I will never forget DAT and that opening play kickoff return for a TD, with him breaking the tape.

Actually - I kinda forgot and overlooked that, in addition to Arizona, UW played one other Top 20 team, and won... I like to sometimes block out bad memories 😉

Oregon is seriously due to get some help from some other teams out there. We've gotten nuthin' as far as help from other teams so far -- at least that I can think of. I'm speaking especially to Auburn for their complete last second meltdown on Saturday. Sheesh!

I'm curious how UWs SOS is so much higher than Oregon's. They only played one currently ranked team, Arizona, and their OOC schedule was weak like ours (Boise St 7-5, Tulsa 4-8, Mich St. 4-8).

Yes... exactly. I actually meant to mention that in my post. If a team is going to fade in the season, it's pretty much always in the 2nd half of the schedule. Teams get ground down, injuries start to kick in, and they're often just exhausted. Not only is Oregon not fading, they have been getting better and more focused with each passing week.

Great comments and breakdown of that terrible run play that Oregon called for Nix against UW last year. You have relieved my fears a bit regarding Bo running a little more. Plus, when I combine that with Bo's exceptional QB mental processing speed, I feel even better about it.

I kind of hate this idea, but I also think I love it. I hate it because I fear the greater chance of injury. But then I think back to the last two games of the 2020 season when Mario finally freed Justin, to be Justin... and he ran all over Utah & Wisconsin. We potentially have three games left. So, to your comment, I'm afraid that I agree... Let Bo run when the opportunity is there.

While I have 'only' been going to Duck games since 1973, in my humble opinion, you are 100% spot on with your above comment. We've had some great teams along the way, but I don't remember seeing a team with the focus and consistency that this team has displayed over these last 6 games. Just 3 more games with this kind of focus to go.

First of all, they're Beaver fans... so, in other words, they're dumb. Second of all, as we all know, nobody has got any coach for life anymore. But, since they are Beaver fans, which means that they're dumb, they may have actually believed the tripe that they spewed.

When did Smith say this? A month ago, two months ago? I would really like to see the link to him saying this, and know what date it was. Because, let's face it, one month in college football today is a long time, especially with all that has been changing in the Pac-12. But I don't understand why you are suggesting that he lied. Perhaps people just can't handle the truth which is that every coach in the land who has an agent, has an agent who is listening to all inquiries from colleges looking to hire a head coach. The fact that this appears to be news to anybody, is a bit bizarre to me. Comparing Smith's honest comment to that of Slick Willy or Mario, is unreasonable, inaccurate, and incongruent.

I really feel for the kid, and especially the team. But right now, I feel like the odds of us making a field goal are just slightly higher than my odds at a craps table in Vegas. But I'm still hopeful that whatever switch needs to get flipped in Cam's head, happens by Friday.

From afar, it absolutely looks like it could be ribs... and as most know, rib injuries suck, particularly if you're a QB playing at the FBS level. But something definitely gave in on that guy during the Oregon game.
