  1. Quaaaaack Threeeee! Beevrats are OUT
  2. If he develops and coaches these kids up and there a lotta future Sunday players, this offense will scare even Georgia defenses. And our D looks to be headed that way too!
  3. It's a little different system, kicker specific, and we've had some 5* before that didn't pan out. Not sure how Utah did it, or what they were rated, but them and UCLA seemed to have a long history of always having all-American punters and kickers. We had the punter that was a Ray Guy finalist back in the Chip Kelly years, but hopefully this kid will be at that level. Morgan Flint wasn't the 55 yd. FG every time kid, but was very consistent inside 45.
  4. I think the new transfers in, plus the talented '23 class and what we are likely to recruit going forward...we'll be really good this year and even better down the road. Only concern is QB next year, although year 2 for Novasad and anther 20 lbs,..could be ok, and probably another 20 in year 3...or TT breaks out of the shell?
  5. Is August really fall? Right now I'm wondering if late June is really summer...dog dish frozen in the mornings, heater on. But this week supposed to go 90's and just the thought of the talent coming in fires me up plenty. 9 weeks!!!
  6. There will be a couple true freshmen who will make a big splash this fall, as well as some of the transfers, on both sides of the ball. Defense in particular. Lanning has his type of players who fit his scheme better on D. I see a drastic improvement over last year, and the Offense will be record setting. Civil War game...Mateo sacks his brother. Your description of a pick 6 gave me an additional fantasy. Mateo steps around about to make another sack and DJ doesn't see him as he tries to flick a quick screen out to the edge. Short range snag, bobble, grab and run. Dorlus coming around pancakes DJ with a block as DJ tries to go tackle his brother to prevent the TD. This year is gonna be great
  7. All of these things are always so much built upon "last year" and hindsight is 20/20 but foresight is missing with these clowns.
  8. I can wait. Now, I hope WE have a lot of NFL type DB's (current recruiting is very promising!) I wanna beat the mutts and USuC so bad and I hope our offense overloads them big time. Now, can our D get pressure this year, that might be the real difference.
  9. The 5 star LB's (and elite interior D linemen didn't hurt any) were a staple of the Lanning 4-2-5 at Georgia. Elite DB's don't hurt either I suppose, but fast guys who can support against the run are key. Noah Sewell didn't really fit the flow. I agree these coaches see high upside 3 stars like the Belotti/Kelly years. I think this staff will develop them like those coaches too, unlike Mari Cristbal. Hopefully they are under-ranked gems, they seem to get a lot of interest from other schools and their stars jump up once they commit to Oregon. It must be true or other coaches wouldn't suddenly offer just because Oregon got a commit...they must know this staff is going to be good and I can't wait for this fall.
  10. No podium, a close 4th. Good job but...Feels like something needs to change to get back to where Track Town should be. We need a world class indoor facility, Mr. Knight. We have the coolest track stadium in the world already. What's the deal? Men scored 2 points. Ugh.
  11. Jordan Van Klinken won the discus by 15 feet!!!
  12. Texas will go 8-4, USuC will not finish top 10, nor make a NY6 bowl. Holiday bowl maybe. Mutts will be 9-3 I agree LSU wins SEC West. Not so sure tOSU will be in the playoff. PSU and MI may beat each other up
  13. The future looks bright! And, 🤣 beevwads don't make a super regional, and we have a real shot at Omaha! Mutts lost too. Oh happy day
  14. I saw Bigfoot tracks...in the Siskiyous. In 1984
  15. Yeah, the Dan and Will show now, resurrecting the O. And the D under Lanning will not be far behind, and as mentioned above...depth, despite 25 portals beamed out (and some great pieces beamed up and in!). The RB room deserves mention for it's depth as well, plus WR as Charles mentions. The competition on Defense will make us much improved there I think, and our offense could make opponents unable to keep up. Only concern is O-Line, but even with 4 starters graduated, there is a lot of experience and the 2 big time transfers in...I think even here we have more depth than we realize, it's just a matter of getting into Stein's system and getting it dialed. With all of Nix's weapons, we can have a balanced O that doesn't require Nix to take off and risk injury so much, but the O line will be key, obviously. I think this season will be remarkable.
  16. Which ever transfer guard can shoot most consistently, especially from deep, could very well join Shelstad in the back court. Someone who plays D and doesn't turn it over as well. Who is the primary handler behind Shelstad will have to earn that too. I really see the true freshman having bigger roles than this article suggests. Dante will hopefully improve even more, same with Bittle...is either really a good fit as a 4? Will Evans be ready? Maybe against certain lineups Dante and Bittle will complement each other on the floor better than last season, although if Altman can find more ways to play big ball and they both continue to develop (and Bittle adds another 20 lbs) this could be a scary lineup, and deep...really deep by mid-season as the true freshman gain big league D1 experience. If these kids all take DA's message about being first in the gym and last out, March could roll into April. Let's hope! Go Ducks!
  17. No dilemmas, just smiles...both mutt squads were eliminated today 😊
  18. aTm will probably pull another 6-6 at best. USuC could be in for 8-4 or 9-3. Let's see how the Pac treats them and sucLA this year!
  19. I'm starting to agree with you more on LSU, and not as stoked on FSU. Texass will be 8-4 at best, and I think USuC will be 10-2 or 9-3, as will the mutts. Beevwads will be 9-3 or 8-4, and Utah without Rising will be 8-4. sUCLA will be 8-4 at best. Pac will rip itself at the top, a lot of good teams but more balanced records than last year, which doesn't help media deals an perception. Tennessee won't be that good, more like 9-3 if it goes well. Some G5 team will go 12-0 and beat a B1G team in a January 1st bowl. I hope.
  20. Why has he played at 612 different colleges since high school? Not particularly impressive numbers. Only played 17 games and just 7 starts?
