  1. Sorry, but Oregon State declaring that they will not entertain invitations that don't exist is kind of priceless. As the writer in the article says: "Declaring they’re not going to look elsewhere would be like the guy at the local bar declaring he’s not dating multiple supermodels." However, I do wish the Beavers good luck. And for that matter, I think that we're going to need some luck as well. Oregon State Declares Loyalty To The PAC-12 Amid Chaos – OutKick WWW.OUTKICK.COM Oregon State wants the world to know it won't chase invites that almost certainly don't exist. Will the Beavers leave the PAC-12?
  2. I'd say it either AI, or perhaps a politician out of DC.
  3. I'm not sure if the Babylon Bee could have come up with something as funny and ridiculous as this. "... in violation of equity focused policies.” Wow. That's amazing. But it would sure be fun to watch them enforce this.
  4. What I remember about Brooks while at Oregon is that he was a very good player, and arguably, an even better flopper. This was one for the ages:
  5. I would like to offer the following piece of advice to guys on the eve of getting drafted into the NFL draft: It might be best for your future contract to not get drunk in public and go on a little rampage. But that's just my $0.02
  6. "Charles, it's no longer 'the Ukraine'." Well... Charles is still kinda right here. "The Ukraine" refers to a geographic region that extends beyond the nation borders of "Ukraine." So, perhaps Charles was wanting to be more inclusive and thinking beyond just the confining geographic borders of Ukraine. Admittedly, however, I am spit-wadding here 😉
  7. "Chargers QB Justin Herbert Has Shoulder Surgery" With the way the Chargers allowed Justin to get utterly trashed this season by the defense, I'd suggest that if he's going to stay with the Chargers, Justin get most of that as $500 MM as guaranteed money. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35552735/chargers-qb-justin-herbert-surgery-repair-torn-labrum

  9. Bill was the greatest of ambassadors for the City of Portland and the Blazers. And for some reason, when I think of him, he reminds me of the wonderful city Portland once was. Such great memories. R.I.P. and God Speed, Bill Schonely.
  10. Compared to this debacle, we almost look competitive.
  11. Now that is a spectacular stat. Well done, Tulane!
  12. Apparently, Tulane is the "Moneyball" of college football.
  13. I'm half expecting Elon to reach out to Charles for advice... maybe even a CEO offer 😉. All I know is that the world would be a much better place if OBD rules ruled worldwide. "OBD Worldwide. Ducks & Drift-boats" And I'm saying that as a guy who has gently had his hand smacked by Charles a few times... and rightfully so.
  14. Sorry Joshua for trying to give Charles credit for your fine work... Great article. Thank you for the depth.
  15. I saw something like this happen at a high school game about 10 years ago. It was horrific for all involved - players, coaches, fans. The rest of the game was canceled and both teams and fans gathered in prayer mid-field. It's such a tough reminder that we are all so very human, and that what truly matters has less than zero to do with the outcome on the scoreboard. Hope and prayers for Damar Hamlin, his family, teammates, and coaches.
  16. Great article, Charles. All of it is so spot on. And, as you said, Oregon is not far off from being there.
  17. Giving the business to Riley & USC just never gets old for me. But I'm sure, like the proverbial "check in the mail," Riley's offer is as well.
  18. Sorry to say, but I believe your prescribed punishment just crossed over into the realm of "Cruel & Unusual Punishment." I mean, Charles is bad, but that's just taking it a bridge too far. 😉
  19. LOL... and I'm stealing this!
  20. "Can you imagine both the la schools playing against Mich., OSU..." Why yes I can. And like you, I'm sure the thought puts a big smile on both of our faces.
  21. USC had a 2-1 time of possession advantage... 40 minutes to 20 minutes. USC had 29 first downs compared to Tulane's 16. USC's Heisman winner was 37/52 with 462 yards & 5 TDs. Tulane's QB was 8/17 for 234 yards. And USC still lost. Admittedly, however, I may be deriving a tad bit too much pleasure from this fabulous game. Nahhhh
  22. I'm sorta, kinda, pretty sure, that any further comments from USC homers about USC should have been in the CFP, is now beyond 6ft underground and is officially dead. Tulane ripped their hearts out. How sweet it is.
  23. Thank you for this very, very, nice New Year's gift. And it's so fun to know that Utah beat them twice this season as well.
  24. From Yale School of Medicine: "If you’ve ever had a rib or rib cartilage fracture, you know that this type of injury causes severe pain. A hallmark of a rib fracture is that a deep breath makes the pain worse. Pain from a fractured rib can even impede your breathing, leading to a chest infection. The usual time taken for complete recovery from a rib and/or cartilage fracture is approximately three to four months… but full recovery can take as long as six months. Refraining from strenuous activities and taking adequate rest can speed up the healing time." Anyone who has had a fractured rib(s) or cartilage knows how horribly painful this injury. When I cracked three ribs, just the thought of someone touching my chest makes me wince. It hurt like hell just to breath. How Justin got back out there the following week, and every week thereafter, is beyond me.
  25. The contorted and inverted attempt at logic here just tells me that USC fans are doing serious drugs down there in So Cal.
